Netting is a good quality. Poles are flimsy. To install the holes, you will need a method to dig a pilot hole - you cannot hammer these poles into the ground. I used a piece of one inch steal pipe to create pilot holes. I placed the poles in ground 18 inches for more stability. I'm not sure the poles will survive the first prairie wind storm - they were already leaning with a 20 km wind.

Don't waste your money!

Within days deer had easily run through and knocked over this fencing system as the lightweight poles bent like paper straws under the weight and muscle of the deer. They also easily ripped open the fencing material to crawl through other areas. We only have landscaping plants in our yard (not food crops). Invest in heavy duty T-posts and metal fencing material - that is what we plan to do next. Wasted about $750 on 3 sets of this Deer Fencing Kit system.

Deer fencing for garden

I put this up last year. It lasted the entire summer without issue. We tend to get 10 deer or so wandering through our yard at a time. Toward the end of the summer a tenacious bunny finally managed to chew through the netting near the base but it was easily patched. One of the poles bent in half during strong winds. Overall I recommend this product as it does the job well enough and the price is fair. I would purchase again.

Put the fence up , made a tight barrier , looks like the critters and deer will have to fine a different garden to raided. Yes I suggest for the price and ease , deer net fencing is the way to go.lm 82 and will do it again next year.

The netting is not very strong and the poles are a joke. I had to replace them after only one night in the area that didn’t have a lot trees near them. The didn’t bend but the case off the poles and zip ties. You can’t hardly pound the poles in the ground without damaging them. We ruined a few to the point where they couldn’t be used. Poor design!

It should come with at least two more poles.

Great fence

Nice kit. Has everything you need to put up a good fence. Used it around my evergreens that the deer love in the winter.

Seems to be what I needed.

My grapes have not yet come out, however, it looks like this fence will deter the deer. Not sure if it will keep out the turkeys since they can fly, but it's worth a shot!

Update on our deer fence

This morning we awoke to find an adolescent -appearing deer had jumped our fence and was wandering through our mini-orchard having a taste of all the delicious fruit tree/vine leaves. (They still ignore the peach trees.) He kept circling the perimeter, probably seeking a way out. He/she didn't know how to jump out, trying to chew one part of the fence, then suddenly jumped out, but did so badly, pulling down part of the fence along with a pole, breaking it. Fortunately we have a spare pole; these probably should be offered if they aren't. We'll now try adding random tomato cages throughout the central part of the structure to visually confuse them ; hopefully jumping into the obstacles not look too appealing. We shall see!

Reasonably priced deer fencing

It's only been up a few weeks so the jury is still out, but so far: - easy to put up - easy to adjust to our individual needs (protect 8 new dwarf fruit trees) - has withstood strong winds/rain And this was the most reasonably priced one we'd found. We wish we'd found it before losing a number of trees to roaming urban deer!
