I have to buy another carpet shampooer to replace this one

I bought this less than a year ago & I'm going to have to already replace it . I put the water and the cleaner in the top part, it instantly starts leaking and going all over the floor, my husband took it apart and found a crack in it and he fixed but the fix only lasted one room and then broke again so ... I probably should've gotten the warranty but I figured Bissell was a good enough brand that I wouldn't have to worry about it . I only used it maybe a handful of times . The first couple times I used it were great though ... just doesn't last long.

Leave carpet Clean as new

I love how clean it left my carpet and area rugs. I even did the sofas using the head extension. It is very durable and lightweight comparing to other carpet cleaners.

Terrible

Avoid this carpet cleaner unless you enjoy having to stop to empty the dirty water all the time. I did my living room and hallway and lost count of the number of times I had to stop and empty it or fill the clean water tank. The instructions tell you to keep going back and forth until the solution being pulled up is clear. You can't see anything because of the clunky tanks so it's hard to tell when the water is clear...unless you're plastic man and can stretch around to see it. Doesn't clean the carpet very well either. I had a BISSELL ProHeat Pet for years and loved it but it stopped working and was too old to fix. Missed the 30 day return window by around 12 days because I hadn't had a chance to try it out but that's on me. It seems to be very cheaply made so guessing I'll have to replace it within a year anyway. Apparently I'll have to try a different brand. Very disappointing.

I loved this at first

This is now my second bissell product to overheat and become unusable. I have had this steam cleaner for maybe 1 year and after turning it on to use it yesterday, it started smoking. I quickly turned it off and took the bottom apart and realized a belt was broken. No worries, I ordered a new belt and replaced it. Today, I fixed the belt and turned it on. Same thing happened. I am beyond frustrated because this same thing happened to our vacuum less than a year after purchase. These appliances are not cheap so having to replace them every year is beyond annoying.

Really works well

I have 6 area rugs and a carpeted staircase. I have never cleaned the rugs other than occasional spot cleaning. 2 of the rugs haven't been cleaned in over 20 years (vacuumed yes but never wet cleaned). So I bought the Turboclean Pet XL and it's amazing how much dirt must have been in those rugs. Dirty water was very dark. I'm happy and it doesn't bother me in the slightest that I have to dump out often. Only negative in my view is the weight. I use a Dyson stick vacuum and it's like waving a wand.

Just purchased a new carpet cleaner from Bissel. It was a great price and has attachments for upholstery. I used it right away at my mother's house and the change in the carpeting was amazing. It dried really fast and was so soft on our feet. It highly recommend this cleaner.

I got this a year ago to clean up any minor pet accidents around the home, and I find it has only come with a neverending series of problems.

Use with Caution- Too Powerfull

I use this to clean my carpet and for spilled soda etc on couch cushions. Or, I would. My Main and MAJOR issue is that I live in an apartment so I don't have the highest quality rugs. After a few uses, I noticed a lot stuff gathering in the shield part. I cleaned it ut, feeling, wow, it's really getting the dirt out. But I soon noticed that it was in fact pulling the fibers from the carpet. That's not good. I tried using the attachment in my bedroom and noticed a burning smell. It turned out that the unit was on top of a pair of socks and the spinning brushes had decimated the socks, as in the brushes kept going and there was a huge half moon shaped part missing from both socks. So, beware - you don't want use the attachment unless the unit itself is on a bare floor. I had tried touching the attachment brushes when I first got it, and it nearly took my fingers off. Anyway- too powerful, pretty much wrecked my carpet and can't even use the attachment. Fail, and I'm out the money and still can't clean carpets. And it leaks.

The Bissell is always dependable, it’s ease of use and the price point is reasonable.

SUPER DISAPPOINTED. WATER COLLECTION TANK ISN'T ONE GALLON!

I've had a Bissell Pro Heat Premier carpet cleaner for well over a decade, and I absolutely loved that machine. Unfortunately, the water tank has developed a crack, so I can no longer use it. I had to replace it, so I stayed loyal to Bissell and bought the TurboClean Pet XL. What a mistake!

Dispenses to much solution and water. Leaves carpet too wet.

I wore my Hoover carpet cleaner out and decided to try the Bissell. I absolutely hate it. I am used to having a solution side and a clean water side for rinsing which this does not have. It puts way too much solution on the carpet and leaves way too much on the carpet. I go over it repeatedly to try and dry the carpet.

Clean the carpets great.

The one that I bought did not come with the extra tools.
