Great value and versatile

I have been eyeing these for a while for my puckout set, smaller, waterproof, durable and strong and very easy to customize. I am working on the rest of the set, but the drawer has already been great, full of dividers which are great for fasteners and smaller tool accessories

Take apart system

I purchased the TSTAK system, including this toolbox, only to find out you have to take everything off the trolley to be able to use it, which is not what I purchased it for! Very disappointed in this system, there should be at least something warning that none of the pieces are usable without complete disassembly of the system!

After 50+ yrs of using tools of all types, it just dawned on me as I was packing up to relocate to a new state that I was sorely lacking for tool storage, particularly for moving. All these yrs I’ve been using an old oak cabinet for tools and hardware storage with one ancient craftsman steel toolbox I bought off a friend for $20 with a 3/8” ratchet and wrench set. So high time to organize a little better. Searching around, this looked like best bang for the price. Fits my needs well and an old plastic tray/tote fits under the tray so I got 3 levels of stg. Time will tell if it holds up but it’s mostly gonna sit on a shelf most of the time.

Works as I needed and very happy.

Works as intended. Needed a smaller box for more specialized tools. I use multiple systems and as one of the original storage solutions TSTAK still holds up to the task.

Great value for the money

Purchasing this toolbox was a no brainer. Especially for the price. Even smaller portable plastic tool boxes from big box stores cost the same. We already have several TStak boxes, so adding another one to the household even to be used independently just made sense.

Nice Large Storage Box For Tools & Batteries

Nothing fancy but gets the job done. Has plenty of room to store your cordless tools. I was able to easily fit my cordless orbital and sheet sanders as well as my cordless drill and impact driver. The storage on top is nice and holds a battery charger and several batteries. Feels solid and overall great product. Priced reasonably when compared to other DeWalt or competitor storage units of this size.

Think outside the box

So will find reviews that the Dewalt foam does not fit this particular TSTAK tool box. Technically true. However, if you pull out your Dremel tool and use a cutoff wheel you can remediate the obstacle in about 15 minutes. See attached photo for the areas, marked with a grey Sharpie, that wereI trimmed off. Once done I was able to pluck the foam to hold my 6 1/2 Milwaukee (including blade installed) w/ a 5.0 battery installed an two additional spare 5.0 batteries.

Circular Saw Storage

Needed something store my newly acquired Milwaukee M18 6-1/2 in. circular saw (2630-20). This case fir the bill. Note, it is tall enough to accommodate the tool with the blade attached. Unlike, the box the saw was shipped in. Plenty room left over to carry spare blades.

Nice DeWalt box. But just too large for their 6.5” battery operated circular saw even will filler foam in the bottom of the DeWalt box. I may use it for the DeWalt battery and charger storage. I have several DeWalt 20 volt battery powered tools and several various amperage batteries.

Storage Box For Circular Saw

Wanted a srorage box for my Dewalt Flex Volt 7 1/4 circular saw but could not find a sku on the Dewalt website, so I decided to take a chance on this box. Glad i did. With one minor adjustment to the saw (raised the blade to maximum height and tilted the blade and raising the blade guard) saw fit perfectly with room for 2 or more 6amh battiries. Great price for a circular saw hardcase.

The TSTAK is amazing. There are TONS of options out there for the purpose of storage. One would think it would be easy to find just the right one. But because there are so many options, then, so many other options with-in those options, it quickly gets overwhelming if trying find just the right storage set. Dewalt has hit the nail squarely on the head with TSTAK. With some of their competitors the options are so broad that it’s almost impossible to pick just the right combination of cases. Then there is cost. One of there competitors would charge in the neighborhood of $750. To build the same option that would cost under $300. With TSTAK. Unmatched in my opinion.

I found the 17" Tstak box well made and on this metric, it gets 4 or 4-1/2 stars. However, it is not compatible with the ToughSystem line, and I think the SWK should reconsider this choice. Also, the 17" box is barely large enough for a circular saw. It was NOT large enough for my intended use (to hold a 1gal air compressor, 25' hose and fittings). I think that the whole system (Tstak & TS 2.0) should be redesigned. At a minimum, interior case dimensions should be about 24-25" long, and 15" deep. For a base box like this, the interior height should be 13-14 inches exlcusive of the tray. Two stars (**) for engineering. Thus, 3 stars overall.

By far one of the best toolbox options on the market

I looked at all the available toolboxes on the market for my cabinetry/carpentry business and the TSTAK series was by far the best option.

I did not buy this to use as a tool box, though I imagine it would be excellent for that purpose. I have a spot on the deck where is always shady and cool. I use this tool box to store my potatoes in that location! It holds a ten pound bag easily, with space in the upper lift-off tray for older potatoes from the previous bag that I want to use first. I also have a small container of desiccant in the tray to absorb moisture. With a layer of crumpled paper in the bottom of the box, the potatoes stay cool and dry. (It can get pretty wet here in the winter.)

Good size tool storage box. Would be easier to use if there weren't so many ribs protruding into the space inside the box. Also, while the tray is usable it would be better without the handle which severely restricts the size of items that can be placed in the tray. I definitely recommend getting the foam insert to keep the tools from banging around.

Holds full size plunge router with room to spare

I needed a case for one of my older Plunge routers that never had a case. As a retired shop teacher and a RVer I take some tools to do projects on the road. This case is one of the few that will hold a full size tool. The tray is 2/3 the width so it still fits with the router in the bottom. I will buy the foam kit to add to this box. I also have a smaller box that locks to this one to that will hold accessories too big for the tray.

This storage box is a perfect size for my Dewalt dcs578 circular saw, batteries and charger. The top tray even fits snugly, which is good so nothing rattles around. I also like the way the handle folds flat, so I can stack other boxes on top.

Great product for the price. I am using this for a car emergency kit box to store in the trunk. Holds all the items perfect and can also be used as a stool to sit on. It is very strong construction. Lid stays latched closed.

A little cheaply made.

Purchased this for a Father’s Day gift. Nice size/depth. The top tray is small but it seems like it’s designed that way so that you can shift it side to side to remove items and not have to return the tray all the way every time you want a tool at the bottom. Good thinking on that part. However, it’s plastic and the locks are too. They look metal but aren’t. The whole box seems flimsy. Idk how many or heavy a tool you can put in it. It looks good but it’s just okay.
