The cable worked as expected, connecting the TV to my Home Theatre Receiver. It is flexible enough to fit in tight spaces, without being flimsy. This cable is actually 2 meters, which is a little longer than the 6 feet listed; that works for me, always good to have some extra slack. Thought this was a good deal, especially with lifetime warranty and 90 day return privileges at Home Depot. I was concerned about the packaging (it was shipped to store): It was shipped in an envelope that had minimal padding; I had expected a small box for protection. My concern was that the optical fiber could have been damaged, especially since the envelope had black markings all over, as if it were crushed between other items shipped. [This is not a copper cable, which would not be as vulnerable.] However, I was happy to see that the cable works fine, so there was no damage.

This cable worked much better than others I tried. Many have large plug ends which are difficult in tight spaces. I tried 2 other types of thicker cables on my sound bar and they would not stay plugged in. This is designed like the original cable I received with the sound bar and is perfect. Also is great on space since I have to pull this cable with many others and am limited on space in my cable tray.

I don't know if sound quality can vary from optical cable to optical cable , but this works fine....

The point of getting a light weight TOSLink cable is to prevent the weight of a heavy cable from damaging the TOSLink socket. So these are really thin, and really light. And when you plug them into the socket, they engage with a loud click -- nice and secure. It's only when you try to remove one of these cables that you discover that the plug is so stuck into the socket you have to use a great deal of force, possibly damaging the socket as you try to disengage the cable. To make matters worse, the plugs have gripping surfaces only on the sides, not on the top and bottom of the plastic plug. So to get the necessary purchase, you have to remove all the other cables anywhere near the TOSLink socket, then use something grippy between your fingers and the plug while you grip the plug only on the side edges and p-u-l-l...... POP! and out it comes. Great for a long term connection, but if you think you might have to remove these cables, use another brand, like the Home Essentials Direct ones, which are heavy but easier to insert and remove.
