Total blackout, noise block, no chemical odor

Got denim blue (photo looks dark but it is actually the exact color of the carpet shown). Total blackout as described, and also shut out street noise. I used a sewing machine to shorten mine. It was heavier than the room-darkening curtains but not too heavy. No noticeable odor and chemical residue feel that many blackout curtains do. Very happy.

A must buy…

These blackout curtains were perfect for my large windows! They keep out ALL light maintaining their blackout status. I bought these same curtains from another retailer for almost double the price!! I instantly returned them when I found the same ones at Walmart for less. I have noticed during the summer months that these curtains help keep my upstairs bedrooms cooler. Highly recommend!

Very nice curtain panel

Ordered these in the Mushroom color, size 52" x 84". Color is a medium darkish taupe (exactly what I wanted). The material is incredibly soft and seems of good quality. They are advertised as 100% blackout but they do let a slight amount of light through in direct very bright sunlight which is perfectly acceptable to me.

Nice quality. Shiny, thick material. I was confused that each package only contained 1 panel, insufficient to cover a single window if you want it to be truly blackout. Most curtain packages contain 2 panels.

These block out curtains do the job beautifully. There are two "sheeths" for rods at the top, a narrower one at the very top, and then a wider one for a once inch diameter rod. I have a thin rod but I used the lower, wider sheeth because that creates an attractive little ruffle at the top which covers the last little gap up to the the window frame. I also like the look of the material; it has a bit of a sheen, a sort of "satin" finish. During the day I tie each panel up with a blue satin ribbon.

Does the Job

Pleasant color and it does its job! When the curtains are shut, the room is totally blacked out! One thing to note even though it’s in the product description is that it’s only ONE panel, not a set. Learned that the hard way by not reading enough.

They work!

I went through 2 other types of "blackout" curtains that did not block the light. I am thrilled I found these. I have a giant spotlight outside my window and these are great at blocking it. I can finally sleep! They also block sunlight during the day. And they're very attractive.

These Zero Blackout Curtains are amazing. I put them over my French doors. Thr picture shows how beautifully they match the new paint. I get so much sunlight from the backyard now, lost 2 trees in a storm, I desperately needed something to protect my hardwood floors. They are original to home. My grandparents ❤️ They keep the sun out and living room cooler. Even helped with the electric bill! These are definite buy!

see through and very hot

I really wanted to like these, but the price point just doesn't justify how the sun comes through these curtains and how hot my room gets every morning. I had to set my thermostat to 65 degrees at 5am to compensate for the lack of thermal resistance as the sun would rise and wake me up before the birds. I've since had to install a second set of curtains behind these to block out the sun and reduce the heat. Nice color but they came with dents in the fabric that washing/drying won't get out.

Great, but not white!

I really do love these curtains but I am REALLY upset that they are not white! Instead they are "pearl white" which is a light bluish color. I thought that once I painted my walls a different color they would then appear whiter. WRONG! I will say they are a nice black out curtain. Holding out both heat & light. The back side is black which is fine with me because I have thick sheers behind them but it might make a difference to others. Stylish.

99% Blackout, More colors please

I have several pairs of these panels in different colors and lengths to rotate year round. The grommet holes are a touch too wide for my curtain rods, that is where light comes in. It kept my room 3-4 degrees cooler over the summer in my hottest room and keep light out for sleeping in complete darkness. There is a slight sheen in the fabric and need ironing but if you dry them 75% through and hang them up they won't wrinkle. The fabric is substantial and good quality for polyester fabric. I've washed them and dried on law a dozen of times now. They are practical but wouldn't say they are luxe looking like those more $$$.

Nice drapes

Bought these drapes in terracotta color for family room. About 4 weeks ago. Needed drapes to keep the hot bright sun out. They work great. Used a steamer to get the wrinkles out from packaging. Had also bought a pair in the wine color last year for the master bedroom. Get the morning sun in the bedroom. I am very pleased with these darkening drapes.

Disappointed

I have purchased other curtains from the Sun Zero Oslo Theater collection. The teal color, 50x95, does not meet the level 4 blackout status. I specifically purchased them for the blackout capability. These seems to be more level 3 blockage. Light still comes through the panels. I would not recommend this color if you also want the level blackout effect.

Truly Great Blackout Drapes

I am very happy with my new Sun Zero Oslo blackout drapes! I have a south facing patio door that has intense sun coming in all day long. I live in New Mexico, so the suns rays are very intense and you can literally feel the heat pouring in. I previously had vertical blinds on the door but was not happy with them. I purchased four panels of grommet drapes and they are wonderful! I really wanted something that was a total blackout and these fit the bill! The back material on the drape is black and totally blocks the sun! The drape is not heavy and it is so easy to slide them open and shut with the grommets. I ironed them before hanging and they look so nice! I ordered the taupe color and am very pleased with the look in my living room.

Drapes were perfect for what I needed!

I love that these drapes are a high quality and are thick enough to hang perfectly for where I needed them. They look great in my grandson's room that I am redecorating. I did order a white liner to put behind them so that the black wouldn't show from the outside but that was no big deal. There is a lot of sun that comes through the windows in the afternoons and these are perfect to cut down on the heat and I am sure the cold air during the winter months. I highly recommend these drapes!

Blackout Curtains Keep Sun Out in Summer

Blackout Theater Grade curtains are aptly named--no light comes in. They are great for our window that faces west and gets hot summer sun that we don't need, since the converted attic room gets too hot without blackout curtains. We chose a lovely teal that matched a reading chair/recliner, and they are smooth and luxurious feeling.
