replacement for 1101

Sad to see theyre no longer made in the USA. my old Tork 1101 (which was MiUSA) died after 20 years and i had to replace with the 1109 (which is made in Mexico). Still has the same rock solid construction as my old one so hopefully this will last just as long.

Piece of garbage

Do not buy this timer! In the course of a year I’m on my second one. First one would jamb with my device staying on or off. Retuned to Lowe’s. Second one lasted longer but same problem. Also the on, off trippers will not stay tight so it will not turn the device on or off. And if you use pliers to tighten them it destroys the timer wheel

Nearly an identical replacement for an obsolete timer

When an old and out of production Paragon timer failed in a commercial building full of old work, I set out to find a replacement that didn't require re-doing the conduit and wiring. SupplyHouse offered this recommended replacement. Even though the terminal layout was different, the circuitry was easily re-wired and no re-piping was necessary. Even the screw mounting hole and knock-outs were identical in layout. The timer works as needed and is a very high-quality unit. I don't expect a call-back on this job any time soon.

Dont ignore the long term reviews! Defective!

This will last for a season or 2, after that the motor won't have enough power to turn the timer off and then on. The OFF mechanism has very high resistance and that seems to wear off the motor.

Needs a jumper (not includedfor 220 volt operation

To use this for 220 volts you need to install a jumper wire. Fortunately, there was enough slack in one of the original setup for me to make one.

Bad toggle switch

I bought one of these to replace a switch that lasted for 30 years. This one didn’t make it 30 days. The trigger for turning it on works but it won’t turn off. I bought another one and someone had apparently returned it with similar issues. It was clearly used and that one wouldn’t work at all. Very disappointed. Do not buy!

Timer malfunction d

I am in the second York timer in 6 months .The first one did not keep the corrected time. The electrician replaced with the same model. This time will go on at different times of the day. It does not go on the scheduled time.

I have two Tork 1109A timers installed in January 2022. Both of the timers have been working for several months. Thereafter the timers started to work very unreliably. They turn on OK but turning off was not predictable. After another couple month both of the timers did not turn off anymore! I have to admit that the supplier was very supportive trying to solve the problem but so far both timers do not work as expected. I will have to replace them with another brand.

Doesn't last

The wheel on my unit separated from the screw after a few months. Fairly cheaply made for this to happen as it wasn't abused.

Dial Easily broken

I bought this unit twice and it broke both times. The hour dial is not well attached or welded to the screw/gear mechanism. It broke both times after less than a year and the dial would come disattached and would not turn with the gears. We had to reattach it ourselves with special metal glue.
