Completely Crumbling After Less Than A Year

I purchased this table in October 2023, and within a few months noticed that pieces of it were coming apart. I had it sealed to prevent further crumbling (didn't work), and made sure it was covered and safe from the elements. Even then, those efforts were pointless, because the table is absolutely falling apart. This is not at all the level of quality I know and love about CB2, and incredibly disappointing. I wouldn't recommend buying.

Table falls apart and is extremely heavy

We bought this table specifically because it was heavy enough to handle the wind on our rooftop. We bought the cover specific for it and everything. We just uncovered it for the first time this summer after owning it for 3 years (I was pregnant and busy with a baby/toddler after purchasing so never got around to using it), and the table is crumbling. It's so frustrating because we looked every where for the perfect table and thought this was it. It also took a handful of people to carry it up to our roof. I saw in the comments that CB2 mentions storing it inside, but there is no way 1 person or even 2 can bring this in and out. It's extremely heavy! I don't even know how I get can get this off my roof now. This was our first purchase from CB2 too which makes us not want to buy anything from here anymore.

Absolutely fell apart after one season

I purchased this table in the fall of 2022. It had one summer season outdoors, covered when not in use and stored inside during the winter. We just pulled it out of storage for the second season and it’s absolutely falling apart. Huge cracks, chipping, chunks missing -it looks awful and as though it might crumble into many pieces. This was WAY too expensive to be “disposable” furniture. We have loads of CB2 furniture and have never had such a disappointing experience with any other product. Save your money, this is awful.

DO NOT BUY

We didn't even own this piece for 1 year. We kept it fully covered over the Fall/Winter season. It was FALLING APART when we uncovered it last weekend. Literally CRUMBLING. Customer service provided NOTHING. We have spent so much $$$ at CB2 furnishing our home as we recently completed a full renovation... even with that ... barely an apology was offered. Save your money.

Excellent quality - enhances my living space

I bought this to use as a living room coffee table in front of a white L-shaped sectional. I realize this says "outdoor" but it is not possible to move this indoors during inclement weather unless one has a forklift. It is a heavy piece, it's exactly where the delivery people placed it. It's a very pure white with pieces of beautiful stones and looks fantastic in front of the couch. My one request would be to provide clear instructions on how to care for the item. It's not clear if it is already sealed, needs to sealed, or at some point will need to be sealed. For now I am just cleaning it with stone cleaner but I want the item to maintain its beauty and so I wonder if it should be maintained similar to how I care for my concrete tables (wax) or marble (periodic sealing). I'd like to keep it for a while (which is why it will not go outdoors) but adding more detailed care instructions would be helpful for customers so they can enjoy the product longer.

Beautiful but NOT an outdoor table

This is a gorgeous table that I have absolutely loved. Whenever we have people over, it gets compliments. It's the perfect size for our back deck and looks lovely with our Crate and Barrel outdoor furniture. However, it is NOT an outdoor table. Despite covering it and protecting it from rain, the table literally crumbled apart and is completely unusable. It is way too heavy to "bring indoors" during freezing temperatures (and this was not recommended when I purchased it two years ago). NOT worth the price. So disappointed.

Don’t buy this!

Don’t buy this! Like other reviewers, I have had this table since 2022 and it is crumbling. And, like others, CB 2 is not standing by the product and says it will not replace or provide merchandise credit. CB2 and this table are terribly disappointing. I will never shop here again.

DO NOT BUY THIS

I purchased this table spring of 2022. It is just starting to become spring in 2024, I took the cover off the table for the first time this year, and the whole thing is eroding away. I am now stuck with an expensive, heavy, & useless piece of garbage in my backyard that Crate & Barrel will not do anything about. No refund, no credit, nothing. The table was covered with the matching cover I also purchased 95% of the time.

Very substantial

Beautiful piece. Weighs a lot. 220 lbs. Beware, there are foam feet attached to the bottom. We had to reattach a few after unboxing and sliding it a bit. Really substantial. Perfect addition to our low sitting outdoor sectional.

Sturdy unique outdoor table solution

This outdoor table is both eye catching and unique. The Terrazzo look gives a high end feeling. The foam feet to be applied to the bottom will likely not hold up to the table being pushed around on concrete, wished it had more durable feet or glides, as it is very heavy to move or lift each time. overall the piece is beautiful.

Just Came in, we’ll see how it holds up!

This just arrived today, and it looks nice. I think they are all a little different, as some people mentioned theirs were more cream colored, but mine is white with lots of nice pale blue/gray terrazzo speckles. There’s definitely some very small imperfections, e.g. you can kind of see where the machine finished the job and there is a tiny flat section, but overall it looks really nice. It IS hollow inside. I saw this in another review and was concerned, but it’s actually a good thing, because it is very heavy. It being hollow makes it easier to move. I was worried I would not be able to lift it, as the specs say it was 189 lbs and we were trying to figure out if we needed casters for it. I don’t actually think it’s that heavy. It’s moveable, but certainly won’t blow away in the wind. To maintain this table and prevent chipping I plan to seal it with a food safe sealer, and polish with beeswax, as well as cover it when not in use. I noticed a lot of people who mentioned chipping either didn’t seal it or only covered it in the winter, or both. Delivery was nice and easy. Got lots of communication from CB2 and a call when they were 20 minutes away. The team was nice and professional and placed it on my deck for me as it was very close to the driveway where they’d planned to drop it initially.

Unique coffee table

We are using this table as the coffee table in our living room. The quality exceeded my expectations. We were looking for something kind of special and unique but that wouldn’t take over the whole room. This hits the mark. The terrazzo is interesting without being overbearing. We love putting our feet up with having a cup of coffee or a glass of wine around our new table.

Perfect outdoor coffee table

This is my favorite outdoor coffee table ever. I'm an interior designer that designs multi-unit residential buildings in New York and New Jersey. For the outdoor amenity spaces in all of my buildings, no matter which outdoor furniture I select, this is my "go to" table. It is beautiful, strong, impactful, architectural, well made and residents love it. It is truly a perfect table that will be enjoyed for years.

Favorite piece in my house!

I received this Terrazzo table a few months ago. It is by far my favorite piece in the house. As a first time homebuyer, I wasn’t just simply shopping for furniture, I was investing! I feel as though this table is going to last me a long time. It is extremely durable and easy to clean. Currently, I’m using this piece as an indoor coffee table but I love that fact that it’s versatile and I can easily transition it outside if my aesthetic changes. So incredibly happy with this purchase that I even bought the matching end table!

Worth the wait

Purchased this table for indoor use. It is beautiful and helps pull my room together. The surface is smooth and definitely looks like it was designed for indoor use (that is to say that it doesn't look like I forced an outdoor table to work indoors). Speckling aside, the table is slightly off white, but I really like that about it. But perhaps if you are looking for a true white table, I would reconsider.

Chips and shards after barely 1 season

We had this not even 1 full year and 1 summer season and we went to open it back up this Spring and there were shards and chips of the table top all over. We had to blow off the top and deck with a leaf blower. We loved the table at first as it seemed really durable but that is not the case. We even purchased the CB2 matching table cover and keep it covered all the time except when we are using it. I even brush off any standing water after it rains so it doesn't just sit there. Very disappointed!

Beware Not White

Just received today. When a seller advertises an item as “white” & all the photos from both the seller & customers show item as white, you expect the item to be white, not ivory, not cream, not off-white. This table is definitely not white, but a solid cream color & not the soft grey terrazzo flecks as shown In customer photos or CB2’s website photos. Our table’s flecks are a darker brown, tan, pink, blush & some grey. And way, way more flecks than what the photos show. I mean a lot more. I did read that each piece is unique, however, they should mention that colors shown can vary wildly. Even though I love the color pink I definitely did not expect to have pink as an accent color in our living room! Purchased for indoors. Most of the customer photos show as an indoor table, but can be used outdoors. I adore all my CB2 purchases-but for the first time I am disappointed with this piece…hoping my call to customer service goes well in the morning…

Not outdoor quality, deteriorating after 2 months

I bought the outdoor terrazzo coffee and side table early last summer, although they didn't arrive until late October. They are beautiful pieces, and aside from two chips on the edge of the coffee table, they arrived exactly as described. I kept them inside throughout the winter and moved them onto my backyard patio in June. I tried to purchase outdoor protective covers through cb2 but used a tarp as the covers were discontinued. A few weeks ago, I noticed some hairline cracks forming on the coffee table’s surface, which have become more defined and have spread to the sides of the table. After inspecting it more closely, I found several holes on the surface, sides and more chips on the table's edges. I was surprised and disappointed to see the damage forming after only a few weeks of outdoor use. I’m a single homeowner in my 30's, have no children or pets, and am very intentional about caring for my furniture. I reached out to CB2/Crate & Barrel for troubleshooting support and was told to use beeswax for preventative maintenance (not sure if it’s too late for that, but I’m going to try it). I also asked for recommendations on a product that can fill the larger cracks and chips/holes and was told they'd get back to me with an answer, which unfortunately I never received. Without patching most of the table up, I don't imagine it will last the season, which is dumbfounding considering the cost. I would not recommend this table for outdoor use.

Absolute Show Stopper

It took me about 5 months to pull the trigger on this and I’m glad I did. Everyone compliments it, and it manages to stand out without overpowering the room. I decided to use this piece indoors and it won’t be moving any time soon as it’s about 200lbs.

Stunning addition to my home!

This tarrazzo coffee table caught my eye when I first saw it. It’s absolutely stunning in person. I searched for three years for the perfect coffee table and this one met all of my needs. It brightens my tall, North facing living room, softens the vibe of a dark faux leather couch I had to buy because I have cats that scratch fabric furniture, and it has held up extremely well after a year of use. Its heavy (hollow inside) but I can lift one side up easily on my own and roll it aside if I need to clean around it. It is smooth with a slightly rounded edge but still looks sharp and crisp. The tarrazzo details up close are very pretty and remind me of stones and shells. I had it delivered and the CB2 delivery team were AMAZING! They carried it in, unwrapped it, placed the table where I needed it, cleaned up the packaging, and were done in 5 minutes! I highly recommend this table and CB2 delivery for larger items.
