Clean shades at last!

My old shades had become stained and yellowed these fit well and I love that they come with a harp new white will crisp up the room for spring and I’ll refurbish the old ones with black fabric and gold on the inside giving me options love it! I had been looking for replacements for a while!

Perfect Size

This is a very pretty shade. It was the size we needed which was most important. Because of our decor, I wish we had other color options, but my husband made our lamps and finding a shade to fit was difficult until we found these. I would highly recommend these shades - good quality, very quick delivery and packaged very well.

Cheap plastic box with glued on fabric

Save your $40. I bought this because the size was perfect for my needs, and I thought that ivory linen was a safe bet. Unfortunately the description of this item does not mention at all its MAIN material - cheap white plastic. Instead of being made of wire + fabric, it is actually a flimsy plastic box with the only wire bit glued to its top, and with external sides covered in glued-on fabric. The inner sides are not covered in fabric, so when installed you can see right away it being not a fabric shade (as it appears on the picture here), but in fact a flimsy plastic box. The edges of the shade are not made of wire, as one may expect, but are of a plastic box. Now, for the price I was not expecting a solid brass construction or any luxuries, but not something that looks that bad. Using , say, a plastic salad container covered with a pillow case would look more expensive. No wonder there was an unspecified prep65 warning below the description, which I sadly ignored. Unfortunately due to its size it may be too difficult to return.

These were what we got when we returned the round shades we thought would work, but when we got them home did not like the look. Easy exchange, excellent service!

Great for crafting

I painted the shade with latex paint to match the walls and drapes. Then I applied silver leaf to change the reflection of the light and soften the glow. The shade was opaque and made pools of soft cool light. The gold leaf creates more of a candle light effect.
