Lightweight and Cheap Fabric

Nice navy color but not a fan of the fabric. Fabric is a loose weave (likely to snag easily) and very light weight. I would not describe it as "Matelasse". Will Keep them as I have company arriving soon.

It's a little lighter weight than I expected so it looks a little cheap. It's definitely bedspread size, not coverlet size so expect it to drag the floor a bit, which I personally like. Just be aware that it is a little thin, which is nice for warmer climates but also does look a little cheap

I needed a light bedspread for the hot summer months in Arizona. The Jacguard bedspread is just that. I washed it before placing on the king size bed. It did shrink some, even though I washed it in cold water and low dryer drying. It still fits the mattress quite well, but not 120x120 as advertised. It is certainly worth the low price of this bedspread. I bought a black king size and the bedspread looks very elegant. It is very soft and comfortable. Love the quality and would recommend a purchase for anyone.

Things are not always as they seem nor as describ.

SHRINKS LIKE A SHRINKY-DINK !

WOW ! Did this shrink ! Like a shrinky-dink ! Do you remember those ? Washed and dried as directed and what was WAY TOO BIG to begin with is now REALLY JUST A TAD TOO SMALL. So I put the short side on the back where I won't see it. It's just not worth the trouble to return it. Otherwise I like the fabric and the color, just wish it were about 3 inches longer. Perhaps I should have bought a queen to shrink down to a full size.

Incorrect information in description

Dimensions stated in description are incorrect: width is 104", length is 114". Specific washing instructions not given in description ("machine washable"). Tag says cold water, gentle cycle. Otherwise, looks good.

Very nice

Very pretty color (coral). This does snag but overall enjoying this bedspread. Someone did comment that the end corners are long and can easily be tripped over. I solved this problem by tucking the corners under the mattress so no longer a trip hazard.

Good value light weight bedspread

This bedspread is exactly as stated. A soft sage green, 120 x120" with two king matching bolster covers. A very non complicated matelasse pattern. I think you can only "loosely" call this matelasse, but for both the price and size it matters not. Turns out the cover I replaced is by the same manufacturer and if you have cats or dogs who sleep on the bed...be prepared for plenty of pulled threads. I had the previous cover a pretty long time and our cat mostly sleeps in one bottom corner which ended uo, over time, with lots if pulled threads. I admit I just snipped them flush and it looked sort of shabby but ok enough for me. Also, it will shrink so just don't dry it hot and take out a bit damp. It's not a shrinks to nothing. It still covers plenty well. We have a CA king on a waterbed frame that has drawers on a single level and after all that time, the other cover still came down to the middle of the drawers. I expect this one to pretty much be the same. Thus is not a super heavy bedspread. We live in California and it's perfect for most of the year. When winter comes, we just put a wool blanket under it and it's fine.

Good with some adjustments...

I think I'm going to enjoy this bedspread set. It is certainly thinner than I was expecting, but this is a win for my 'always roasting' husband. He tends to flip the bedcovers off himself and onto me in the night, so if it is a heavy comforter, then I wake up all sweaty after an hour or so of sleeping under a double layer. Now when he does it, it should be 'just right'. We have a King size that is 26 inches/ 66 cm tall, and the sides of the spread (regardless of orientation) do not reach the ground. I imagine that on a shorter frame/stardard heigh boxspring, this would not be a problem. It works for me because the 'shortness' keeps my robotic vaccum from getting stuck. Also, it ALMOST is the type of beadspread where you could dispense with the shames and tuck the pillows into a fold. As it is, it either puddles too much at the foot or I have to make a big fold at the top to keep it off the floor.

The Size is Perfect and UPDATED INFOMATION

The Jacquard Matelasse Solitaire Cotton Bedspread is perfect. I ordered the King size, washed and dried it before putting it on on the bed. It comes nearly to the floor and is long enough to tuck over and under the pillows. The shams are not needed as I don't put extra pillows on my bed. It is light weigh which is what I wanted. The seaming is well done. I ordered the bedspread in beige to lighten the room. I can use any color of drapes with this neutral color. I feel it is really a good investment. I am so happy I found this bedspread. It is replacing a chenille bedspread that my cats had "destroyed" by chewing on all the knots. The cats,as well as my husband and I, love the softness of the fabric of this new bedspread. I can even use it as a light blanket on nights when we don't really need a heavy blanket. UPDATE ON THIS BEDSPREAD! I have had this bedspread on my bed for over a week. I have never had a bedspread or blanket get so wrinkled as this bedspread! The very first night I folded it at the end of my bed and when I went to spread it up on the bed, it was very wrinkled! It came out of the dryer unwrinkled, so I was shocked to see how wrinkled it was after being on my bed one day. I had originally rated it a "5" stars but I changed it to a "3" after using it because the wrinkles don't come out. I do not want to iron it every day to get the wrinkles out.

High quality, will cover the deepest of matresses

I bought the white bedspread. It's a medium weight, high-quality fabric, so I think it will just perfect as a three-seasons blanket. It is beautifully made, the shams that come with it. Note that there are unique sizes for queen and full mattresses- even though I have a standard depth memory foam mattress, I have always been disappointed with the drape of full/queen spreads and coverlets. No such problem with the queen size- it is huge! The drape comes close to the floor on the sides and will easily hit the floor at the foot of the bed. Dust ruffle? I don't need no stinkin' dust ruffle! I think the overall value is excellent- I feel I got more than I paid for, and I'm thinking about getting another color to add some seasonal variety to look of the boudoir.

Nice Looking Matelasse Spread in a Diamond Pattern

I purchased the queen size black bedspread set at a good price. The black color is truly black and the soft fabric has a small diamond pattern, which is nice and gender neutral. The spread is a bit thin even for a matelasse bedspread. To me, it feels more like a cotton blanket than a bedspread. I actually have to rely on the fabric pattern of the spread to distinguish it from the black cotton blanket under it. Other matelasse spreads I own have a bit more stiffness to them even though they are also thin, and that stiffness helps to distinguish them from a blanket. During the summer, I was very comfortable sleeping with this spread over a sheet and cotton blanket in an air-conditioned house. During cold weather, this has been a good piece for layering with complementary and contrasting comforters. And it's 100% cotton, the only fabric I want for my bed linens. I recommend.

Firstly, I would like to thank Overstock's customer service for helping me with an issue I was having in relation to the purchase of this bedspread. I have subsequently bought this bedspread in coral as well as navy blue and I am really happy with them. They provides a wonderfully weighted feeling while being under the sheets. It is perfect for Spring, Summer, and paired with the right comforter, it will be great for fall and winter as well. The bedspreads go great with the coral and navy blue Marilyn Monroe™ Trellis Glam Rug I bought to go with them. They each come with 2 pillow cases and a long and wide bedspread that cover the sides of our bed real well. The Navy Blue and the Coral color are both really nice and I'm sure will compliment the rest of the rooms once I have fully decorated them. Happy with both bedspreads and Overstocks customer service.

Ordered king size for my queen bed with an 8 inch high bed frame, 8 1/2 inch box spring, 12 inch mattress and 1 inch mattress pad. Washed in cold water and dried on permanent press dryer setting. Took out of dryer immediately to minimize wrinkles. Nice and soft, nice subtle pattern. Length is perfect and covers my unsightly steel bed frame legs. The foot edges hit the floor so I pushed in under the bed. Pillow shams fit great on king size bed pillows. Very happy I switched to an old school bedspread to the floor. I ordered a white bedspread, crisp white.

Simple yet elegant

I received this lovely bedspread and could not be more pleased. The color is perfect and just as shown online. I am using it in my guest room with a queen size bed because I wanted the spread to reach the floor on three sides, plus I wanted to continue tp use the standard size pillow shams from my previous spread. They are a muted stripe with one stripe being the same color as my new spread. They look great along with the matching king shams to the spread. I topped the spread with a hand made crochet coverlet made by my mother. The new ensamble is beautiful and inviting for my next lucky guest.
