Applied to clean, dry, three week old painted walls. Went up very easily, but within a week, starting to fall off the walls, peeling up and not staying up in general. I have had to place thumb tacks at the top in order to keep it from falling down every day! Sad because it does look pretty on the wall. Being in a rental home, I thought this would be a great way to update without making a permanent mess. It might be good for drawers and cupboards to line, but not for the walls. :(
