Easy to replace. Hopefully it will work for a long time. I wish I could have purchased just the transformer without the timer.

I was told I would

I was told I would get the silver colored transformer as pictured on line but instead it turned out to be green.

No Splitter included

Evidently in order to make this system work it requires a specific splitter which was not included in the package I purchased nor do I recall seeing it even mentioned that it would be needed. When my contractor came to install the stairs and lights he was unable to do so and had to order the splitter which we are now waiting for.

Transformer replacement.

The transformers were replacements for a lightning strike damage. Both of the old ones were blown out, no DC voltage. One of them had the case rupture. The new ones were direct replacement for Trex.

Would have like to just

Would have like to just be able to by the transformer and not the timer but it was only sold as a kit.

Poor Service

Timer was broken when I received it. Instead of replacing it, Decks Direct gave me the name of a non-existant person to file a warrantee claim. I had to call Trex to file a claim. Trex made me wait weeks to validate that the timer was indeed broken and repaired it.

2nd bad transformer

I have bought two of these and the second one only lasted a month. I am only running 19 post cap lights. It costs a lot of money for not a good product. Very frustrating.

Bought this to replace my previous trex transformer that was flaky. That was only 5 years old. This one did the trick.

Only worked when lighting was being hooked up l

The transformer only worked when I was setting up the lighting. It does not work anymore it was purchased in August and hooked up in October. It should’ve lasted longer than that.
