The shelf face was uniformly delaminated so I had to return it.

Came Damaged

Didn't even unbox the entire thing before it I noticed how low quality it was. Every front facing piece was damaged, the laminate was peeling, it was rough. Will be returning. Got the larger bookcases as well- not excited to see how those arrive. My Ikea bookcases look better than this.

arrived broken

I am giving it two stars because it is solid wood. Bought two of these and they both came broken. The front trim piece for the center divider is separated from the main piece. Now have to haul them back to the store.

Very nice quality and solid. Easy to follow instructions. Although there was some damage when unboxed customer service was excellent.

Several pieces were broken when the package was opened and required repair. Item packaging requires improvement.

GOOD PIECE

Good materials, but many imperfections

we bought this same bookshelf in a larger size and love it. however, when this one came there was a piece that had come apart. we had to glue it back together after straightening a nail. we had various pieces with imperfections. when we assembled it there are noticeable gaps in some places, which we did not experience with our other bookshelf of the same material.

Wooden pieces were less than perfect thereby creating gaps .

Meets needed purposes.

The instructions were not as clear on this as they are on some. For instance, the pieces were not labeled as the instructions said they would be. The back is real plywood, but it's pieces taped together with regular plastic box packing tape. The "flathead" screws listed are actually drywall screws. When we were finished, the bookcase leaned backwards about 1/2" instead of standing square. All others we have built have stood square. The back is plywood pieces, not cardboard, and the back is screwed on. It is very attractive when finished. It also seems very sturdy.

it was great, one shelf came damaged, but just a lilttle, and a quick email and the replacement process was started without any problem. it looks great

Defects on the back panel which are not apparent until fully assembled. Terrible instructions. Home Depot customer service is terrible.

All composite press board was very disappointing and the description didn't clarify that. Edges of surfaces rubbed off easily while assembly took place.
