This product does NOT include predrilled holes for assembly to either help align the shelves or to ensure you do not damage or crack the wood. It comes with screws and a screwdriver and it's up to the buyer to determine if the shelves are centered accordingly - good luck, I had to call Houzz Customer Support to confirm as this was not mentioned in the product details. The wood itself seems nice, I appreciate the sort of unfinished look about it, however it is also smaller than I was expecting and I should have paid more attention to the dimensions as I might have gone with a different/larger shelf.
