Toxic odor

The construction of this piece is satisfactory. The fasteners are of low quality. One broke during assembly. Luckily they did include one spare. The finish on this piece has a toxic smell that won’t seem to fade. Currently it sits in the garage hoping that eventually the odor it emits will dry up. I’d return it, but how exactly do you do that since it was purchased on-line and assembled at home?

Tall storage shelf

As I expected, dark cherry wood finish. I assembled in 45 minutes. I needed a tall and narrow storage and it worked for me. It had strong smell and left it outside on the patio to air out for 3 days after building it. It smell less but in a day, the smell dissipated.

Came with oily smell which gave me headaches

Great product and easy to put together. Has a lingering and off-putting smell that has made me put it in the basement for a couple of weeks to decrease

Nice piece but the offgassing smell is killing us

Nice piece of furniture, but... Lightweight, mostly real wood, but we have had it in the basement for two weeks waiting for the offgassing smell to dissipate. We tried putting it in the office again yesterday and we both instantly got headaches again from the smell. Hoping it's gone soon so we can actually use it.

Great for small spaces!

This shelf is the perfect size for a small corner. The color looks just as it does in the photo. It was easy to assemble and is strong enough to hold my daughter’s big college text books. I recommend this for anyone who needs to make use of small spaces.

Ok bookshelf - serves a purpose

Hard to find a bookcase this narrow. Shelves not adjustable. Moderately easy but not easy to put together. Looks good - not great. And was slightly damaged upon arrival and no reply from Overstock on this and I just didn't want to send this large item back.

Smell

Easy to install. Cannot use yet due to strong odor, so letting sit outdoor. Shelves are fixed.

Nice piece but...

This was very easy to put together, looks nice but did have an issue with strong smell. Airing it out and hopefully all will be well.

Déception

Une construction finale plutôt frêle, parce que les panneaux latéraux ne sont pas en plein bois. La finition finale laisse à désirer, les cases sont toujours poussiéreuses, car les montants ne sont pas poncés, mais rugueux. Toute la poussière s'y accumule et cela use les livres.

Looks good but side panels’ feet damaged

I’m pleased that the item arrived sooner than initially indicated. It looks nice, but the two side panels’ feet were slightly damaged (panel A and B.) Paint is chipped off. I need to assemble ASAP so I don’t want to wait for replacement parts. It’s unfortunate more care isn’t made at the time of shipment.

Beautiful Little shelf

This is a very nice small bookshelf/ display shelf. It is made of good quality, easy to assemble and instructions show a diagram with pictures. Made.of real wood! Like it so much I purchased another for the opposite side.of my TV console! Recommend two as it gives nice visual appearance to the livingroom

ASSEMBLY REQUIRED

T says on the website, in the erroneous description, that there is NO assembly required. In fact, it DOES require assembly. That said, it was fairly simple and the end result is a nice and sturdy product, i'm happy with my purchase.

Flimsy

Doesn't look or feel like hardwood. It is more like a melamine board. The unrealistic finish scratches easily. . . Hardware won't support heavy books in the long run.
