Almost has it all

Plenty of space for kids to share, sturdy and good storage. Would’ve got 5 stars, but assembly took longer than it should have because you have to drill your own screw holes. Also wish it was magnetic.

Jumbo Easel

I bought this last week, my nephew love it, he started writing, after we assemble and set to use. It was great alternative to write, draw his favorite pictures, big enough for him, he could use for painting and write or draw over again. He can avoid writing on the wall. I recommend this Art Jumbo Easel! Thank you

Easy Easel

Looks exactly as the picture from website. Nice size very toddler friendly. My granddaughter loves it. Many compartments for crayons and paint

So excited for my daughter to unwrap this for her birthday. The pieces are not individually wrapped in the box (except for the art surface) so the plastic pieces do have some minor scuffing and scratching, but it’s a kids toy, so I’m sure it’s going to see some abuse anyways. I’ve read some reviews that complain about the instructions and lack of predrilled holes, but if you’ve ever read a picture book and if you have a Phillips screw driver, I’m sure you’re capable of putting it together. Feels sturdy, love that it comes with the storage bins, and there is enough space for multiple kids to use it. Would definitely recommend this art easel if you have crafty kids.

Needs to be redesigned

I got this instead of the red easel for two that they sell because when I got the red easel it was unsteady and rocked when my child drew on it. So, I returned it and opted for this larger one to avoid the rocking issue. I have no idea why one side would not be magnetic on such a large easel, so I ordered a white board magnetic roll and covered the chalk board with it making it much more functional for my child to use his magnetic letters etc. The cups and bin holders constantly fall off.

High Quality

This was a Christmas gift for my daughter. She and my son both use it constantly. It is very large. Adults even used it for bracketing during a ping-pong tourney in our basement. Two kids can easily use at once. The baskets hold all of our crayons, markers, stickers, and assorted art materials. High quality

An art easel not meant for painting artwork

I bought this product directly through Step 2 and I was very excited to have my grandson open it this Christmas, until, I realized that this is an easel not meant for paint containers and paint brushes, so he can't paint. So now I have this JUMBO EASEL that he can only use with markers and crayons ( chaulk dust makes a mess, so that side of the board is something we wouldn't use anyway).I threw out the box, so a return was not possible. Okay, I said, we will use it for markers and crayons (which by the way he could easily use on a desk and would not have needed the easel ). So now I see that the Melissa and Doug art pad that I bought which seems common and works nicely under the yellow clips, IS TOO LARGE TO STORE UNDER THE EASEL! So the storage you see under the easel which looks like it would be for art pads, is meant for, hmmm, I'm not sure what! So now I see the little orange containers are to small for all the crayons and markers and my grandson has to pick up the storage containers on the left and right and place them on the floor in front of him to use his markers, hence he is tripping over these containers that he needs to place on the floor. The orange containers should have been deeper and wider, and by the way, the little shelf that holds markers directly under the easel is super narrow and will only hold a few markers. That little shelf should have been made much larger. I am very unhappy with the purchase. I bought it because my daughter loved her easel some 25 years ago and I wanted my grandson to have the same experience. Now everytime I walk past this easel, I feel very frustrated that I bought this JUMBO unit instead of getting a standard painting easel that would have taken up less space and would have provided more of a variety of art enjoyment.

Good for older child, great storage

This is the second jumbo art easel I have purchased. This purchase was for an older child (6 years), but she loves it. She loves having two surfaces to draw, both the white and chalk boards are great. They are easy to clean, and have storage bins for the her different art supplies, which keep it contained instead of all over the house. It is quite big so be sure you have enough room to use both sides. The clips to hold her artwork are very popular. No cons noted.

I would recommend this product and have bought another one..

I purchased this product for my two-year-old grand daughter. It is the perfect size for her, she has a place to store all of her art supplies and it encourages her to use the whiteboard and chalkboard to create her art instead of the walls! It was easy to put together. It is a good size so that she and another child can draw on different sides at the same time. It was exactly as it was advertised and we are thrilled with this purchase.

Love this Easel. Perfect for multiple children

Perfect for multiple children to use at the same time. I have a 2 & 3 year old so a single easel wasn't going to work, and two separate easels would have taken up far to much room. Perfect solution. There is enough room where they can paint or draw side by side, or one can be using the chalk board and the other can be painting. The storage makes for easy clean up, and keeps art supplies organized.

Would recommend - but measure first!

We bought this for our 2 year old on her birthday. She absolutely loves it, especially the white board. It did arrive with a small dent on the side of the boards (that luckily was hidden once put together) and a 3 inch scratch on the chalk board, but we figured it's nothing compared to the abuse it will get from a toddler, so decided not to make a fuss. I wish the chalkboard was a little bit easier to get clean. Perhaps we purchased the wrong brand of chalk, but a challboard eraser doesn't seem to do the job. I also wished I had thoroughly measured before purchasing as it's quite clunky and takes up a lot of space. That all being said, it was a great purchase as it occupies my daughter and she really seems to be enjoying it - and that was the whole point!

Excellent easel for two or more!

I wanted an easel that stored nicely and had enough surface area to entertain my two boys. This can be easily pushed against a wall even while in use. If they have friends over pull it away from the wall and up to 4 kids can each have space to draw! There is enough storage built into the bottom and side bins so you can keep all the art supplies in one area. There are clips for paper on the whiteboard side for paper. The only thing this is missing is magnectic element to one of the sides. All in all, for the money this is definitely the best bang for your buck!

I would definitely recommend this product to others.

I purchased the jumbo art easel for my granddaughter's 2nd birthday. She loves to color and paint with her mother so I knew this would be a great tool for her art work. She also has play dates with friends so the extra width of the easel allows both children to create at the same time. It is sturdy with no spindly legs for the toddlers to trip over. Another plus is that there is another side for potentially 2 others to have fun also. The bins and cups provided are very helpful to store all supplies needed right at their fingertips. I am sure this product will be a hit for years to come.The easel arrived when promised and was easy to assemble.

Great for your mini-Picasso!

We are in love with this Jumbo Art Easel! Ever since putting it together, my kids gravitate to it at least once a day. On the whiteboard side, coloring pictures and practicing letters with some dry erase markers has been the go-to activity; on the chalkboard side, they conduct their 'lessons' for their stuffed animal students. It's been a big hit.We have a five year old and a two year old, and my one worry before receiving the easel was that my five year old would be too tall to really enjoy it based on the size of the children in the promotional pictures (she's about 41 inches tall). My worry was unfounded, as the easel definitely accommodates her quite well and she will be able to use it for even a few more years. Both she and her two year old brother can fit on one side, so no problem sharing when both want a turn on either side!The included bins make it very easy to keep things organized, which is always a plus with kiddos around, and you can store quite a bit. For size reference, one of the smaller bins held a set of 10 dry erase markers and 12 pieces of chalk, with room to still hold a few more items. The bottom storage section is perfect to store books, packs of paper, or folded up smocks.Set-up time was quick, with only a few pieces to screw together. One thing I will note is that you do have to have a bit of muscle to get the screws in during the install process. There are no pre-made holes, just indentions where the screws need to go, so definitely needed a little bit of effort to start it off. Another reviewer mentioned that they used a power drill instead of a screw driver, and I think that would have saved us some time. Perfect for creative siblings!

I'm a step2 ambassador and received this product in exchange for my honest review. With my oldest at school, my littlest and I will be doing some preschool learning at home. Our new Step2 Jumbo Art Easel arrived just in time to get our craft on! One side is a dry erase board with clips for paper and the other side is a chalk board. I love that this easel is big enough for multiple children, so perfect for a classroom or if you have more than one child at home. The storage areas are awesome and can hold most of our preschool art supplies, making them accessible and organized. The little cups that hang on the front of the easel are perfect for holding water when watercoloring. The bottom part of the easel has a space that is perfect for storing paper or books. We're excited to create many masterpieces on this easel!

Perfect Art Storage Solution!

We recently gave away our children's art desk due to a lack of space. It just wasn't worth tripping over it anymore. I'm so glad I stumbled across the Step2 Jumbo Art Easel. It retails for less than half of what our previous desk was, has plenty of storage (4 small totes and 2 medium totes, along with an area to store coloring books), is 2 sided and takes up very little space!I can easily push it up against the wall in our office when not in use. Because it is double sided, several children can play with it at once. Right now my 4-year-old and her friend are both using it to paint pictures.Set up took less than 30 minutes and was very straightforward. I envision hours and hours of playtime with our new art easel.As with all of the Step2 products that we've owned over the years, it is a sturdy toy that will last a very long time. They are truly built to last.

Jumbo Fun!

As a parent to both a typically developing child and to one with special needs, I sometimes struggle finding toys/activities that stimulate both children...at the same time! So what a privilege it has been to test the new Jumbo Art Easel from Step2. My 2 year old who is developmentally delayed loves this easel because it allows her the space to play alongside her big brother and the freedom to confidently pull up to stand and cruise along its perimeter. As my 5 year old son better develops his dexterity and fine motor skills, he appreciates the "jumbo" writing/drawing surface of both the dry/erase and chalkboard sides of the easel. The only criticism from my son is that the dry/erase side should be magnetic and I agree. As a very organized mom, my favorite feature is its numerous bins that hold both my children's art supplies which can be removed and stored when necessary and easily put back when in use. The easel also comes equipped with a stationary bin at its base that is ideal for storing coloring books, construction paper, etc. There are 2 paper holders at the top of the dry/erase board which are great for displaying works of art. Other awesome features are the removable orange cups with handles (perfect for supplies or snacks) which hook onto the ledges at the base of both boards. The ledges provide quick and easy placement of supplies in use (my daughter grips the ledges and pulls to stand). I love how sturdy the easel feels which is paramount while my daughter gains more confidence in mobility. The easel is also a perfect height for both kids either standing or sitting. Great multi-child AIO art station!

My kids love this easel! We got this as a replacement to my son's art desk, and I love that it has so much to offer while taking up so little space. Before this easel, the only ones I could find available were extremely flimsy, had too little drawing space, and zero storage, so finding this really fills a need for us. For moms of more than one child, having two stations on each side saves us SO many fights, and the durable construction ensures that it isn't going to tip over if they decide to get rough with it.For features and storage, I love the design. Having ample storage bins for markers, chalk, paper, and anything else we might need saves space elsewhere, and the little cups that hang on the sides are genius! my kids can fill them up with whatever chalk/dry erase markers they are currently using, and not have to worry about throwing them on the floor or losing them in the mix. It is also great for taking a break and coming back to your drawing for later.Overall this is a great all-in-one larger scale art station, and I can see many happy drawings in our near future!

Super fun easel!

We love this easel! There are so many features that make it awesome. Assembly was easy and took about 15 minutes by myself with a Phillips-head screwdriver. It would be easier with a power drill or with an extra set of hands but it wasn't too difficult.I love that there's room for at least four kids (and possibly more!). This will be great for when our son gets older and he can use it with his sister without having to fight over it. It would be SO great for a daycare or anywhere you'll have multiple kids doing art.There's plenty of storage for all of your art supplies and paper/coloring books. I like that I finally have a place to keep everything together. The little holders for the orange cups are so perfect for my toddler's paint when she tends to spill otherwise. They'd also be great to hold crayons or markers so they're closer when being used.The yellow clips hold paper up very well and are easy to use even for our three-year-old. There are endless possibilities with what you can do on this easel. My daughter practiced copying her name on the chalkboard side, did some painting with watercolors and drew a picture of herself on the white board side...and that was just on the first day! Since then she's used it to make various pieces of art with crayons, colored pencils, markers, paint, and chalk. She's even played "school" with her little brother and pretended to write out lessons on the chalkboard!I love that the bins rest comfortably on the easel but that they can be removed for cleaning when they get dirty. The whole thing is easy to wash, actually-I just wet a paper towel and cleaned it off when my daughter was done. She was even able to help me clean it.Overall we love this easel!
