Great product!
Easy to apply , great product that combines waterproofing and densifying/Strengthening concrete. I applied it on the concrete slab of my unfinished basement. Without discoloring or changing the look of the concrete, it waterproofed it successfully (Tested after 36 hours pouring water over the floor), but the main reason for purchasing the product is reducing Radon in the basement. Although we did not have a significant level of radon (1.2) , mostly due to micro cracks on the floor, It was successfully reduced to 0.4! Great customer service: I called the company to make some inquiries as I was shopping around for a product and the director of Ghost shield , Mr. Lou Plante guided me through getting the right product and instructed me how to do the application. Can’t go wrong with these guys.
Very impressed by this product. I got it because I want my cement to be stronger, not to get cracked, and also not to absorb any water. The application process was simple; just sprayed and then sprayed a second layer. It dried quickly. Water is not going through. Cement not cracking in a long time. I am very impressed.
A teriffic sealant!
I had a new shop built with 2400 sq feet of interior concrete floor and 700 sq feet exterior. I used 2 gallons to seal the whole thing. My concrete is now water and stain resistant and cleans up easily. The great thing about this is that after mixing it with water, you can just spray it on with a pump bottle sprayer. I found that it is best to get the second coat on quickly. It works better if the first coat is still a bit wet, so if you have a large area to cover, work in sections so you can do the first and second coats before moving on to a new area.
Works great!
This product did amazingly with sealing my concrete driveway and my brick steps. I wish I could find the picture with the comparison of with and without sealant. I used another brand on part and didn't see much effect so I bought this product. What a difference! You can see the puddles of water sitting on the concrete. I am hoping it helps keep mildew, etc. down. As for longevity, It has only been on for a month so I will update in a year if I remember. I have neighbors that had their driveways cleaned about the same time so I can compare. My only complaint is that it doesn't come in a smaller size. I had to leave a porting of my curb unsealed because I ran out. It is too expensive to by a whole other container for that.
This thing worked so fast that by the time I did the first row, came down to the second row, it was already beading at the connecting middle. By the time I put on the second coat, it was beading on top so, Don't know how much it helped to have put that 2nd coat and then I had to sponge it along and it just stayed on top. Worked great. Now the earth worms that climb up there are easy to wash off along with all other debris. But I also notice that the water beading up on it just basically lets it dry on there and the calcifications are showing on the concrete. Plus the water just stays there until it evaporates so the concrete stays wet longer. I'll see what I notice when winter and snow arrives this year.
Very disappointed
I did a tremendous amount of research looking for a sealer to use in a new 1000sqft garage addition. Put it down on brand new fully cured concrete and at first I thought it was great. Then I noticed it’s a bit sticky. And if you use any form of an aggressive cleaner on it. It becomes really sticky. I’m currently researching how to remove it chemically without grinding the floor. I know it will be said. “Well he did it wrong”. I doubt it unless they directions and tech support were wrong.
Please contact the seller for recommendations of which product to use.
Anything it set on my basement floor was causing a white power to form under it. I think I was getting a combination of salt and mildew. I applied two coats per the instructions. after a few days of curing I could tell that water would bead up on the floor so I set a box on the floor and after a few days I still was getting the salt underneath.I contacted the seller to discuss my problem to learn that the 9500 will not waterproof is the vapor hydro-static pressure is to high. In other words I have to much water under my slab for this product.Do your self a favor and do a moister vapor test first and then contact the seller for their recommendation.
Water Beads as Expected, Easy to Apply, Easy to Clean-up
We had a particularly wet and windy winter this year and it's been about five years since we've cleaned the driveway and pavers side section. It took about 2 days to pressure wash the entire driveway area, roughly about 1,500 sq. feet. After doing extensive research about concrete sealing products, we selected GhostShield, Lithi-Tek 9500 Concrete Sealer concentrate. The product comes in a 1-gallon container that makes 5 gallons of product to apply to your project. After letting the driveway dry for a couple of days after washing it, we were ready to apply the Lithi-Tek 9500. Using a 1-gallon pump sprayer, we mixed 1 gallon at a time and applied the sealer in sections in order to follow the manufacturer's directions of a wet-on-wet application. The Lithi-Tek 9500 went on easy and soaked into the concrete quickly. The application process was easy and quick; we were able to finish the project within 90 minutes. The driveway and pavers remained their original color and we had no blotchy spots. We are very happy with the outcome.Once finished, clean-up was easy. With some warm water and soap, we pumped the water through the tank and sprayer head and the pump is ready for the next project. Some notes on the mixing and application process:Mixing: Follow the directions: add the 4 cups to your pump sprayer. Then, using the same measuring container, measure and add water, instead of just filling the pump to the 1 gallon mark to get the correct ratio. It would help if you have someone mix a batch as you go so you could maintain wet surfaces without interruptions to mix a new batch each time. Or use a larger sprayer. We only had the single 1-gallon.Application: It’s important to apply the second coat while the first coat is still wet. Otherwise, if it becomes dry, the second coat will bead-up on the surface rather than soak into the concrete.Lastly: I would recommend that if possible, apply the product when your surface is shaded or at it’s coolest temperature to give yourself time to maintain the wet-on-wet application process to ensure good sealing. The first two photographs are the cleaned driveway and cement pavers that were coated. The next two photographs are the test images. In both images, you can plainly see that the water beads up on the driveway beautifully. We will see how the product holds-up across the summer and into next winter. We have high hopes of an easy to clean driveway next Spring.

So far I’m impressed with this product. I just had a new driveway poured and immediately sealed the driveway with this. Application is easy, I just mixed it 4:1 water to Ghostshield and used a garden sprayer to apply it. I sprayed it until the concrete turned gray and let it dry. The next day I put on a second application. Now water literally beads up on my driveway. When the contractor did my dirt work afterwards they got some mud on my driveway. It sprayed off easily with my garden hose.
Great Stuff!
I applied the Lithi-Tek 9500 to my driveway 4 years ago after a thorough power washing. I was impressed by the way this product seals the concrete, hardens it, and provides a significant water shed each time it got wet. It was fun to see our driveway always looking "dry" after and during a rain when all the other concrete in our neighborhood turned the usual dark grey, as concrete typically does when wet. I did notice that when I power washed my driveway this time, I did not see nearly the amount of concrete skim coat being washed away compared to my initial power washing in 2018. I attribute this to the hardener that conditioned my concrete in 2018. Given that we live in an HOA community and have to keep the black mold at bay on concrete, I will no doubt use this product again in 3-4 years when I need to remove that black mold and reseal/harden my concrete drive and sidewalk. It's pricey but well worth the cost and effort. By contrast, my next door neighbor power washed his driveway 3 months ago and did NOT seal it. It is now quickly reverting back to the black mold he had before power washing.
worked great on my driveway and sidewalk
I highly recommend this product, as it is adding years of life to my old my concrete slabs. I used a powerwasher [1] with detergent [2] to clean the driveway, side driveway, and side walk. Then on I used a Lithium silicate densifier and waterproofer [3] with a spray pump [4] to apply a penetrating concrete sealant. The sealant needed to be diluted with distilled water [5]. What I needed all along
Used on landscape blocks to prevent stains, mildew, and mold. Application was best with a brush with uneven surfaces of the blocks (paint roller did not work well). I expected a more dense liquid, but flowed like water during application. Followed instructions and went for 2nd coat a few minutes after 1st coat. 2nd coat started to bead up immediately and run off the blocks. Great to see the product working within minutes! I've tried other sealant for same blocks and did not work as well or last. This 9500 works! Price is intimidating but reasonable when you realize it is concentrate and dilutes to 5 gallons.
UV resistant protection
I originally went to a professional concrete products store to find a UV resistant sealer for a pool/spa area. The store did not have a UV resistant product it would recommend and what I had purchased from them previously for interior concrete floors in my barn that had worked exceptionally well was not UV resistant. I asked them about this product. They reviewed the information on the HD website and thought it would work for me so I purchased it. I just applied it a couple of days ago. It is a concentrate you mix with water so I applied it with a pump sprayer. It almost immediately soaked in the concrete, the second coat even showed signs of beading; the stuff is almost immediately waterproof. Time will tell how well it continues to protect but it was easy to apply, did not change the appearance of the concrete and seems to be working. I used half the gallon of concentrate to seal a 16 ft by 23 ft concrete pad. There is no information on coverage on the product but since it is just like water (no viscosity at all) you don't get a lot of coverage out of a gallon of concentrate -- that's my only negative.
Easy To Use-Follow Instructions!
I purchased 2 gallons of this product for my new home in which 2 areas were of concern to me: garage floor and crawlspace floor. I was concerned about moisture wicking up through the concrete and radon seeping in. The Lithi-Tek 9500 is labeled to minimize both. In addition, the "densifying" ability intrigued me. I wanted a garage floor that repels moisture, stains, etc from various activities and have the protection applied when the concrete surface was new. Same for the crawlspace floor.Once these 2 areas of concrete were poured, I waited about 4+ weeks (refer to the instructions re: "green concrete") and had everything ready: 2 sprayers, bottles of distilled water and a floor brush to spread it. Although it was newly poured concrete, I swept it clean and sprayed the first coat. It's a learning experience as the first coat was sucked in like a sponge so when it was time for the second coat, the floor was damp dry with no puddles.I went a bit faster on the second area and was able to spray 2 good coats on before the prior coat dried.Lesson 1: be ready to spray the second coat on before the first coat disappears in the slab.Lesson 2: in areas with minimal air exchanges (e.g. crawlspaces) I would recommend a dehumidifier after allowing the material to set for a few days. The absorbed solution evaporated over a period of weeks so the cardboard boxes I placed on the surface became damp on the bottom. This was my naivete as there is no longer any moisture coming up through either slab on which Lithi-Tek 9500 was applied.I have a continuous radon detector on order: Airthings View Plus and will update when I have some long term data. I am hoping that this will mitigate some of the Radon seeping up through the slabs.
Lithi-Tek 9500 adds life to your concrete!
I first used the Lithi-Tek 9500 sealant to protect an area of my concrete driveway that was starting to experience some surface crumbling. This product stopped the crumbling dead. I also noticed that the treated area stayed cleaner than the unsealed portion of the driveway. I just purchased another bottle of Lithi-Tel 9500 Ultra Concentrate to cover the remaining area of my driveway to make it stronger and more resistant to dirt and mold. This stuff is so easy to use. I have a one gallon sprayer. Just mix one part sealant with four parts water. No mess or sprayer clogs. Apply product to clean dry surface. Be careful not to apply too heavily; don't allow it to pool or run. Spray a 2nd application before 1st application dries completely. Great product!
Definitely recommend this product as it was affordable, easy to apply, and works as advertised. I...

Worth every penny - great sealant and water repellent
I've used different sealers in the past but was displeased with their water repellent capability. I was impressed when I finally tried Lithi-Tek's 9500 on my concrete patio area. The price tag but it is worth every penny. The concentrate yields 4 gallons. It is very easy to use with a garden sprayer. Don't forget to clean and dry the surface before using this product. If you follow the directions of mixing 4:1 (4 parts water to one part concentrate) and simply spray it in a uniform manner, the results are great. Again, very impressed. You will notice it start to dry quickly so I suggest small small sections at a time and keep an eye on it so you can do the second coat before the first dries. You should do a second coat while the other is still wet so move quickly and consistently as you spray this down. The product is clear, has little to no odor, and has repelled water (which is what drove me to buy this) extremely well. I plan to buy more of this product to do other areas of my concrete. Now that I've used the product, I will not buy any other sealer. After I sprayed the sealer down and let it dry thoroughly, I showed my husband what I had done and he was impressed with the water beading off the concrete. I love this stuff!
Lithi-Tek Must Be Applied Quickly as WaterProofing is Fast
Lithi-Tek 9500 Ultra Concentrate - 1 Gallon: I found that the sealer would begin to have water-proofing effects within 1 minute of application. Any Lithi-Tek on my shoes when I was walking around could be clearly seen when the sealer was sprayed over those areas for the 1st time. Footprints could be seen where the sealer could not penetrate into the untreated concrete after only a few minutes. The small amount of sealer on the bottom of my shoes was enough to prevent proper 1st application in spots that I had stepped on. I could not see footprint spots two days later when it rained, as even a small amount of sealer caused the rain to bead up everywhere..Other areas where the concrete was porous and permeable would accept a second coat with no problem(as long as they were still wet(had not dried). Any areas/sections that had a tiny amount of overspray when applying, on one section at a time, would not accept new sealer - as sealing action was already taking place in just a few minutes..My worry is that any areas that did not get proper penetration will not hold up for long, and may not seal after a short time....While spraying, ensure that each section is quickly covered(sprayed/applied) as even a minute of delay will cause issues with penetration and the concretes ability to accept the sealer. You can see where you stopped spraying and started up again a minute later. Be quick for proper application..Concrete areas that are fairly dense, from perhaps mineralization over time, or maybe from initial compaction when the concrete was smoothed during the original pour of the slab, may not readily accept the sealer. Even a thin coat of sealer was adaquate for initial waterproofing. Time will tell for longevity..I applied when the temperature was about 65deg F, and the humidity about 30 percent. I suspect that the low humidity caused thin amounts of sealer(overspray and foot print areas, etc) to dry quickly, causing penetration issues with successive application coats.

This is an excellent product, it sprays on quickly and easily with a good quality garden type sprayer. We found it works best if one person is spraying and the other is back rolling with a 12 inch roller, working very quickly. Any overspray that dries such as if you don’t get back to the leading edge and keep it wet then it quickly creates a moisture barrier that won’t allow any more absorption, but of course it’s only doing its job. It does leave some fine white residue that can be wiped up afterwards Particularly if you leave it on too heavy.
A superior concrete sealer
I had a new concrete driveway put in just before Winter last year. The last thing the contractor did was applied a penetrating sealer, which is supposed to prevent sand "pops" from the effect of freeze-thaw cycles. In the Spring I noticed quite a few of those "pops". I contacted my contractor, and he said that, although it was not recommended to apply a second coat of the sealer so quickly, he told me that because it was sealed, I could scrub the driveway with tri sodium Phosphate, and lightly power wash to remove the previously applied sealer, and then reseal. I did that and bought 5 gallons of the same sealer, and it seemed to get a good penetration, but I was short by about 2 gallons to finish. I then discovered Ghostshield invisible sealer, and although it is 1 gallon, the concentrate makes 5 gallons when mixed properly with water. I finished sealing my concrete with this product according to instructions, and it went on easily and seemed to penetrate the concrete better than the previous product. I could not immediately see any difference in the finish of the concrete, but after the first rain, the Ghostshield sealed part did a better job of repelling the water. I will not be sure until after another Winter, but from the looks of it, this seems to be the superior product. I am very happy I used it.
