Great Looking Filing Cabinet

Nice Filing Cabinet. Takes a little time to put together but all parts fit well and finished product looks good. Removed 1 star because top of the cabinet had a hairline crack. We didn’t notice until most of the cart was put together so decided not to return it. The printer covers the flaw anyhow. Have ordered a few pieces of furniture from Monarch Specialties and this is the first slightly damaged item we received. Other than this flaw, we are happy with our purchase.

Perfect size. Color of base and top and modern style work well with our existing furniture. Love the drawers for storage.

Its nice. screws didn't line up or go in fully so drawers were catching on them.

Great office addition

Shipping was wonderful. Assembly was very easy. Makes a wonderful addition to our home office. So much so another one is a must have. The color was exactly what I had wanted.

It's beautiful, but came in about 100 pieces with directions that a caveman could not understand. It couldn't cost much more to put some actual words in the directions. Or, charge a little more and ship it assembled. Spent 3 hours putting the thing together.

It is exactly how it looks and matches the desk perfectly. It is not solid wood but you will not find solid wood for this price. Be careful with the little black scews going into the particle board on the drawers. It was delivered on time but the shipping communication was slow. I am buying another one.

Nice looking File cabinet

The filing cabinet is very nice once assembled. It took all morning to complete assembly. The instructions say little and some of the pictures are vague and leave you guessing. I don't care for that. I would have given the file cabinet 5 stars but because of the vague instructions it gets 4 stars.

Nice File Cabinet

Matches the Monarch Specialties desk I purchased several months ago (taupe). Easy (but time consuming) to put together. I took one star off quality as the drawers sometimes won't go back in without effort. It could be the way I put it together lol. I recommend this item! Love my office and get many compliments on it!

Worth the hassle of assembly! These look PERFECT!

I bought 2 and they look awesome! After assembly of the first one, the second one was a breeze! They're heavy, which means they are very sturdy and well designed. The perfect addition to my new office.

Took me 2 nights to put together

I am happy with the finished product however I put it together myself as my husband was out of town. It took me probably over 3 hours between the 2 nights but I was being very deliberate in putting it together. It looks nice in our home office - I ordered the gray. I do wish it had a lock on the drawers.

This filing cabinet is attractive and stable. I got the dark wood finish and it looks great in my office. My one complaint is that the inner drawer measurement given is slightly off by 1/8 of an inch, so my inner drawer organizer that should have fit did not fit.

If how well this cabinet was packaged, and pre-drilled and set up for assembly is any indication, then this cabinet should be a real winner. all of the pieces were packed nightly, were accurately drilled and labeled, and the parts fit nicely and went together perfectly. It feels very strong and should work out well. We will be using two of them as the left and right sides of a desk. They appear to be very sturdy and strong. They are laminated particleboard, not real wood, but they look great.

This is a great value for the price. Easy to put together, well made. It's important to understand this is a wood-look laminated particle board filing cabinet. It is most suited to a home office and not an everyday office. We bought it over a year ago, and it still looks and works as though it is brand new. We work in our home office 4-6 hours per week on average for reference.

Love this cabinet. I'm using it as a printer stand and it's great. You do have to use the rollers that it comes with or you can't open the bottom drawer without it scraping the ground but if you're ok with the rollers, it's a great product. I purchased this along with the matching desk and LOVE them both. Highly recommend them.

Great product for the price

I needed two 1 drawer file cabinets to match my restoration hardware desk. These are perfect the color is the "wood" is perfect. They do not look inexpensive at all. It took me about 1 hour to get both of them put together. They open and close easily and are perfect for my new office.

Features are fair

I bought 2 of these files, for letter size and 1 for legal size folders. I've put together a number of pieces of furniture, so am not new to this. The directions were all diagrams with arrows, which are generally not difficult to follow, but they were rather small, so to much on each page. The big disappointment was that after putting the bottom drawer together to accommodate legal-size folders, I found the drawer to be just a bit narrower than the files. Now I'll have to trim all of files to fit - ugh!! Hope the other one is right for the letter size files when I get done.

Beautiful

I ordered this to go with the custom designed reception desk we ordered for our front office, and we were shocked at how well it matches and blends with the beautiful finish of the desk wood. It looks like we matched them intentionally! It's easy to navigate and slides discreetly below the desk. The only thing I would change is that the drawers are not padded nor do they come with pads, so they're loud when you close them. A set of clear sticky drawer pads (also at Office Depot) answered that question with no hassles.

This filing cabinet is sturdy and looks very modern and functional. Assembly can be time consuming and tedious, true, but everything is well labeled and it came together quite nicely. The overstock price was unbeatable. Highly recommended.
