This product is a good value for the money. I like the quality, look, and feel of the aluminum front. The backside is black plastic but feels sturdy. The issue I have is when I close the vent entirely and the heat is on, there is an extremely loud whirring/whistling/vibrating noise that occurs. So I won't be ever be able to close the vent all the way, which I could see as a potential problem for most people.

I wish I had the same experience as other commenters. BUT, Décor Grates sent me two different colors ("whites") as part of the same order. Four of the six I ordered have a very noticeable, very distinct BLUE tint. The other two were closer to what I expected. They do not match. No reasonable person would think they can be used in view of each other. Very disappointed that the vendor (not Home Depot) would think that is acceptable. It is not. Will return them as soon as I can take time off work to do so.
