Not heavy, comfortable

Gooose down comforter fits nicely. Very warm and comfortable. Not too heavy to lye under. Feathers do not pentrate the cover. Would recommend.

An EXCELLENT set for the quality!

I really, really love this duvet cover set. I purchased the green one, and the colors are slightly more rich than they are in the photo---meaning it looks slightly more sage green than the greenish-gray in the photo, depending on the lighting. It looks beautiful. The design is simple, but looks great with so many different styles. There was some slight off-gassing, but I let the items air for an hour or two and put them straight into the washing machine with gentle soap. The duvet and pillowcases have been both silky and soft since that first wash, and I love them. There are no ties to keep the duvet in place, so please be aware of that if it bothers you. I toss and turn, but it does not bother me at all; my duvet and this material seem quite compatible with one another and work well together. This keeps me warm, but does a fine job of staying cool, which you might not expect when you first feel the fabric. In my next round of nesting, I've already added another set to my list of things to buy.

3 star duvet

Upon receiving this duvet set in Taupe, I immediately laundered it per the instructions as I do with all linens. It washed well-- the color was still bright and the material was very soft. After a couple more washes in the following weeks, however, the duvet cover began to fade noticeably, while the pillow shams did not. The fading and color difference became so noticeable that I began to keep the shams hidden behind the other bed pillows, as it looked like a mismatched bed set. This may only be an issue with the taupe, but if you are like me and wash your bedding very often then you may want to reconsider.

I purchased the sheets , they were a little crunchy , but the duvet cover is super soft and silky feeling! I love a black and white stripe as I feel It looks very luxourius , and can match with any color scheme . This washes well and fits nicely. The material stays cool and it feels soft against my skin . I feel like a queen sleeping under this. I did not notice any wrinkling , and the color did not fade. It comes with matching pillow shams, which is a nice touch . I matched it with blue solid sheets. Looks like a million bucks .

Looks great but.......

I so wanted this duvet to be perfect. It looked nice and snappy out of the bag, the white was bright the black solid. Then as I touched it I began to see what one review meant when she said "the black stripes felt plastic like", or a bit rough. The stripe is screen printed on and you can tell the difference in texture to the fabric. I had my daughter lay on it to see if she would want to lounge on that while in her room. She said no, texture was too weird. It looks great if you need comforters for a seldom used guest room, but if someone is going to be laying on and cuddling up in this duvet they may be quite disappointed. I am returning mine and still searching for the right fabric/ texture mix. I had another duvet to compare this to from PBteen, where the stripes were woven into the fabric as opposed to being printed on the fabric. The Superior duvet had the look I wanted but not the feel, the PBTeen had the feel but not the look.

NOT SOFT AT ALL

If you are looking for a silky soft duvet cover set, 600 thread count is a good start....IF "Egyptian Cotton" follows in the title. I love this brand but I usually purchase the "Superior Egyptian Cotton 650 Threat Count" pillowcases and duvet set. I was in a hurry when I made this purchase and overlooked the title. When the set arrived, I immediately washed the set. As I was putting it on the guest bed, I realized everything felt like cardboard. They also looked cheap, which is strange because the 650 Egyptian Cotton set neither feels rough nor looks cheap. I would recommend the brand but not the material of this set. Truthfully, I tossed the set in the trash once I realized I purchased the wrong set.

Perfect FIt

Bought this in light blue as my first duvet and was nervous that the light blue wouldn't match my sheets and would come apart as other have stated- totally untrue! Duvet has survived it's first washing, matches my sheets, and fits the comforter I bought with it, fantastic value and, after looking around for 3-4 hours before purchase, unbeatable price! I initially thought this was too good to be true based on the price and other reviewers negative comments, but found out otherwise from my experience.

As stated, goes great with my comforter and keeps me nice and toasty- in NJ it gets around 20 degrees at night. I had actually forgotten that this was a blend of polyester and cotton, and was nervous upon seeing it, but it really doesn't effect anything; the duvet feels like cotton and is extremely comfortable to sleep with. I'm not sure why this duvet had negative reviews, my only guess is that the other people had no clue what they were doing when taking care of it.

Extremely wrinkly and pilled

I must say I was very disappointed with the quality of this duvet. Before I go into what I did not like about the duvet, I will say the color and size was exactly what I had expected so I was happy with that. They are relatively soft, however, I have since bought a 400 thread count duvet at Bed Bath & Beyond that is far softer. After the first wash I was shocked about how wrinkly the duvet was. I normally am not one to iron my sheets/duvet but it looked absolutely horrible. Even with ironing and trying multiple different methods to reduce the wrinkles there never seemed to be any improvement. After only a couple of washes, I noticed the duvet started to pill. Within a couple months it looked like a wrinkly old duvet that should have been thrown out years ago. I wouldn't recommend that someone buy this for every day use. If you don't expect it to be used much and you don't mind ironing the duvet this would probably work ok for you.

Sent it back

I was so excited about this queen duvet cover in black, but was so disappointed I sent it back. The thread count on the white fabric is very good. However, the colored stripes are basically painted on--they are stiff and plastic-like stripes of paint. I might not care for a curtain, but a duvet needs to be touch-able. This one felt stiff and funky. The pillow cases in particular--I wouldn't want to lay my head on a stripe of basically latex paint. If you only want it for the look, and largely from a distance, it would be fine. You can actually see in the photo, if you look at the black pillowcase, that it's shiny. That's because it's just a thick strip of paint, not actually colored fabric.
