Great nightstand for quest room!
Yes, it needs to be assembled.
I would recommend this to a friend if the friend had the ability to put it together. It was a very frustrating experience for two different full grown men, one who is a contractor. That being said, once together it felt pretty solid. This is definitely a "you get what you pay for" situation. This is not fine furniture, I would expect a life of only a couple of years if placed anywhere but a guest room, which is where this will go. It's attractive and well priced.
This Homestyles Bedford Black Nightstand is very nice! Easy to assemble and seems to be very good quality. We bought the headboard first, and it was so well made- we ordered the nightstand and chest as well!

Great nightstand
Perfect addition to go along with the matching bed. Easy to follow instructions. Quality of quite good, maybe not the heaviest duty but fine for normal guest room use, etc.

Small but it works
I bought two of these for a small guest room that we seldom use. They work because the room is small. I probably wouldn't use them in the main bedroom, they're kind of lightweight.
Poorly made and extremely difficult to assemble. Instructions are useless.

Sturdy, attractive and functional.
Very nice little stand. Well built and easy assembly. Modified the finish to match the rest of the bedroom. Arrived super fast from Overstock. Couldn't be happier.
Beautiful nightstands and the perfect size. Bought two of these night stands, one on each side of the bed and they are perfect for a smaller room. Finish is pretty and drawers are well made

Very nice and sturdy nightstand. It’s a little small (which I like) but it surprisingly has plenty of storage. It’s very nice. I highly recommend.
