[Rewarded Review] Buy a better unit - this is not the one

Junk. The first one I purchased delaminated around the edges in 10 days. I exchanged for another, it lasted 5 days. Hung in a climate controlled office 15 feet from the nearest window, zero sunlight hits the are. Do not buy this. Upgrade or shop elsewhere. Going back for a refund in 3, 2, 1.....

[Rewarded Review] Old time security

I purchased this for the office. When we have very confidential, "strictly secret in-office notes", instead of using the internet for emails, and risking our private information get out,... we use this board so no one but us can see it. This has save so much company worry, and made our work life so much better. We do recommend it.

You get what you pay for

I bought this a week ago. The installation was easy. The board itself is a bit flimsy. Meaning when I write on the board in the center there is a noticeable amount of give. Writing on the board, for now, is frustrating as the board has some substance that erases part of the ink of the dry erase marker. Even with pressuring the pen on the board there is some substance on the board that makes dry erase marker erase itself slightly. This makes it hard to write anything down as the words I write end up being disfigured.

Board doesn't hold ink

The ink recedes almost instantly. Photos included show original writing on board and what it looks like about ten seconds later. I've tried expensive dry-erase markers and cheap ones. Seems to be a board issue. My dry-erase board is now nothing more than a post-it note holder. I can't take the board back, because my local store closed.

Board does not work - markers recede quickly

This board does not work. The markers recede quickly after being applied to board. I used expo markers. I am a grad student, don't have money and ESPECIALLY the time to rectify the issue of which it is the manufacturer's fault. If you read other reviews, you will find that there's a tendency for this board to fail to retain ink from a marker -- which obviously still has yet to be address - let alone a product warning online or at the stores about this DEFECT. I bought this product in store, hence I read the reviews now.

decent and meets my needs

The large size is perfect for me, and I like that the trim is narrow. Haven't mounted it yet but I like that the tray can be attached in vertical or horizontal positions. Only issue is that some dry-erase markers do not work well and fade away instantly. I am using Expo brand markers (low odor chisel and fine), some go on the board clearly and some the ink starts to recede as soon as it goes on the board. I have a small, magnetic white board and tested the markers, and they all show up without fading. So it must be the material of this white board.

[Rewarded Review] Good construction

Bought this to hang above a desk vertically and have plenty of room for writing reminders without having to erase anything. It certainly does the job. I appreciate the clear mounting instructions and extra screws + drywall anchors included; that was a nice touch. My only quip is a small one: the frame has drilled holes for the marker tray, but only on the longer side. I had to drill holes into one of the short sides to orient the board vertically with the marker tray. Besides this, it's a solid board.

[Rewarded Review] Good value on a great tool!

I had been shopping around for a dry erase board that was big, but affordable, for awhile to use at home for homeschooling my children. This is a great product for the decent price. It was very light, which was great for transport as well as hanging. I used hook & loop closure tabs (Command strips) to hang it, due to it being so light & living in an apartment, so I try to minimize putting holes in the wall. My only minor issue is that the lightweight whiteboard is a tiny bit flimsy when I'm writing on it, but it is a fair tradeoff for the benefits of being lightweight & affordable.

[Rewarded Review] I want to hold your dry erase marker ink forever!!

Wow... I've never had such poor performance from a whiteboard in my life. I ended up purchasing 4 different colors from two manufacturers (office depot and expo), 8 total markers, to see which color would wipe off without leaving a shadow on to board... red from office depo brand worked the best. EVERY other color would leave ghosts or simply wouldn't wipe off with an expo eraser or white cloth. Purchased specialty whiteboard moist cleaning cloths to help.... it got the board clean, but after waiting for the board to fully dry, the markers continued to leave ghosts when wiped clean.

[Rewarded Review] The worst product I've ever bought

I bought 4 of them. 52 dollars EACH. PAID someone $100 dollars to hang them securely on the wall. Prepared to hold a meeting. NO type of Dry Erase Marker would work on them. Ruined the meeting. PAID someone to remove them and take them back. The worst piece of garbage ever. They are trash. Office Max is doing YOU (and every customer like me) a disservice from even offering them for sale. They should PAY ME for taking them back. Horrible. Just Horrible.

[Rewarded Review] Excellent White Board

I purchased this white board for presentations and to post reminders. The quality is very good and the size is perfect for school. It was easy to mount on the wall. It was a little warped, but that all worked out when you emplaced the screws. The price was very reasonable. I would purchase another one.

So-so functionality

The product is not as expected. The size is great, the sheen is excellent, but I cannot write on it with Expo low-odor fine tip dry erase markers. As soon as I write, the ink shrivels up. Perhaps the surface has too much sheen? Do not have this issue with the other white boards in the house, just the Office Depot brand.

Ink Transfer Concern

This board has an issue with the ink not drying properly with Expo markers. Appears that the board is resisting the ink and the red and black ink is noticeably worse than the blue. Not sure if it’s the markers or the board but seeing as other folks have had issues, Ill assume its the board. I cleaned the surface and it had no effect. Price is good but thats the only plus.

[Rewarded Review] Great Whiteboard but NOT Magnetic

I bought this a couple weeks ago for distance learning and it is working great. I did not double check before I bought it but it is not magnetic. It arrived in great condition. Easy to install. The tray works but great but make sure you screw it in before mounting the board. Oops! I didn’t and while it works, it feels flimsy. I’m sure it would be more secure if I had installed it as directed!!! If you don’t need your whiteboard to be magnetic, this is a great option.

[Rewarded Review] Frame is not attached well

We bought 2 of these, hung them on the wall, and then had to clean up the debris of the things they broke when they fell off the wall. The frame is glued on, but not well. It completely pulled off from both boards. Our office is air conditioned, so it wasn't heat or humidity that did it. They are now leaning against the wall reminding us that we need to replace them.

Worst whiteboard I've ever written on

I bought this and had to return it because there was a gash behind the paper. Finally brought it home and started writing on it with new Expo markers and the ink dries really weird. I've never seen this on a whiteboard before. It like somewhat disappears. I'll bring it back to the store tomorrow. Maybe they have something different.

[Rewarded Review] Very helpful when having to teach online

My wife is a geography professor who is having to teach online from home via Zoom. This dry-erase board is the perfect size for her teaching needs. It is light and easy to move also. The only thing to be careful about is that the corner brackets are plastic so they may break if the board is dropped and lands on a corner. Otherwise, it is a good product that works fine for our needs.

[Rewarded Review] Good price, decent product

This is one of the more affordable boards I found. It does the job. The corner clips we noticed broke very easily during shipping though. They are only help on by these tiny little plastic pins that push in and during shipping they must have hit the edges of the box and damaged the corners and they fell off. We just popped them back on and dabbed them with some glue. Not ideal, but it worked.

Coarse Writing Surface

This is a light weight board that I mounted with "damage free 3M wall hangers." I rent and needed a light weight solution to avoid putting holes in the walls. My primary drawback with this board is the rough writing surface, which makes it difficult to erase. You will need to spray it down after just about each use to eliminate your markings. I purchased two of these boards, and both of them had bent frames/shipment damage. I just accepted the bent frame and kept them anyways, as this is the second set of two whiteboards that I have tried to purchase that had shipment damage.

Sturdy Dry Erase Board

This is a very nice dry erase board. The price is reasonable compared to other sellers. It appears to clean up easy and looks nice with screws hidden behind corner tabs. One of the snaps on one corner tab was broken off, but it still held with the other tab. Comes with screws and anchors which give it a sturdy mount to a wall. If you want a larger dry erase board, I recommend this one. If you are okay with something a little smaller, the prices are much lower for a smaller dry erase board.
