Not what it looks like

We ordered this table because it looked like a great design, but when it arrived and we put it together it was more like a piece of stage prop furniture than a piece you would like to have in your living room. The frame, including the part that looks like heavy duty steel strap, is painted MDF. There is no clear coat finish, so any light scratch or scuff will be noticable and permanent. A single spill of any kind of liquid would destroy the finish and cause the MDF to swell. After installing the coaster wheel (pre drilled pilot holes where not properly spaced) the table rocked. Surprisingly, the clock was an actually working electronic clock, but it had a fairly loud tick. We returned the table immediately.

Not What You Think!

Admittedly the coffee table looks nice from pictures but if you think this is a quality made piece of furniture for the price, think again! My first order for this table was lost in shipment somewhere but that should have been a sign not to pursue this item. I called Lowe's support about the order and I was told it was lost. I was refunded for that purchase and a new order was placed. It was shipped and received the item on 5/24/2021. It was very well packaged, box inside of a box with plenty of bubble wrap and foam rubber stuff for protection. The coffee table looks nice but it built with cheap products. Honestly, this coffee table should only sell for $99! It's made in China and probably made for about $30 or less. Most of it is made of fiber board. The only metal on this are the four supports between the top and bottom round pieces, the four wheels parts under the bottom piece (the actual wheels are rubber). I am not even sure the wood that you see on the top of the two round pieces is wood but it's not finished, not stained, a little rough. The black round trim edges is basically thin compressed fiber board like cardboard and will break easily if hit. What looks like round bolt heads on the trim is glued on plastic. The pieces underneath the round pieces is the same stuff as the trim, basically cardboard. The four support post, as stated earlier are metal, but they thin metal and poorly welded together. As I was screwing these into the top part, I kept thinking that at any moment a weld was going to break, thankfully none did. Two had sharp slivers of metal from when the metal was cut and was not removed in the before welding part at the factory. I found these as I was cleaning off the parts with a cleaning rag and they got caught in the rag. Had I just been feeling around them with my bard hand, I would have been cut by the sharp slivers of metal, and I am not exaggerating! All the pieces were dirty. The metal supports and the wheel pieces had some rust on them. The wheels had to be oiled to help them to rotate. I did that before I attached them to the bottom piece. The instructions are worthless. The little wrench they provide is also worthless. You will need a 9/16 socket to tighten the bolts to the bottom piece which screw into the four metal posts. It didn't take me long to put it together. The bolts and screws are metal also. The glass piece is glass but had some etching in it on one side and can't be removed. The clock does work but it is very cheap. No AA battery provided. Again, this table is very overpriced and I honestly don't recommend anyone purchase this at this price. I consider that I was totally ripped off by this company and Lowe's needs to know that this company is selling this coffee table WAY OVER PRICED and them and the consumer is being ripped off. Why don't I just take it back and get my money back? Well, my wife wanted it, it looks nice, and if the pictures come through that I uploaded, then you can see the instructions and the coffee table. Do I recommend it, NO, not for the price. It's too bad that you can't see one of these in the store before buying because if everyone could, they wouldn't be selling currently at $413.98! It's cheap made furniture with a high price, and that's my review!

The picture is a little deceiving since the first photo makes it look like the map from the photo on the wall is what is displayed on the table.

Pretty but not functional

This table is very nice to look at, however the clock does not work. It's supposed to but the hands don't move. It's too much of a hassle to return it so I guess I'm stuck with it.
