Very versatile, functional and fits in a small space!

Unbelievably terrible.

This thing is, without a doubt, the cheapest and most horribly made item I have ever purchased/put together. The cam locks literally cracked in half and the wood split from a DOWEL… a DOWEL! Please do not buy this. After hours of messing with it, I am beside myself. This is going back. IMMEDIATELY.

Very happy with purchase. At the sale price, plus using a percent off total purchase coupon, I was willing to take a chance on an on line order (none available in my local store). It is quite substantial; only weak point "may" be the wheels. They don't appear to be substantial, but may be fine, only time will tell. Incredible amount of storage, and I added additional storage by adding 2 more rows of very inexpensive 7 hook strips below two of shelves on the right side of the organizer. I secured them using twist ties through the holes on the black grills on the shelves. I used the top shelf on the right for THIN ribbon on spools and pulled the end of each spool through a hole in the grill. Works GREAT. I used the second shelf for spools of thicker ribbon, so can't use the holes in the grill to pull ends through like I did with the thinner ribbons. The lazy-susan door has good sized half round shelves and will take large bottles of adhesives, paint, etc. I might add, it would be very easy to drill a hole and glue in a dowel(s) to store ribbon vertically on any of the shelves or on the top ! I also put addition hooks (self stick) on the sides of the top two bins on the front of the organizer, giving even more storage ! My last tip is to add a small, inexpensive, towel bar to the flat side to serve as a handle when pushing for pulling the cart. Putting this together is NOT for the novice DIY person ! I did put it together without help, but it would be much quicker and easier to have someone to at least hold the pieces in place as they are secured. Whatever your experience, if you take the time to READ the ENTIRE instruction booklet before you start, you will not be sorry ! Lay out each part and look closely to determine if you are working on the the correct side ! Make sure the finished edges are in the correct place. Go slow and I think it is doable for most anyone. Particle board furniture will NOT tolerate over tightening of screws or cams, so follow directions to NOT OVER TIGHTEN. Assembly took some time since I did it without help, so I intentionally took two days, working nearly 2 hours the first day because I laid out each part, including hardware, read all steps in the directions first, and then did about half the steps. The next day, I completed the rest of the steps in approximately an hour. I LOVE the finished product, and especially like the inexpensive "extras" I added to make it even more useful !

I am completely over the moon with this cart! I am an extreme crafter and this cart lets me have so many things "at hand". Having casters you can just spin it around and have whatever you need or move it to another location with such ease. Great design and very sturdy!

Excellent organizer for my paints and brushes

This organizer moves well. It has locks to prevent movement when needed. It holds a lot of painting supplies.

Nicely designed storage unit for tight spaces

This unit requires assembly, but the instructions are excellent and everything fit together perfectly. It holds an amazing amount of supplies & is excellent for small studio spaces.

Cool cart, but exhausting assembly and weak particle board

After my almost 5 year old son told me "when I grow up, I want to be an artist," I was so excited to find this cart in which to keep his supplies organized in his room. When it arrived, he was eager to help me put it together. Two hours into the process (with screws for different parts that were nearly identical and easily confused), it was clear that the quality was not as good as I had hoped. Dowels inexplicably busted through the thinner particle board pieces, and in the end it took us three hours to finally get it all together. If I hadn't invested the time, and were not unwilling to spend so much to ship it back for a refund, I would return it. We'll cover the holes with bumper stickers.

So disappointed in the quality

I'm usually very happy with the things I get from Blick. I was really looking forward to getting this piece but boy was I disappointed! The corrugated wood was so soft it chipped off the corners as I tried to put it together. Screws would not hasten completely and one of the dowels actually punctured through the side when it was put together. Took 3 hours to put together and too big of a pain to take apart to return. Probably use it in the garage instead of in the house as planned.

This unit took the place of several smaller art boxes and bins, holds an amazing amount of stuff. It's perfect because I work in mixed media, so I have several kinds of acrylics, watercolors, dry pigemnts, gel media, chemicals, solvents, and... and... it all stores here very nicely in a very compact unit. One word of warning, it does come flat-packed. Follow the directions and the unit assembles smoothly in a couple of hours.

I have not bought this yet, but I wish I knew the total height and width for space considerations in my studio. Can't figure it out from all of the individual compartment dimensions in your description.
