This meat thermometer is really a nice purchase. The digital read out is large enough that you can see it quickly. It works in liquids, solid meats, cakes everything that you need to check to see if the temperature of what you are cooking. It automatically shuts off when you close the probe. I’ve had the same model for several years before it quit working and it was so useful. It’s easy to clean and small enough to store anywhere. It has a place that you can also hang on a hook if you want to the construction seems very solid. This was a good purchase.

Great Meat Thermometer

I truly love it. The probe is longer than the other one I have and as soon as it it is flipped out the unit comes on. No awkward on/off button. Also, it reads instantaneously. My other one is a slower to obtain the maximum reading. It also has a magnetic back as well as a "Light" button in case the display dims while you are working with it. I have 3 others (1 digital %26 2 analog) and this is my very favorite! I don't even use the others any longer.

Functioned as advertised. Simple to operate. Couldn’t be happier.

It Says Meat Thermometer NOT Candy Thermometer.

I got this in one day awesome. The problem is online it says this is a Candy Thermometer. I want to make fudge for Father’s Day. Problem is all of the packing says it is a meat Thermometer. I’d do not want to take it apart in case I can return it. The outside of the Box %26 the Description inside both say Meat Thermometer. I Never cook meat. Why is it listed as a Candy Thermometer?
