Works like public ones but without automatic shut-off
We got this product for our primary guest half-bath so that we could set it to cold and not unnecessarily have people draw hot water to wash their hands. It works like a public faucet might in that you push it down to turn it on. No way to set different flow. But, sometimes I find guests expect it to turn itself off, which it does not, and I have to go push it down again. Probably would have gotten a different faucet if I had realized this fault. It would be better to be used somewhere guests are not often using it. It does look nice. Hansgrohe's stoppers are also not great, they are hard to get open and to close with the little uncomfortable to use wire in the back.

Fantastic! The push on/off feature is flawless. The flow of water is really good. The control for temperature is so smooth. The length of the cables/hoses are quite long, I had to discard the extensions that I have from my old faucet. I find it very easy to install as well. I haven’t heard of this brand until I saw a youtube instruction of how to replace your faucet and saw the push button feature. The brand apparently is so popular, and german made, so there’s that. Highly recommended.

Love this faucet and you can definitely feel and see the quality that this product has to offer. The material is of very nice metal and the workmanship to operation. The on and off function is solid and smooth. Flow of the water is steady and constant. This fixture is simple but yet solid and very nice. LOVE IT!

I love the style of this faucet. It's simple and elegant, and it's easy to keep clean because there aren't many seams for germs to get trapped in. The functionality is also great because you tap the top to turn the water on and off. It's very easy for young children to use and there is less chance of passing on germs because you can tap it with your elbow or wrist. The faucet itself if heavier than I was expecting, which I'm guessing means more quality parts and I'm expecting it to last a very long time.

I finally found the perfect faucet for our mid-century modern bathroom. It looks great and, even though this may sound funny, it's pretty cool to operate. There is just something more satisfying about pushing a button than maneuvering a handle or knob. Yes, it has only one speed, but that has not been an issue at all. The pressure it flows at seems to hit just the right balance for washing hands or filling cups. When I thought about it I realized I usually turned the bathroom faucet on full force, anyway. I replaced a more expensive Grohe model. The main reason I replaced it was because the Grohe faucet had a perfectly flat top and the handle over it was also perfectly flat. It had a chrome finish. The problem was water did not shed off the flat surfaces and I could not keep ugly water spots from forming. I just hated to look at those spots every day, and it was near impossible, because of the design, to not get them. In addition, even though Grohe says they had an easy to clean chrome coating, it was still hard to wipe away the water marks completely. So, I decided a round surface would shed water better and not show water spots as much. I was correct. In addition, I got the brushed nickel version and that also helps hide water spots. Whatever you do when deciding the style of water faucet to get, make sure you are aware of the problem with flat surface designs: they look super cool, but always stay water spotted. One other good thing about this brand is the drain assembly. It is far superior to the Grohe version. In fact, my review of the Grohe model was spent mostly venting on how bad the drain was. The construction and function was no better than a $20 no-name import. It looks and feels plain cheap. They seem to treat the drain assembly as an afterthought. The hansgrohe (for some reason, they spell their name with a small h) brand has better connectors, a bigger opening and is easier to adjust. You can tell they put some thought into the design. Interestingly, the hole for the drain pull is offset to the right side of the faucet base (the Grohe is centered direcly behind). I really liked this because I have little room between my faucet and a raised shelf behind it. So, if you have a tight spot between the sink and wall, this will work better. The only possible issue is that people unfamiliar with it don't immediately know how to turn it on. It looks like an automatic on/off faucet you find in public restrooms. Even I tried waving my hands in front of it the first time! So, with guests you may have to tell them to just push the top. This is something different in the world of bathroom faucets and I highly recommend you give it your consideration.

First impression is that this is truly a quality faucet. It is soild and so much heavier then the typical big box ones. the body is seemless and and there's no crevices or joints to get dirty so cleanup is very easy. The handle less valve is a nice touch of elegance and very sleek. Functions perfectly. One negative I have is that is this only for a single hole sink. If you have the typical 3 holes you will need to purchase the deck plate separate (at considerable cost, I might add). installation is a little different from what I'm used to this being an European brand, but everythings included less the deck plate. The hook up hoses are on the short side so you may need to source out an extension depending on your installation.

I purchased two of these. They are very high quality faucets. The installation was very straightforward with no need for a plumber if you have basic homeowner skills and tools. If you follow the instructions, it is simple to operate but be prepared to have to explain it to guests. I will never forget when I installed new toilets in the house and they had a knob on the top of the tank lid. It looked decorative, but to flush the toilet, you had to pull it up and release it. Every time someone came out of the guest bathroom with an odd look on their face, I would just ask them if the tried pulling the chrome knob on the top. It never ceased to be funny. The next ones will be automatic and I will have to warn them about warm water spraying up their butt!

PROS: - I like that I can turn this faucet on and in a few seconds I'll have water that is at the same temperature every single time I want it. The temperature setting adjusts by moving the stem left or right, then I just push down firmly on the top and the water starts to flow... push down again and the water stops. - There are mesh filters on the input connectors to keep foreign matter from getting into the precision parts inside. After connecting the water, remove the aerator and let the faucet run for 60 seconds to flush out any debris remaining there from the manufacturing process. - I dare say that this is the coolest faucet I've ever had the pleasure of using. It's sleek. it's modern, it's the future. - Installation is pretty straight-forward, if you have the confidence to try then you can do it. CONS: - This is best for one-hole sinks. It just doesn't look as sleek when used with the base-plate, which you would have to pay a hefty price for.

This is a unique faucet that less prominent in US households. It is one of the first I have seen for home use. I have seen similar ones in commercial settings which unlike the ON and OFF settings by pressing down on the head, they are countdown time limited by the press. The Talis Select lineup includes this S 80, a larger S 100, a vertical with horizontal spout E 110, a much taller S 190, a taller E 240 as well as a line of kitchen sink versions. What sets this line apart from the majority of faucets is the press ON/OFF head design with rotating temperature selection knob. It works great for situation where you want a constant temperature and full flow every time. You will still have to wait for the warm water to arrive at the faucet. This mechanism works surprisingly good and has a nice clean action to it. A quick press with the palm of the hand or finger is all that is needed. There are some unique installation procedures too. It comes with 3/8" adapters that screw to the hot and cold water stops under your sink. They allow the mesh filter screens to fit in place at the stops. The Select mechanism is so small and precise that it can become problematic if contaminants enter into it. It is also recommended to flush water thru the faucet for 2 minutes prior to installing the aerator on the faucet, which also is a precision mechanism. If you have hard water you may want to consider an electronic or media based water softening system. Otherwise you might find yourself in need of cleaning the filter screens periodically or at least yearly to ensure good flow. You may also need to clean the aerator occasionally too. If you haven't ever cleaned them on your current faucets then maybe you never will with this one. It is just something to keep in mind. The minimalist look also makes for an easy to wipe down and keep clean fixture. The exterior of the fixture is sleek and doesn't convey the complexity of the internal components that make it operate. It think it is an example of great engineering and precision manufacturing. For the modern style bathroom it certainly draws attention to itself. As an everyday use fixture it also has proven to be quite user friendly and capable. I think it is a 5 star product reflecting quality and craftsmanship.
