Very Nice quality - my bunny is chewing up the wood inside, though. Hoping it will last long term. Otherwise, this is a quite impressive hutch.

Cold weather hutch

This hutch is just what I was looking for to put on my deck for cold weather. Easy to clean and feels more solid than some other hutches I've purchased in the past. I like the removable plexiglass for the wire doors. Just wish there was an easy way to hang a heated water bottle.

My rabbits love their new home. One problem. The hinge on the top of rabbit cage, rabbits must of got a leg or something stuck in the hinge. Could of been bad. These are $2000.00 Continental Giants! But I removed hinge; and hopefully you will warn customers.

I have put together many pieces from Ikea and others - but was taken aback by the lack of direction here. It went from these 2 pieces form the back to , magically, sides, back & front are together! Yikes, I need help! with 3 people - 2 to hold things together and 1 to place screws, it went well. Especially as Dave is Great at putting things together. The trays do slide in and out nicely. I was concerned as the bottom tray is bowed downward a bit - but it works fine. one piece had split open a bit, used some wood glue and few clamps to hold it together prior to putting it together. I feel much better about this than the prior cage our bunny was in. It took the bunny a bit to be able to confidently run up and down the ramp. and the ramp is covered with rough shingle type material which may help keep the nails down a bit (in a good way. I'm grateful for that). I like the easy access to all of the top and bottom for cleaning, feeding,...nice design. and the roof is slanted a bit, covered w shingle material. did well in the rain. Also the front screens have a plastic 'window' that can be easily removed in the summer, will replace come winter when less air circulation would be a good thing. The posts have rubber covers over the 'feet' and it is stable. The top or lid has a nice hinge that locks in the up position for access and cleaning. Nice! I've been using it for almost a month now and am liking it. also it looks good - it not an eyesore.

Hope you like the color ORANGE!

The color of this hutch is flat-out orange in person. It's orange like a pumpkin, not this nice looking stained cedar color one would assume from the photo. Also, the locks are very cheap and would be easy for a racoon to open. We bought new locks for the hutch. I bought this hutch because it is insulated and I kept if for that reason. Just be prepared for the color shock. . . a major bummer.

Trixie Pet 2-in-1 Rabbit Hutch

I like the cage over all. A few things that could be changed is making a latch for each door. Having one latch for two doors is difficult to work and I have to make sure both sides are locked so he doesn't get out. Also between the back wall and the tray, the tray is very low and the urine runs out the back of the cage making a mess on the floor that's hard to get at to clean.

Bunny is warm

For the most part the quality of this hutch is great, it's the finishing items that aren't up to the same standard. I can see why so many people received this item with broken pieces, the packing was not great. We had a small crack in one of the shelves, but nothing important enough to do anything about. The assembly instructions were in broken english, so good luck figuring out which way is up. And, the bracket has not instructions or pre-drilled holes. The drawer in the middle doesn't stay flush because as soon as the bunny hops up and down the ramp everything slides out a few millimeters. It has kept our bunny warm even below freezing. It's very attractive sitting on our porch and, it's more than large enough for our larger rabbit or two small bunnies. Hayneedle delivered right on time with great tracking and no other issues.

Needs a wire bottom.

This cage was easy to put together and well made. The only drawback is that it has no bottom except the pull out tray with the plastic insert. When cleaning, the animal has nowhere to stay. The animal must stand in their own litter until it is cleaned. I'm building frames and putting a wire bottom in both levels so I can pull out the trays to clean without the animal escaping.

God looking house and easy to assemble

We bought it for our 2 guinea pigs. They have yet to climb upstairs but they have enough space.

Arrived Damaged

Decent quality, arrived damaged, Hayneedle would only give me a 10% discount to make repairs myself. We polyurethaned the outside to help it last a bit longer outside. Fairly easy to assemble.

amazing product!! -very sturdy & well-designed! :D

an OUTSTANDING cage! my rabbits are usually rearin' to go when its time to get let out of their cage. They loved their b-day gift so much, they didn't even want to leave their cage at all for the first 5 days!!! Also VERY easy to put together; easy instructions and easy partial-assembly! The only thing i have to complain about is probably not entirely hayneedle's fault. During shipping, a small plastic piece on the bottom of the one of the legs broke and shattered. i had to replace it to make the cage level, but it was an easy fix. definitely worth it! :D

Great hutch!

It was easy to assemble and went together in less than 30 minutes! Outside is durable and well made. It even has plexiglass windows for added warmth that must be removed in temperatures above 50 degrees. For warmth, you can't beat this hutch. It even stayed dry inside during a pretty big storm. The only downside is that the wood INSIDE of the hutch is relatively soft so our bunny has already nawed the ramp and some of the wood inside the hutch. We even gave him his usual chewing sticks so that he wouldn't chew on the hutch but it doesn't seem to be working. This is the only reason we didn't give this hutch a 5 star rating.

Build your own

Terrible, Terrible and more terrible. the wood and glass is CHEAP!!! wood pieces came broken. lower tray is hard to pull out to clean. urine leaks from upper tray on the floor. the ramp is too narrow for rabbit to come down without running into the wall. there's no insulation because my rabbit fur is cold and he is freezing in the morning in 62 degree weather.i had to bring it in the house to keep him warm. As a single Mother, I thought it would've been a great investment and I was wrong!!!! I was debating to take it down and return it. My money went down the drain.

Build your own

I was very disappointed when I opened my boxes. There were pieces broken and the wood is cheap. After putting it together, I was deciding whether to take it down and send it back. My opinion, the ramp is not appropriate for rabbits. It is too narrow, not wide enough and he will hit the lower level wall coming down. I decided to test the insulation last night with the rabbit in it and when I got up this morning it was 58 degrees and my rabbit was freezing cold. I was furious!!!!Where is the insulation that I paid $300.00 for? When I tried to clean it, the upper tray was fine to pull out and clean. But the lower tray, was stuck and I couldn't pull out. I'm a single Mother, I put it together alone and I wish I would've built it myself. At least I would've done a better job building, having better structure, stability and had satisfaction with the finished project. $300.00 down the drain!
