Used For The First Time Thanksgiving

I have only had the set for a few weeks. We are very careful with it. NO dishwasher usage. ONLY rubber cooking utensils. NEVER cook on more than medium or medium high heat because of potential warping. I have read reviews that complain of coating coming off in a few months and return policy is not very good. Hope I have better luck. Used everything at Thanksgiving. Looked and performed beautifully.

Poor performance over time

We purchased this set 5 months ago. They worked great, however of the 5 months the 2 pans that we've used the most have worn poorly. I reached out to the company to attempt to find out if they can cover these under warranty. They replied letting us know "Stains, discoloration, and scratches on the inside and the outside of the utensil constitute normal use, do not affect performance and are not covered by this warranty. Exterior paint is strictly cosmetic and does not affect the performance of the product, thus, is not covered by our warranty."

Smaller than I thought

I thought the pans would be bigger. I have bought the other set of 2 and they are a big size. Black color on the outside was different than the gray on the other pans i have. Didn't realize that you couldn't use pans on high heat on burners but supposedly oven safe to 500. Im confused.

Great cookware at a Great Price

I am not a kitchen person, but wife and grown kids are. So I bought 3 sets as presents over a year ago. All 3 recipients rave about these pans. They use these almost exclusively. So much so that I just purchased three expanded sets at their requests; not to mention the doorbuster price of $75 for 10 piece set is unreal.

Ok so we got a set of these and yes, they're non stick which is great. What isnt so great? You can't cook at high temperatures so stuff takes forever to cook. We've had the set 1 year and the coating is chipping and scratched... we use silicone or wooden utensils in them. We've never used metals in them so they should be fine. They also smell so bad... they're "supposed" to be non toxic but I cant imagine the chemicals they're releasing into my food if they smell this bad

Not for glass cooktops! Scratches new stovetop...

I rarely give negative reviews, but I talked my wife into purchasing this pan set since we also bought a new stove with a glass cooktop (which we've owned before). Read closely... The misleading description of "no scratch" is only for the cookware NOT THE STOVE SURFACE, apparently. The description is terribly misleading, IMHO. Our new cooktop has numerous scratches now, which now can't be buffed out. Not only is our new stove damaged, but we are tossing out these poorly designed pans. Don't get me started on the flaking on the inside surfaces only 30 days in! I'm a big Sam's fan, because they normally do a good job pre-selecting products based on quality AND price. Take my advice...Both the manufacturer and Sam's blew it with this set of attractively priced (and deceptively described) cookware. Keep looking, don't settle. This purchase cost us much more than the purchase price of the set of pans! 😞

Starfrit will NOT honor warranty. PTFE flakes

Canadian company Les Promotions Atlantique Incorporated failed to honor their warranty for The Rock cookware set that I have had for one year and nine months. Jumped through all the hoops for their three year warranty and Starfrit did not honor the warranty.

I love these plans for cleaning up and non stick cooking, but In reading the care and instructions for them they are supposed to only be used at medium temperature or belowwhen cooking. This makes it takes longer to cook with in some cases than the traditional aluminum pots and pans. They are also best not put in the dishwasher, but hands washed instead. That's sometimes annoying, but I do want these to last as I really like how great they are for non stick. They don't need any oil or butter to cook so it's great for cutting back on added fats.

This cookware was rated best buy by Consumer Reports. Nowhere in the Home Essentials Direct description did it say don't use on high heat. Consumer reports didn't mention it either. Disingenuous to say the least. How can you have cookware that can't be used on high heat? What's up with that? For that is't 3 stars with 1 star for durability.

So far with about 2 weeks of ownership and use, we like it very much. They have a heavy feel, solid, and the same with the handles. The handles do get hot, so I would use a pot holder. The finish is great, feels old fashioned. Also would suggest using wooden utensils instead of metal as it would preserve the inside coating/surface much longer. Had never heard of this brand name or ever seen it displayed anywhere. I Highly recommend this product. I feel it will finally fulfill our needs as a quality set of cookware. Amazing!
