Still no resolution

I could not be more disappointed. I never got my blinket then I called QVC sent it out. But it came in charcoal not blue and for a twin not a queen. I got sent out a comferter after the second complaint still waiting. Very unhappy. And my order is still waiting for resolution. Haven't heard from QVC.

LOVE THE BLANKET! The old one was too old!

I decided to get me a plum blanket for my bed. The old one I got was too old and shrunken and not as good! But the newer one is great and I am so happy and my 2 cats LOVE the new blanket! I hope I can get one for either Christmas or my birthday (in January).

Very thin and not soft

Another reviewer said this is more a bedspread than a blanket. I didn't know what they meant, but now I do. It's got a hard finish and is very thin. I wouldn't have bought it if I'd seen and felt it in person. Also, in the California king size, it isn't wide enough to tuck under the sides of our 16" mattress. I don't recommend this product.

I am very pleased with my new cotton blanket. It is true to size, I have a California King mattress & it fits perfectly. It is very comfortable & keeps us cool in the summer heat. Delivery was prompt & the blanket was packaged very nicely.

Not a "Superior" blanket

I bought this blanket after another Macy's blanket I'd ordered had to be sent back due to threads pulling within the first day of use. Unfortunately, this replacement blanket is not what I consider a "Superior" blanket. The weave looks reasonably tight, but the fibers and tight weave are stiff and uncomfortable. I sent it back.

the size is correct I guess? The width is wrong but the length is perfect. If you try to change for the length to be the width and width for length it doesn't work. I threw away the packaging so now I am stuck with it. don't waste your money on this one. I like the color and it is lightweight, yet still unusable.

I have been using these blankets for 8-10 years now. I'm still using the original ones I bought, but decided to buy a few more, just in case they quit making them. Several big advantages. They're cotton, gotta have breathable cotton. Also, I have two kitties with claws. These blankets do not snag easily. It's a great flat, tight, weave. They wash and dry very well too! I will continue to buy and use these as long as they make them.

chevron blanket

I bought this King Size blanket on sale. when I washed the blanket a lot of cotton lint was in the dryer. The blanket fits perfect on my King Size Bed and is just right. Not to heavy and not to light weight. It’s pretty. I am happy I purchased this item.

Short & Narrow; great quality woven cotton fabric

Although I paid for a double/queen blanket, I was apparently shipped a twin size because this blanket is too narrow and too short for the queen bed where it was intended to be used. Or perhaps, over the past 3 blankets like this one that I've purchased, the manufacturer is gradually cutting corners on a size that would be okay for a double bed but doesn't work for my queen-size bed.

VERY BAD SHIPPING/WRAPPING by SHIPPER

The Seller of this BLANKET shipped it in a VERY TIGHT PLASTIC TYPE WRAPPING. As of recent, I have ordered many, many items. This package did not have a [ sticker ] on it to indicated [ CAUTION - BLANKET ENCOLSED ]. When I used a [ BOX CUTTER ] to [ GENTLY ] open the package, the [ BLADE ] of the [ BOX CUTTER ] [ CUT ] the [ THREADS ] of the [ BLANKET ]. NOTE: I could not use a pair of [ SCISSORS ] because of the TIGHT WRAPPING in which the BLANKET was wrapped.

Horrible blanket

Ordered this blanket thinking it would be a very soft cotton blanket for use during the warmer months. When I unwrapped it the smell was overpowering and the blanket was very rough. I washed it with fabric softener hoping that would help. The smell is gone but the blanket is horribly rough. Not at all soft...not in the least. Since I'm stuck with it, I'm hoping repeated washings will help but it's got a long way to go. Don't waste your money on this blanket!

This cotton throw is great for layering with a comforter on a bed or just all on it's own. I find I can use it in summer months (I live on the west coast) without getting too warm due to it's breathability. I've had my green throw for over 2 years and the fabric is showing no stretching, piling, color fading or loose threads. I love that I can just throw it in the washing machine to clean. Very good quality.

Blanket good for all seasons; well-made!

I love this blanket and I use it in my guest bedroom. It’s well made, and it’s cotton. Easy to wash & dry. Also it is generously proportioned. Even after washing it big enough to tuck in on the bottom, and hangs down both sides evenly. I would definitely recommend this blanket!

I wanted the ivory colored blanket. On line, it shows the ivory blanket as a purple one and the purple blanket as an ivory one. Very confusing. I took a chance and ordered the one that said "ivory" but showed a picture of a purple blanket. I got lucky and received the ivory one. It's lovely. I washed it and it came out perfect. Didn't shrink. Didn't shed very much. I'm very pleased with the blanket, but you need to have the word "purple" with the purple blanket, and the word "ivory" with the ivory one.

Cotton Comfort; perfect weight

Perfect so far! It has been machine washed and dried no shrinkage that I can tell. Also fits my bed with room to tuck. It's warm and tight-woven without being hot or heavy. My husband is always too hot, but he didn't even notice. He was comfortable all night: no kicking off covers or complaining. I definitely recommend this!

Disappointing

When it arrived I was pleased with the color, weight and feel of this blanket. It is pleasant to sleep under too. But after only a few months it is full of snags and pulled threads. We do not have pets that could have jumped up and done damage and I have no idea what is causing this damage. Other reviews have mentioned the same snagging problems. Disappointing!

Great blanket, but too warm for summer

This is a great blanket but it is so well made, it’s actually not great for the summer! It’s more of a winter blanket, IMO. Not the softest blanket, but I only washed it once and it was mid-spring so too warm to use it again. I actually prefer summer blankets with that weave that’s a bit “holey,” so it’s not too warm. This blankets weave is tight, but the blanket isn’t stiff. Very good quality and it’s cotton, which I love. It has a pattern on it that’s a bit raised (and feels a bit weird against my skin), so it would probably make a better bedspread than a blanket, per se—or maybe a combo of the 2, using a flat sheet in between. I think it needs something until you’ve washed it at least 10x

OK, I have a rental place and had to furnish it top to bottom. It's been fun ordering all kind of needed items. When it came to the bedding item I was able to get everything on sale at Overstock. I earn $ rewards for my purchases and $ for my reviews being a Club O' member. Club O' is so worth joining. Anyway, these blankets are light weight, but perfect for all seasons as an extra layer. Love the texture and the fact that they are 100% cotton! I would highly recommend the Metro Blanket and plan on ordering some for my home. If your thinking about these blankets, or have them in your cart just do it. You won't be sorry.

Quality 100% Cotton Blanket

Very happy with the blanket. It is lightweight enough for the summer under air conditioning (which was it's intended use) and could be used in the winter under your comforter for warmth as well. The blanket did have a chemical smell when first opened. I washed it and dried it with dryer sheets and added a cotton ball with lavender essential oil. Problem solved! There was also quite a bit of lint with the first wash in the dryer lint trap but that wasn't a concern for me. The blanket itself came in great condition and was relatively soft. No snags or runs noted and I loved the herringbone design! Would buy this blanket again for use in guest bedroom.
