The platform in good. Took a while to put together and some parts didn't quite fit where they were supposed too. Overall it is what I expected

It's only 4 stars because it is actually wood. Wood had moderate surface cracking on two pieces and stain was scuffed or scratched in a few spots. But hey, solid wood!

What a waste of money

It looks really nice. However, after my son slept on it a couple of nights, then we slid it across the hardwood floor a few feet it collapsed. One of the rails pulled completely out of the headboard, all four screws came loose, including the two the factory put in to hold the face plate on. We did not handle it roughly at all. Now it is completely unusable and I'm being charged to return it.

Wood is splitting

I would not recommend this at all. We have had it 6 months and the wood is splitting. It is the same on both sides.

I really like the full/double size frame I received. The pieces were packed snug and and all components were in perfect condition. It was easy to assemble. 100% parts matched up to list on instructions. They even pack a few spare bolts in a separate bag. I have old wood floors that can scratch easy, so before I assembled the frame I cut some adhesive furniture felt to the bottom of the 4 corner posts and the 3 center supports so that I can slide it safely. The bed looks as beautiful in person as in the photos. I've had peaceful nights of sleep. The only component I have not added yet is the charger. I just haven't decided where I want to permanently mount, as that adds two more screw holes. As noted in item description, this bed does not require a box spring mattress as it has many supporting slat boards and it sits higher off the floor than my older steel frame I was replacing. I have a tall top mattress anyway so my single mattress comes up high enough to be about 2" below my short nightstands. I could have kept the box spring also, but then I'd be about 6" above my nightstands. I had it shipped to store and picked up from there. It was in two packages, one for base and one for headboard. The only confusing part was that although the shipping containers were correctly marked as bedframe and headboard in the description, and the small white transport labels marked 1of2 and 2of2, the large yellow labels with my last name and product recap just said 1pc and the instore computer said 1pc for whole set. So Home Depot received them both but they got separated, so when I showed up for pickup I was given only one box. Luckily it was the smaller one with headboard so I knew to ask them to search for the much larger box with base. It took about 30min of help to make sure they did not close out my receipt and keep looking for it. We found it safely in the store and I left with both pcs. I did not intend on unboxing for 2wks, so had I been given the larger box first, I might not of realized the headboard box was missing, and this base is only completed with the headboard (meaning the headboard is built into the framing, it is not an added piece to the frame).
