Waste of Money

Product purchased earlier in the sori g to provide afternoon shade to west facing g plants during the summer. Both cords already frayed. After further investigation, it makes a huge difference if these patio umbrellas have the support pin under the umbrella supports to take the strain off the cords. I will not be purchasing again. I have other umbrellas, some as long as 3 years that have never had this issue. The only difference is the support pin. Expensive lesson learned.

Don’t buy these pool/patio umbrellas from Sun-Ray

First of all, I bought two umbrellas for my pool and I did get one of them shipped very quickly to me. However, Walmart uses a third-party and this is a third-party company that refuses to resolve the issue that I had. I ordered two umbrellas instead I got one that was damaged without a pole and the fabric had a big cut in it.

[Rewarded Review] Great Umbrella

We got this umbrella to help block the afternoon sun from our kitchen window while we eat. The rectangular shape and size is perfect to block the sun and allow us to leave the blinds open at meal time. The umbrella appears to be made of quality material and the craftsmanship seems to be very good. We look forward to many years of use from this umbrella and would definitely recommend it to anyone needing to add an umbrella to their deck or patio

This is a large umbrella! I love the size and the height, it’s easy to use, has a strap to keep it together while it’s closed, and tilts. I really like the color and plan to use it a lot. The post is two pieces so it stores easily and is light weight.

[Rewarded Review] Wonderful Rectangle Umbrella for large table coverage

Awesome rectangular umbrella that completely covers my 6 seat patio table. I really love the full coverage on hot sunny days. It also helps to keep most of the leaves and other things falling from the sky off of my table. It's really light for the size and super easy to install. It folds down like a standard umbrella for storage or to hideaway on windy days.

I really like how this umbrella looks on with my patio table. I initially settle on this umbrella because the color matched my cushions perfectly. I really like the rectangular shape because it is almost exactly the size of my table which looks great together. The thing that you need to consider is that the umbrella has less coverage on the shorter sides. Pay attention to your sun angle and you should be fine.

I got this 6.6 ft. x 9.8 ft. large patio umbrella for multi-purposes. It is a beautiful deep hunter green that goes great with the cushions in my chat chairs, and the chairs can be spaced out and still get shade with the large size of this umbrella. It will also be easy to tilt (just push the button) the umbrella to shade my peppers in the afternoon summer sun here in the South and also shade my patio doors from the late afternoon sun to keep my house cooler. This is a large umbrella and requires at least a 40 pound base and I luckily have a 55 pound base. It is meant for residential and not commercial use. I do put it down when I'm not using it and even take the umbrella off of the base and shelter it when high winds or storms are in the area.

[Rewarded Review] No stand, no problem....

Heavy, 11lbs, umbrella. I did not know that it didn't come with a stand. I set it in a cement block with a towel for sturdiness and played around with it. It's huge! The crank is easy moving up and down. The tilt got me for a few seconds. It seems like a finger pincher if not careful and it's high up. I can understand wanting to tilt and turn to shade from the setting sun, but I'm a little reluctant to use that feature because the way it tilts. It seems to me, that if you had this on a table, it would be VERY hard to tilt because you need to push in a button and hold the top when lowering and raising. Feels like a back breaker unless you're tall.

[Rewarded Review] Never had a rectangular umbrella

We have a couple umbrellas around our patios for extra shade. The 6.6 ft. x 9.8 ft. Rectangular Steel Market Umbrella in Taupe was an interesting addition to our collection. This is our first rectangular umbrella and it actually works quite well. Stands about seven feet high. There is a 45 degree joint which allows the umbrella to be at an angle. Raise and lower the umbrella with the built in winch and rope setup. This isn't the best of material for the shade as we have had similar material not last more than a year but it's hot or miss. As long as it's kept clean and out of the rain, it should last a good while.

This is a 6 foot patio umbrella. It is grey in color, and made of lightweight material. It has velcro ties to secure in down position. It is opened by turning the crank handle clockwise. Be sure to have adequate room before opening. It opens to a full 6 foot 6 inches by 9 foot 8 inches rectangular area, much larger than normal umbrellas. It also features a tilt adjustment to block late day sunlight.

This is a big umbrella at almost 10 feet wide fully opened, potentially too large for some deck layouts. The rectangular shape is perfect for longer tables. Construction appears adequate for residential usage in moderate winds, it does fine with 15-20 mph gusts, but you will want a base that can lock it from spinning in its holder. The umbrella detaches easily from the included pole via standard push lock mechanism for easy storage. Crank and tilt action is smooth and sturdy. Will definitely throw some shade on our gatherings when needed.

The umbrella comes in a long box and is protected from moisture by a plastic bag. The pole comes in two pieces, and the end simply clips onto the main pole below the crank handle. It can also easily be taken apart without any tools.

Very nice umbrella, quality is standard compared to other umbrellas. It is light, which is good easy to maneuver for my wife. The canopy opens to a perfect rectangle easily with the crank and fits into an umbrella hole. We have melted in our Patio concrete. Gives great shade and will be awesome for the summertime as soon as our pool heats up enough to get in lol

Good Purchase -Looks Great

Delivery came in expected timeframe. Umbrella looks & feels better than what I anticipated. Powder coating finish on the tubing is far superior to our last umbrella. The expand/retract crank works fine as does the tilt hinge. Navy blue isn't too deep which I’m happy about, was surprised my wife chose that color. I asked” Why Navy, that doesn’t go with anything we have on the patio”. She responded, “you mean other than the area rug & the throw pillows?” Lesson to be learned in there I'm sure
