Nice looking table, but they smell...

I love these side tables. They were easy to put together, sturdy, and look great in my living room. I gave them 3 stars instead of 5 because as I took them both out of their boxes, I detected a strong mildew smell. The tables have retained this smell, and I get a whiff every time I walk past them. I sprayed them with lemon furniture polish. That helped a bit, but not completely. I'm hoping that with time and air, the smell will subside. Also, there were caution stickers on the back of the tables that were very difficult to remove. It took a lot of Goo Gone, and a scraper to get them off. I decided to keep them because I had put so much work into them!

Don't look too closely

Finish is not smooth. Stain is not even. This is clearly a budget piece, but I'm on a budget. It works in my tiny colonial bedroom, and could work well in a little corner of a foyer, but it's too small for an everyday nightstand.

Great little table, incompetent business practices

Nice little table, nicely made, drawer opens smoothly-exactly what I wanted. My complaint is with Overstock's incompetence. I placed this order almost two months ago, but immediately realized two tables were ordered when my computer had frozen up. I contacted Overstock within moments via online chat, who assured me the second order was cancelled. However, two tables were delivered. No problem, I returned the second per O's instructions, who was even kind enough to have UPS pick up at my house, with this being their mistake. That was nearly two months ago but Overstock has yet to credit the second charge, even after PayPal Credit initiated a dispute, which they refused to honor. My Overstock account shows only one table ordered, and no other table returned, while they continue charging me for two. Further, every time I attempt to access my Overstock account, it is consistently unable to identify me via my phone no., which has been my only phone for many years. I like O's products and quick shipping, but after spending HOURS today with PayPal Credit and Overstock to resolve this, and now to write this review because I figure this is the only way to get their attention, I'm reconsidering using Overstock again.

Goes Well With Dark Cherry Coffee and End Tables

This accent table is just what I needed to finish off my dark cherry coffee table and end table. Looks so elegant in the corner of the room that needed a little something and this accent table finished the look I was going for. The drawer on this comes in very handy for little things to be hidden out of the way.

Perfect for a little corner.

Perfect for a little corner. I like the color. It matches the color of the wooden frame on a painting I have hanging over it so it blends in perfectly with the interior design of my place. The legs are solid wood and the dark cherry finish is even with no defects.

Made well

The table is well made but the finish on it isn't very smooth. It actually has a small bubble in the front but hard to see. I didn't expect perfection on it but it would have been nice if the finish was more professional. The same old adage. You only get what you pay for.

Great little table

Love these! They arrived in great condition, very well packed. Good quality, quick and easy to put together. I bought two and put them together in about 20 minutes.

Nice Flower Table

This Table provide excellent accent to my Basement Area that uplifts my dark area, it is currently placed between my Kitchen and Bathroom Area. It provides stability and compliments the other Furniture for perfect accent. It is a quality piece of Furniture that provides a needed décor.

Exactly what I needed

The dimensions of this table are just what I needed. It arrived very quickly and assembly was quite easy, requiring no tools at all. I expect the table to serve the purpose for which I bought it for decades to come.

Not exactly dark cherry

I ordered this table in hopes it would match my other dark cherry bedroom furniture. It has more of a medium tone than your average dark cherry. My other pieces, in spite of being ordered seperate, match in this way. Additionally it arrived damaged (dinged and scratched on the side) and it is slightly top heavy and unstable on carpet. I'm sure it would work much better if you have hardwood floors. It's going back and I'm still on the hunt for a small nightstand.

Love it!

I purchased this to function as a night stand in my guest bedroom. Let's just say that I'm purchasing two more for my bedroom. It was very easy to assemble. Just a matter of screwing the legs in place. Since I have carpet in my bedroom, I thought it would be a little wobbly, but it isn't at all. It's very sturdy in fact. I find the night stands that are sold with bedroom sets to be too bulky, and all the coordination is over kill (borrrring). This accent table brings the sophistication, and uniqueness that I was going for. Mission accomplished!

top heavy but nice

This little table looks beautiful and will work out just fine in my guest bedroom. It is a bit top heavy - I am using it as a bedside table on a thick carpet, so maybe on a hardwood floor it would be sturdier.

Great Purchase. Love my new nightstands!

I was was very happy with this purchase. I got the nightstands 2 days after I ordered them which was a pleasant surprise. They are beautiful and and I was able to asemble them within 10 minutes (and that was with my 3 year old "helping" me) The only small issue i had is that they are a teeny bit wobbly, but its nothing major and for the price I expected that. Also, if it helps I ordered these because I have a very small room where I can barely fit a queen bed, and I couldn't find any nightstands that would fit. These fit perfectly, and I even had a little room to spare. They look just like pictured.

Safavieh cape cod dark cherry night stand

The style is wonderful and it was easy to assemble. However, the staining quality was very poor. It looked like my 4 year old took a paint brush an was practicing painting. Some parts were completely covered, while other parts were lacking. Fortunately it's in areas no one would really see . All in all, i love the design

Loved it,

I bought one of these, and like it so much when I got it that I bought three more! The assembly is as easy as screen the legs on. What I wanted was a tall cherry colored small nightstand. That is exactly what this is. Very, very nice.
