Reviews

The quality of this headboard is so cheap and flimsy that it does not even attach to the bed in any good way. I know it was not a costly item, but that should not get in the way of the headboard working as it should. It went in the trash since it was impossible to return (cumbersome and Wayfair would not absorb the shipping cost). It's not even good enough to give away! Disappointed. Unusable! And impossible to ship back!

Delivery was fine but the quality of the product and clarity of the instructions was not great! Not terrible but not what I would expect for a company selling a product that has to be assembled by yourself.

I needed something simple to replace old item. Looked several places but found at Walmart quickly. Didn't know Walmart had this product. Glad I looked.

Nice King Head Board

My husband was able to assemble the headboard with my little assistance. We lean the headboard against the wall and push the bed against the headboard. Good looking white headboard for a very good price. I am very glad that our pillows are no longer pushed %26 brushed against the wall which is painted with who knows what chemical.

We did get it built fairly quickly. Our only problem was the headboard attachment designed didn’t work with our bed frame. We managed a work around and it looks great.

Product looks nice, but it doesn't come with mounting hardware if you are using a metal frame. It advertises providing mounting hardware, but only does so if you are connecting to a wooden frame.

Assembly Nightmare

Assembly extremely difficult without the pilot holes that should have been created at the factory. Without the correct tools for us to do this, it is very aggravating. I see that Claire had this same problem TWO YEARS AGO! and the problem has still not been remedied. Make sure you have a handyman or handywoman around who has the tools and strength to help you assemble this headboard.

This headboard was pictured with the "step one full/queen platform bed". One would assume it was a good fit for it. One is wrong. :/ It's a nice enough headboard that in no way is meant for the platform bed it was pictured with. We screwed it to the wall instead. (There is no way to connect it to the bed frame.) Heads up!

Description says this will work with any standard metal bed frame, which is the main reason I bought this. That is completely untrue. It will absolutely not work with a metal bed frame. Currently working with the manufacturer to see about getting an adapter... otherwise Wayfair is going to have to figure out how to take this back.

CRAP

It's made of pressed wood chips. It came with a large chunk out of the face. The screws they sent were to long, poked through the finished face. The directions didn't have any words, only pictures. It's VERY flemsy. It feels like it's going to snap when you lean on it. Had to go to the hardware store to rig it. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!

Headboard wasnt complete! My husband had to drill the holes that hold onto the legs . This was already suppose to be done per the instructions. The headboard was all scratch up like it had been used when it was took out of the package! I wasnt very pleased with this and how my husband had to go out and buy the stuff to drill the holes that was suppose to be done already!! I wouldnt recommend this headboard unless you want to go out your way and do extra work that was already suppose to be done to the headboard!

Absolutely horrible

I bought this two years ago from an Amazon merchant and it has been the worst furniture purchase of my life. After two years of normal use, the headboard is chipping and wobbly. The black coating on top of the manufactured-wood (sawdust mixed with glue) is totally lifting and peeling. It is going to cost me more to dispose of it than I paid for it. I ended up replaced with a 100 year old antique that is solid, ornate, and well-made.

Arrived quickly, good price, easy to put together. 13 yo was able to put it together with little supervision. I did not read the description completely, it's intended to attach to a wooden frame that sits on the floor. However, with the proper bolts and washers it sucked to a standard metal bed frame. Story easy. It looks great in the room

Assembly is a nightmare

I'll preface with the fact that once this was FINALLY able to be put together, it looks great. However, assembly is a serious nightmare, even with their 2-adult recommendation. It requires you to screw 12 screws into a solid block of wood by hand (no holes pre-made to direct the screw or anything, because that way when the screws go in, they are as tight as possible), but to do this by hand, it requires a lot of muscle/weight to get it into the wood, even for an adult. They said we couldn't use a drill; I think it would have been easier to do it that way if you do it carefully. Doing this by hand is not worth it and is extremely difficult and frustrating.

Looks great

The price is great, the look is great. It was kind of hard to assemble at first, there are no words on the directions, only images. Some of the screws look the same as others in the graphic illustrations but once I figured it out, I assembled quickly. Some of the screws don't screw in all of the way but they are on the back so they are not visible. The base of the headboard did not fit our Temperpedic mattress frame, at all, so the headboard is not attached to the bed frame, it is merely wedged against the wall.

Not good for a full size bed

I bought this headboard for a full size bed. This product description should remove the full/queen and just keep it as queen. It is way to big to use with a standard full size mattress. Although once it was finally put together it looks very nice for the money it really has has created a new problem for being it looks awkward being it so long on both ends of the bed it doesnt look right !

2 Stars

Easy to assemble. It's made of presswood and right out of the box the laminate coating started peeling off. The headboard is extremely flimsy and flexible so leaning up against it seems completely out of the question. We are going to have to attach some 2x4 to the back to give it some strength so propping up against it will even be a reasonable option. It looks just like the picture.

Trash it

Not good. Very difficult to assemble. There were four places where holes were drilled, these very easy to screw. But there were 6 other Screw where the holes where not drilled. It was very had to tighten the screws.

Good but some minor issues

No complaints for $74 however there were a few annoyances which is why it's 4/5 stars. 1. It was difficult to line up the bottom and very top horizontal pieces as the lead holes did not line up exactly. That's a result of wood contracting / expanding so not sure if that's fair but I did manage to just barely get the top / bottom to fit. 2. The hardware to mount to your bed frame is not included. They say that in the instructions. 3. the platic plugs you need to push into the top 2 screws to hide the metal appearance do not fit right (can't push in all the way so they stick up) so the pins had to be cut / trimmed with pliers. However, if you're like me and don't want to spend a lot of $$ on furniture and willing to assemble yourself, you can't go wrong with this headboard.

Great for the price

Love the look, very basic but with a little style. Not to bad to put together and the black was a perfect shade to go with our other furniture. If your looking for something nice but inexpensive this is it! Would highly recommend. The only down side was they forgot the hardware for the headboard and had a wait an additional week for that. I feel they should of overnighted them.
