[Rewarded Review] Great beverage refrigerator

Our new refrigerator was delivered undamaged. With the the help of my strong son and hubby we got it to the basement and unboxed. It was easy to unbox and setup. You get to choose the side you want the handle / direction the door opens. We let it sit for a couple of days before plugging in, then gave it a wash out with mild soap and water to get rid of the new fridge smell. We like cold beverages so we set it to the coldest setting at 37° and left it empty for another day. After it reached temperature, we loaded it up and now have a fridge full of very cold beverages. I really enjoy the blue light on the interior, I think it gives it a great look. It runs silently and keeps everything at a chilly 37°. We are very happy with our purchase.

Not recommended

First unit would only cool down to 48 degrees. Customer service sent replacement temp sensor, which got it down to 46 degrees. Customer service sends new unit. Second unit cools to 45 degrees. Does not cool down to 34 degrees as advertised. Forget the NewAir and get the Frigidaire FGBC5334VS, as it cools to 28 degrees, and is $200 cheaper than this NewAir model. I've had to bump up the thermostat to 41 on the Frigidaire to keep my beer from freezing. I'll stick with the Frigidaire.

Not Worth It

I bought this unit new from wm in 2019. It has NEVER kept the temperature below 44. The buttons on the panel used to lower the temp flash 44. You can push the button to lower the temp by one degree all you want, it returns to 44 degrees. It's been like this since purchase. If the power goes out, when it comes back on it warms up and you have to do the button thing again to keep it at 44. I gave this one star since I believe this unit is only good for red wine. For that, it would be great. Although it is advertised for "cans" not wine and in real life you can't use it for cans of soda.

Not truly reversable door

Just received this beverage Fridge today after my old one died after 19 years of service. This unit is VERY quiet, great look, especially the blue LED light you can set to be on low all the time. The only negative I have is that is really IS NOT a reversable door. Yes, they give you hardware to change from the left-side opening to a right-side opening, but the door which has a name plate on it must be placed upside-down!! REALLY? Come on Newair, design your product to actually be reversable. When I asked Newair about it, their answer was they could send me a sticker to put over the name plate......

[Rewarded Review] Great buy very happy with purchase

After several months of hunting, I purchased ABR-1770 Newair. Once I received my item i let it sit for about 3 full days before plugging in to make sure all was good. Then I plugged in and never added any beverages for about 1 full day. I added cans after and other drinks. My drinks are absolutely cold. No damage to frig. There is a plastic container that comes inside the frig, I called Newair they advised to add water to the container and place on middle rack towards the back. They advised it keeps the fridge from drying out. I bought this to replace my dishwasher I do not use. The only draw back I have is I got a drink pushed the door closed to come back and see it was opened. So make sure when you close the door to push door until it closes so it doesnt pop back open.

[Rewarded Review] Good look and price but disappointing performance

I've had this fridge in use now for about 3 months and can only report below expected performance. I will say that the manufacturer has been very supportive and delivered good customer service, but the fridge is overall disappointing (more below,)

Very affordable for a beverage fridge that is vented for cabinet installation. Downsides include the door has to be closed gently, otherwise it opens slightly and is easily not noticeable. Also the shelves have small retainers that screw into the interior sidewall, half of these were stripped so that they won't stay in. Not sure how this will effect performance long term. While it's true that the internal blue light doesn't do much for lighting up the interior of the fridge, it makes for a nice nightlight for the room. Light doesn't shut off when door is closed, has a button to manually turn the light on/off. Overall I really like the fridge. Cooled down quickly after being plugged in and seems to maintain its temperature well.

[Rewarded Review] Decent mini fridge....However

This is our 3rd mini New Air mini fridge. The first one, purchased in 2018 last up until March of 2020 then completely stopped cooling. Blew cool air but not cold. Luckily we had purchased the warranty. The replacement arrived but had a large dent on the front door. We called and Beat Buy replaced it without issue and picked up our old one. There was an issue with the delivery date and pick up of the damaged fridge. The unit itself has been a bit loud...it does make periodic humming/chirping sounds unlike any of mini fridge we have had in the past. I am not sure if it will be a long term issue...waiting to see if it continues.
