Gorgeous, thick board, nice teak smell!

This cutting board is beautiful, thick, and easy to clean in your sink! I am glad I got the square size and not bigger as it could have been more cumbersome to wash. It smells nice like teak. Looks very rich and high end, because well, it is! Would be great to use as a cheese board or any other nice platter/tray accessory. Makes prepping food a little more enjoyable.

Really do love this cutting board, it's a fixture on top of my kitchen island at all times and looks great. Important to keep it well oiled with mineral oil for it to keep it's brand new look.

Love the board, not so much the buying experience with Sur La Table

The board is great, so far. I placed on online order for in-store pick-up. Brought the board home to find a 3 inch crack, it was the most noticeable feature of what should have been a beautiful board. Went back to the store to exchange it the next day, brought 3 knives for sharpening to better justify the trip. Explained the situation about the cracked board sent home with me and asked to have knives sharpened during the exchange. The staff assisting said it was too busy for him to sharpen the knives and that it would be a 24-hour turn around (it was a Tuesday afternoon with a small group of tourists in the store). I declined to leave my knives and come back a third time. I went to pick out a non-cracked board, same staff came back a few moments later and said he was "being forced to sharpen my knives." The whole experience from start to finish was unfortunate. Don't support big box stores, shop small and local, SLT does not care about quality or the customer experience, only $$$$

Oil it and wax it weekly it's still warping in about a month. For the cost, I'd look somewhere else

Easier to cook now...

Gorgeous and worth the money. There is nonstop food prep in my house. This large cutting board keeps the mess OFF my counter. The variegated wood tones allow the left-behind crumbs and things to blend in rather than stand out (thanks kids). Cutting marks are not apparent and I have sharp Wusthof knives. I am neither a foodie nor a good cook but I do not regret this purchase.
