As described

File cabinet is just as described, comes with lock already installed and keys to fit. The only assembling was screwing on the handles which is very simple. The metal construction is sturdy and sufficient, but not quite as heavy duty as some other more expensive options. For typical small office or home use this is perfect.

Works as expected, quality is fine

I wasn’t expecting the highest quality or sturdiest cabinet at this cost. That said, I’m pleased with the product. It arrived on time, is easy to use and seems solid enough for what I paid for it. Happy with it.

Good price, but I wish it had a better design

There's no way to remove the file drawers completely. I had hoped to drill some holes in the back to attach it permanently to the wall so it wouldn't tip.

file cabinet - 4 star rating

its about 2" shorter in height than my other one & just enough to have to measure 3 ring binders if I want to put them in a hanging file. It takes the less expensive binders OK - but not the more expensive ones. It's OK but a bit disappointing. I did not notice measurements on ordering - thinking 2 drawer file cabinets were the same overall dimensions.

The file cabinet broke on the first day right after unpacking and loading my files in the cabinet. Both the top and bottom drawer very easily come off the track. At first, I thought it was the way I put hanging files in the cabinet. But this recurred repeatedly after I would put back on track. In addition, the file cabinet lock does not prevent the files from being opened. Overall, cheap design, even for a household use not to mention if it was used in an office. Overall, cheap design and construction --- BUYER BEWARE, DON'T BUY!!!!

compact size - just what I wanted

This is a nice compact size. It's just what I wanted. It fits under my desk to save space. The handles feel secure, and the drawers glide easily and quietly, which I love! Seems to be well made. I downsized from much, much larger file cabinets which took up a lot of space. I now have just the essentials in these 2 drawers and I have put the rest of my files in storage.

Light weight indeed! Lock is a Joke!

The file cabinet arrived days ahead of time, which I really appreciate. However, I did exactly what the recommendation(s) said. I ensured that my papers and handing folders were evenly balanced in the top and bottom drawers to avoid the file cabinet from tipping over due to unbalancing.

Inferior Quality

Got the first one - the drawers hold no weight at all. As soon as the files are in the drawers droop and you can't line them up to lock it. Tried to return it to the store. I was told that I was 2 days past the return time allowed. After arguing with them they "did me a favor" and kept that one only to ship me another one - exactly the same that was junk. I would never ever recommend that anyone purchase this filing cabinet - no matter how low the sale price. So very disappointing and annoyed.

Arrived Dented & NonFunctional

Upon arrival I removed the file cabinet from the box & found a large dent in the top. Because I was in immediate need I decided to ignore the dent & just live with it. After the drawers were loaded with files (1/2 full each drawer) the top drawer fell off its track & became lodged inside & no longer removable. The unit is poorly constructed with thin tin. The hardware is typical Chinese crap that breaks within minutes of use. I’ll be tossing this piece of junk & purchasing a replacement that is certainly not this brand.

Well made. Solid. Love it!

If you're looking for a file cabinet that will last for a lifetime (home office use) this might be the ticket. I bought the 4-drawer first and was so pleased with it that 2 weeks later I added the 2 drawer. It's solid, designed to hold full drawers of paper. Drawers pull open full length less 4", which gives excellent access to whatever is in the very back of the drawer. Arrived in perfect condition and the packaging was impressively protective. I am delighted!
