The overall look of the nightstand is fine. It is a little wider than some other nightstands, but the extra room is not reflected in the drawer space but taken up by the frame. My nightstands came with some dents in the very front of one (very visible), and some scratches, even though they were solidly packed in boxes with plenty of extra packaging. Sending them back would be a pain, so I will try to cover the dents. They were quite inexpensive as furniture goes, so I did not expect much.
