Malouf Modern Platform Frame

Very easy to put together and sturdy. I love the extra storage it gives in our room. From other reviews we did get pipe insulation (like a pool noodle but dark grey instead of hot pink) to put on the center post and the 2 foot end posts so that we wouldn't stub our toes. The mattress is a little slidy on it if you were to lean against the bed but it doesn't move at all or feel weird when you're on the bed.

Very well built but lacking in some features.

There is no way to capture the mattress on this frame. It slides all over the frame and if you are not careful, it could cause injury. I am forced to make some kind of clamp to attach it to the mattress.

Nice option for foundation.

My son had no problem putting frame together. We did choose to cover the exposed legs with foam pipe insulation to prevent stubbing toes :)

Great platform bed

Great platform bed, very sturdy. So easy to put together, took less than 30 mins. Definitely recommend this platform bed.

A solid and supportive bed frame

I like how sturdy it is and the amount of space underneath for storage. Only downside is that the mattress easily moves around on top of it. There's no sides or corners to keep it in place. I appreciate that the edges of the pieces are slightly rounded so it hurts less when I accidently run into it.

Sturdy frame

Sturdy frame does not fold up if you move around on the bed or sit down too hard. My boys wrestle and jump of the bed and it has held up. Unlike the east asemble bed that folds and gives with every move

Very sturdy!

I really like it, but couldn't give it a five star rating because it needs a slight "lip" on the edges. When you lean on the mattress when making the bed, the mattress slides and shifts easily because the edges are smooth.

Nice! Great storage area and price!

Super easy to put together. Sturdy frame. No screws and bolts. Just slide pieces into place. I love it, and the price is great! I have a Tempurpedic mattress, and it does slide. So, I bought a the narrow 2-inch foundation for underneath. It also saves the mattress from resting directly on the slats over time.

Good investmentment

My platform bed that had wood slats.It broke after 16 years, I did my research and decided to go with the Malouf queen. This has been one of my best investments! It took my son less than 30 min to assemble.It is sturdy, comfortable and looks great! I definitely recommend this heavy duty frame.

A little more design thought to make it perfect

Great construction and easy assembly. The complaint is that the mattress or base will slide on the frame. There should be some kind of "stops" along each edge of the frame to prevent this.

Very very very easy to put together and super sturdy. Being a plus size couple this is great. Its a great height. And took about 15 minutes to put together. Very pleased.

Bizarrely designed

Reasonably sturdy, except for this totally strange design– slats slide down into metal slots on one rail, go across the midline, and slide UP into metal slates on the other side. This means that when you sit anywhere on that side of the bed, slats are of course popping out of there slots all over the place, because gravity. What person would design a bed like this? Was the extra bit tension in the slats worth this obnoxious and predictable downside?

Slat grooves installed backwards at factory

Slat part was put together wrong at the factory. We had to purchase a wrench to take one side apart to correct it. There is nothing to prevent the mattress from Moving on the frame. Seems very sturdy.

Rock Solid Frame

This frame came in a box, very easy to assemble. It has plenty of room underneath for some items you like to stow. It is so solid that both my wife and I can get on the bed it supports and bounce around like kids. No wood here solid powder coated steel, and all the hardware you need with a few extras in a heat sealed package.

Perfect simple frame

This frame was extremely easy to build, and normally I’m not the best at putting together furniture. And it doesn’t make a noise! I’m someone that tosses and turns all night long and FINALLY there’s so creaking noises when I roll over. The only thing is I do recommend an ultra low profile foundation so the mattress has even support on top of the metal slats.

A Lifesaver, truly!

After receiving a bed from another big name retailer that broke in the middle of the night after less than two weeks, finding this frame was a god send! It's been almost a month and it's as solid as it was when it was delivered. Super easy to assemble (maybe 30 min tops)! Comes with everything you need to put it together too, which is an added bonus. If you're looking for an inexpensive, yet solid, bed frame, then this is the one for you!

A Bit Misleading

It does not come assembled. However, the pieces and the instructions are fairly easy to put together and follow. Better attention needs to be put into the descriptions because I'm sure I am not the only one who depends on them heavily when making purchasing decisions.

Misleading description

This frame does not come assembled and is not a “simple unfold”. It comes unassembled and each slat needs to be screwed in on both sides. They provide the tools, but be prepared for tedious assembly. The description of this item is misleading to say the least. That said, the quality of the product is fine and its simplicity is exactly what I was looking for.
