Great mechanical toy.
A cool skill tester.
Functional and fun, but configuration changes make little difference
This toys control lever mechanism works surprisingly well allowing you to control the pivot pretty well. All of the maze sections are interchangeable as the description states, however, the configurations make little difference to the experience. I would have loved to see some plastic figures instead of the cardboard decorations to make it more in line with some of the other epoch Mario toys. As it is, it failed to hold my son's attention for too terribly long, which would be ok if it were at a lower pricepoint.
[Rewarded Review] Fun game!
My kids love mazes so they were very excited to play this game. It took me around 15 minutes to put this together using the instructions that came with it. The kids loved the stickers that came with this and had a great time sticking them on the game base. The game is simple to play, you have to use the joystick to tilt the base around and move the ball. The game base is very detailed and seems sturdy.
[Rewarded Review] Really fun!
This maze game is really fun and so different than a typical toy which keeps the kids interested in it and makes it a great gift. It comes in a box that can be used for storage which is great. The only thing to keep in mind is that the marbles are very small so this cannot be used around babies.
[Rewarded Review] So fun!!!
I bought this game for my 6 year olds birthday party along with a few others. This super Mario maze was played all day. The game is fun and isn’t too easy. The coloring etc is great. It definitely kept a bunch of kiddos busy for hours. We love it.
[Rewarded Review] Super fun
Super Mario is so much fun. The grandson loves to spend the day with his Grandpa playing Super Mario . It's a great game to play together as a family. We love it. He has a blast with it. We love it laughter is great
[Rewarded Review] A great challenge
This has been such a fun challenge for all three of my kids (4, 7, 11). I also feel that it teaches some great hand eye coordination and movement too. In the beginning my four year old especially had a hard time not moving it quickly and roughly from one size to another, but he quickly learned to manage it better.
[Rewarded Review] Great!
This maze game is super entertaining. My kiddos enjoy soo much playing with this. It's super fun even for as an adult! It takes patience and to get to where you need to but it causes soo much laughter! I totally recommend this toy.
[Rewarded Review] Cool idea
So would I choose this for kids? No. The amount of time it takes to build this maze is ridiculous. My 7 year old brought this to me one night to build with him and I was like sure, 2 hours later we are finally ready to test and it still didn't work. Probably my fault but still. Let's push easier assembly for kids and their poor parents lol
[Rewarded Review] Super Mario + Mazes = Family Fun!
I am amazed how the Super Mario franchise continually reinvents itself to appeal to kids of the current generation. Just like his father, my grandson loves anything connected to the Super Mario characters. Add in the challenge of mazes, and the Super Mario Maze Game DX becomes a new family favorite! The main downside to the game is once the grandkids played the limited number of maze challenges in the game, they started to become bored with it. My solution: put it away for a while and bring it out on a rainy day! They always enjoy going back to a kid-friendly activity with their old friend, Mario.
[Rewarded Review] Challenging!
When I opened the box, I admit I was overwhelmed by the thought of putting this maze together but it wasn't as bad as I thought. Yes, there are lots of pieces and stickers, but I was able to figure it out with the help of the instructions and the picture on the box. After it was together, we had lots of fun trying to get the little balls through the maze...it really is challenging! The maze is colorful and well-made. I do wish that it came in a bigger box because once together, it's really hard to fit back in the box for storage, even disconnecting the big pieces. It's a good game for kids that like a challenge.
[Rewarded Review] Interesting game
I thought this game would be fun and challenging to play. It was very difficult trying to assemble. The instructions did not make a lot of sense and were very hard to understand, even my daughter had a hard time trying to put this Super Mario Maze game together, we even watched the video on YouTube. Once it was together is difficult for younger kids to play, my 7 year old granddaughter had a hard time attempting to move the ball thru the different mazes. The 10 year old grandson thought it was okay though challenging, it isn't a game either of them choses to play when deciding which game they like at my house. It is colorful but hard to hold and maneuver the ball at the same time. I tried to like this game but it is not a favorite of mine.
[Rewarded Review] Cool maze concept!
I got this for my 11 year old son. I'd say he's a little old for this toy. Probably best for the 7-10 range. If your kids like mazes they'll enjoy this game. There is a metal marble that you use a joystick that tilts the whole maze to run the marble through the maze. Very cool idea. Both my boys enjoyed this game!
[Rewarded Review] Great entertainment
This game is super fun. My kiddos love to race and see who can make it through the maze the fastest. It would be nice if you could switch up the maze a little so it challenges them and is not the same maze. They kinda master the maze already. But it is a very fun game to watch them concentrate and master.
[Rewarded Review] Great
The kids absolutely love this toys :) plus who doesn't like Super Mario. Plus this will keep the kids and myself occupied. So many ways to try and master this maze toy lol. Like the box says 120,000 ways to finish the maze. That is crazy but also will keep you busy if you are into things like this.
[Rewarded Review] Fun…but….
My son was excited to try this game out.it was fairly easy to set up, and directions were clear. We battled a few rounds and then we played as a family with his siblings as well to get more input and interaction. The little balls, are easy to lose! They’re so tiny and in the midst of battle, kids tend to get overexcited and things fly. The top cardboard cutout had to be replaced numerous times during our battling. We have a competitive family and at times the frustration levels were high due to the maze battle. The game is fun, but it is a bit wobbly on the main controller. Overall, it is fun, but could use some improvements for the age levels.
[Rewarded Review] So confusing to put together
This was very confusing to put together. The directions were not very descriptive, so don’t throw away the box until it’s together. Once it was together it was super fun to play with my son. He had a blast trying to figure out how to get the ball to the top!
[Rewarded Review] Fun Quick Game
We love Mario and mazes so we were pretty excited to try this game. Putting it together was a little tricky since there are a lot of stickers and pieces that look similar but overall not too hard. Once put together the concept of the game is pretty easy. Just use the handle to move your ball through the maze to collect the flags and then work your way to the top to rescue Peach from Bowser. The handle is really easy to use to use to maneuver your ball and the maze itself is pretty easy while still having some challenging parts. The only slight downsides to this game is that some of the moving pieces throughout the game get stuck at times. Along with that when you have your ball in the back of the maze it gets very hard to see what you are doing without having to try to turn the game or stand up. The game overall is pretty fun and the flaws are pretty small and don't affect the game too much.
[Rewarded Review] Hard to play
This game is very hard to play. The way it is played with the joystick makes it hard to keep the map level, and if the marble goes on the far side maze it's almost impossible to see. It took me 15-20 minutes to put it together with all the stickers. Then about 10 minutes to give up playing it.
[Rewarded Review] Great!
This game is super fun! All my little nieces and nephews love it! We have played over and over again. I would definitely recommend these games! Super fun that mario bros are still such a big thing after all these years!
