We're very happy with the two matching hardwood bookcases we clear-varnished in a day and assembled in an hour each this month. The kits arrived flawless, all parts provided, all pre-drilled holes perfectly positioned, all pieces protected from shipping damage by excellenf packing. We suggest only that the maker change from from foam plastic packing to carboard (recyclable) to reduce waste that filled our trash can. We very much appreciate when H Depot will deliver to us.

This bookcase is very well made and attractive. The solid-wood butcher-block style of construction is sturdy and attractive. It's easy to assemble with no gluing needed. I've built furniture and was impressed with the tight fitting joints and smooth, sanded finish. Much better than the particle board units one sees in furniture stores.

I will never order anything from Home Depot again. I ordered what I thought was an unfinished assembled book shelf and what they left was a 70 pound box of parts that is still laying on my living room floor waiting for the century when I might have time and help to put it together. What kind of a place doesn't MENTION in the description that the unfinished book shelf is not assembled? Well, they got the last of my money. I'm done with them forever!

I chose this bookcase for my home office. It is true to the description of wood and having adjustable shelves. I would like to suggest having two people handle the purchase upon delivery because it is heavy. We didn’t have any issues putting it together and the paint went on smoothly and dried quickly which was done in the garage. I would highly recommend this product and will be purchasing another one as well.

Very well made, Fairly easy to assemble, good materials, except smell of glue. Probably formaldehyde, ugh! H.D. Offered to take it back, but we solved the problem by applying SealCoat. Easy, fixed smell and looks good. The back is difficult. Woodwork experience is helpful. Unit looks great!

When I picked up bookcase, I was a little concerned. Box looked rough, it was beat-up pretty bad. I was relived after unpacking. I put on two coats of polyurethane, and light sanding. Good instructions, all hardware included, and smooth assemble. This thing is rock solid, and just what my son needed for his books.

Nice bookcase. Well made of fine wood. Very pleased with its construction. I did have to re-engineer some additional shelving peg holes in the sides since I wanted to be able to make several of the shelves slightly larger than the standard that was used. Other than than, very pleased with it. I pickled mine. Wish they had other matching products such as double legal file cabinets.
