[Rewarded Review] good product
this was a project started with 4 ft deep footings a simple base plan would work better if sunjoy would provide center dimensions of peers as a footing plan.Other than that study and follow instructions it does go together i am inpressed with all holes and hardware lining up.
I am very disappointed in my gazebo. It is NOT stable and it shakes if you touch the corner support poles or anywhere on the gazebo I expected better and it is not the quality I wanted. It has been put up and there is no way to return it or I would. Very poor quality. The holders for the curtains are junk and I have to buy better quality holders.
This steel gazebo is very sturdy and easy to construct, the introductions were fairly easy to follow. My wife loves the idea of the mosquito netting along with the solid curtains. They protect from not only bugs but also wind or low-angle sun. They are heavy duty and a nice color to match-up with our house. Great choice!
Easy picture instructions to follow. All metal with mosquito netting on rail. Second set of rails can be used to install solid curtain to keep out direct summer sun rays. Most of it was installed by one person. Only connecting all four legs together did two of us work together.
Very well engineered, quite straight forward to assemble. Took me about 12hrs. I did the majority of it myself then needed my wife on a couple of occasions to hold the uprights while I screwed the frame together. I'm quite optimistic that it will strand the weight of snow and winds although I did anchor it down into the bricks.
It took four of us about three hours to assemble. The directions were very easy to follow. All the parts were there. I erected it last fall and it has withstood a couple of storms with supposed wind gusts of + 50mph. Also about 7 inches of snow. No problems. No leaks. It is on a wood deck and held down with deck screws. I think it will last a long while.
If you need some safe space to socially distance
Pros:Price: Was $200-300 cheaper than same option available at Wayfair/Home Depot, etc. Also, for this 10x12' dimension with hard top, this is the best price.Style: Looks great! Good powder coating. Extra roof both looks awesome and clearly has better wind resistance (Had a 40 mph storm a few days ago and the gazebo hardly moved/swayed)Assembly: Did 90% by myself. Used help at the end for roof so that one pair of hands can hold it in place to do a quick fit. Took about 3 days (~ 5 hrs/day).Sturdiness: Once all pillars and support beams were installed, the gazebo was very sturdy (though light in weight).Parts: All parts were there. First thing I did on delivery day is verify presence of all parts - Highly recommend it so that you don't have to hassle the return. Came with extra screws, bolts, washers, etc. that were handy when you lose some in the garden.Instructions: Easy to follow. There was one mistake (side beams with had the connectors facing the wrong way in diagram. But it was easy to catch the mistake once you go to the next step. Took an additional half hour to disassemble and re-assemble that section.Recommendation: Have a bed sheet or exercise mat in your concrete/pavers - put material on top of it to work so that you don't scratch it. Have a light ladder, power driver, and a 10 mm wrench for faster assembly, Do not tighten all screws for each step right away - Some need to have other parts included in the next step or two (example: adding additional support beams to the side and between primary beams). So once you fit all the different sections with some slack enabling you to have the right fit, then tighten the screws. Move your gazebo pillar location to your preferred spot, before you start installing the roof structure (1/3rd into the process of assembly). Install roof with gloves or on a cool day as it easily gets hot to handleCons:Material: Powder coating can easily get scratched if put on floor - use a sheet / exercise mat.Assembly: Pet peeve, the pillar enclosures are not tightened but loosely hang to the pillar. Minor improvement needed for better feel. Insect net can have additional instructions to identify which section goes to the long/short side (took an additional 15 min as I installed it wrong at the first instance)
This is a great gazebo. I have received many compliments from my neighbors. The boxes it came in were big and heavy so I was a bit intimidated. However, the thing went together in a long afternoon with a couple of buddies without a problem. The only addition I needed to make was finding some hardware to secure the feet to my patio.
