Most of the pieces were already assembled. You only need to put together the coffee table and place the cushions on. It feels sturdy and I hope will last for many years. It's extremely comfortable and the cushions seem very durable. It's our first set of patio furniture ever so it's hard to compare to anything but I feel like it's over-priced for what you get. The wicker is plastic and just some simple metal underlay. Unfortunately all patio furniture is expensive for whatever reason. I'll check back in another year or two for updates

Very nice and sturdy and attractive. The entire set came in one box, and I thought, "How does this whole patio set fit into this one box?" They actually did a superior job of fitting all of the parts into this box and I had to cut the sides of the box to extract all the seats, cushions, etc. The pieces were intact and as with any product made from plastic wicker material, there were a couple of small imperfections in the finish, but nothing really noticeable. The loveseat only needed six bolts to assemble the seat to the rest of the body...simple! Please note that when doing the assembly on this and the other part which I will describe next, that it is important to NOT tighten the bolts into place until you have all of them set into their proper position...more on that in a moment. Once you have the two pieces aligned, then tighten everything. It took about five minutes. Here's where I get confounded and frustrated with the manufacturer: They did a fabulous job one packing all the parts with minimal assembly EXCEPT for the stupid table and the idiotic instructions to put that together. All of the parts for the table were separate and the darn thing required a lot of time and patience to assemble and get every stinking piece to align properly before tightening it all together. I forget, but I think there were like three dozen bolts, washers and nuts to get the sides and legs together prior to tightening the whole mess. This, I think, is a major oversight by the manufacturer. It didn't have to be a project taking two plus hours to assemble the table. Everything else was ready to go and then this monstrosity taking up a ton of time and several attempts to get all the various parts lined up. That said, I think this is a good set and they do provide the weight limits for the chairs, loveseat and the ottomans as well.

My wife and I purchased this set. I assembled it all without much problem. There were stray strands of wicker in a half dozen spot that we tucked in. There were also 2 spots which appeared dented or deformed. Because they were in spots which were not obvious we overlooked it. The cushions are poorly made. Many seams are unraveling and thread is hanging off every cushion. OVERALL IMPRESSION.... DO NOT BUY......... OVERPRICED CHEAPLY MADE GARBAGE. Home Essentials Direct should pull this item.

This is the second set we have bought. We have one set on our outside Michigan deck that we have had through 4 summers. We cover them with the matching cover protectors for the winter and they look still look great. We purchased another set for our Florida home which will be inside our Lanai. We chose different colors for the cushions and the colors are vibrant on both. We also bought the recliners to go with each set. My husband is tall, 6'2" and the back of this recliner allows him to recline very comfortably. If you are considering outdoor furniture, this furniture is excellent in the north and south.

It's amazing that all of this furniture came in the size box that it did...which means some assembly is most DEFINITELY required. Luckily my husband is handy and owns a nice selection of power tools. It did take the two of us to put it together...it's easier to put the bolts/screws/washers/etc in when someone else is holding the pieces together. The furniture is very sturdy and comfortable. I love the dark blue color! I love the pattern on the throw pillows! I love the shape of the seatbacks! My husband is over 6 ft tall and he is comfortable sitting on it. I feel it was a very good value for the money. We did invest in canvas furniture covers to protect our investment.
