The Uco candelier and candles are a wonderful edition to any campsite, and we even use ours at home when energy saving. This was a good value on the candles.
Suitability:good
Each candle is about 3 inches tall. Other than that, I can't give any relevant feedback yet as I have not tested its claim that it lasts for up to 9 hours.
Fantastic
Brilliant candles with a range of uses from tramping & camping to backyard relaxing to emergency household use.
Wonderful
Got these for my UCO lantern. Wonderful piece of kit, highly recommend!
Love these candles
Great candles, have the large UCO candle holder and puts out a lot of light and surprisingly a good amount of heat. Appalachian makes them easy to order and fast delivery. I’ll be buying more soon!
Expensive candles but the only ones I have found so far that fit into the UCO camping light. I assumed that I would be able to find something at a better price off brand. Othe than the price, they do what they say so no complaints there.
I really like how long there candles burn.
I have been using these candles for years. They are worth every penny. They do burn for approximately 9 hours. Great for camping and night walks. Really safe to use in the forest and your home.
I o lamp
This is my second icon lamp. My first Id had for what seemed like ever until a cow came through a fence !! and walked through where I was fishing smashing my uco. Hope this one lasts as long as the old one. Paul
Decent!
Decided to buy this after watching some YouTube reviews about heating small spaces..ie car, and stealth camping. Nicely made product! Perhaps a little pricey as it's made in china and the candles are quite expensive too. It does give out a decent amount of heat though. Better than burning gas etc in a small space. I'd say about 90% of the heart is radiated upwards so you don't have any issues with over heating things to the side.. which is good in a small space. The top gets very hot! Overall great product! For winter I'd keep one in the car just in case you couldn't get home ie stranded somehow for a few hours. Decent natural light and a bit of heat! I'd recommend this:)
Perfect Candles for Emergency or Camping
Candles came without scratches, dents, or melting. Wicks at the right height and should be great when I need to use them. I bought them for the lantern, but if I wanted to use one without the lantern, I could. Happy customer-they shipped quickly.
Great Candles For Emergency or Camping
These candles are a nice little addition to your preps and possibly a camping bag. They last as long as they say and I would say they are a pretty good price. Combined with the UCO Candle Lantern this is capable of lighting a room or tent to the point you can see what you are doing. I have boiled water over this candle before and you could do it if you had to in an emergency but don't rely on it as your main source. The lantern also makes a great tool in the winter, light the candle and warm up your hands over top with the glass globe protecting it from the wind. Nice little luxury item.
tent candlles
I have been using this product since early 90's.
Your new UCO candle
Each wax nugget fully provisional of a single candle-power, with continuous radiance of both full-spectrum visual radiance and tactile heat energy.
Great product!
Besides providing some lighting, in their UCO candle holder, this set up will provide some heat to a small one man tent in the winter. The fact that a single candle will last 9 hours is very good and in the holder, the open flame is protected from getting directly in contact with any material. The design of the holder is such that if it were to fall over, the candle is snuffed out!
Reliable headlamp
I have owned many headlamps including a very old Tikkina. Some of my older lamps are failing so have purchase a few more of the Tikkina since it is the only headlamp that is still working from my older models. Hoping the newer Tikkina is as good as the old one I still use.
Fantastic candle
We have used these candles for a long time now when camping. We use them with the UCO lantern holder and leave outside the tent at night to provide some light, they burn all night, great item.
They also fit the Coleman Candle Lantern
I bought these to see if they would fit my Coleman candle lantern as coleman seem to have stopped selling them in the UK. They do fit. The lantern provides little light, it is one candle after all. If you are hoping to illuminate your camp then this is not going to cut it. I you want to see just how much light these produce then light a tea light and turn of your lights. that's about the same amount of illumination. I like these lanterns but they are overpriced for what they do. Having a spring loaded candle is hardly necessary after all and at 20 quid for the lantern (UCO) and 2 quid a candle there are cheaper and more effective ways to illuminate. As long as you understand the limitations of these types of lantern then they are ok. I acquired my lantern from a Millets that were selling them off at a fiver. They come with one candle and they didn't have any spares which is probably why they were being sold off. I'm happy with the lantern for a fiver as it is like a little brother to my Coleman petrol lantern. I'll be looking to make a mould of one of the new candles so that I can make my own in the future. I gave 4 stars because I think that the candles are expensive but they work in both UCO and Coleman.
Not Just For Light
These candles, used in conjunction with an UCO Candlelier, are the best thing to have during power outages and camping trips. I use them for camping in the spring and fall in Wisconsin. I put out 3 Candleliers at night and leave them out all night. They warm the tent, keep condensation from forming on the inside, and when I wake up I put a small kettle of water on top of one of the Candlelier and it heats it up enough for coffee and dehydrated food. If you camp or need something for heat and light in the event of an emergency, these candles in an UCO candle holder will do a great job for you. I keep 2 in my emergency winter bag that I keep in my Jeep. If I get stranded, I'll be warm, have warm drinks and either soup or a dehydrated meal to keep me alive and comfortable. So many uses for a candle. Well, it's not just a candle.
Reliable
I find the UCO candles for my UCO lantern very reliable. It does not shine as brightly as a rechargeable light or a flashlight but it does not need a battery and it doesn't need to be recharged. It is very useful for brownouts. The UCO candle that came with my lantern still hasn't run out.
