Very good quality
This is a well made product fit perfectly in kitchen sink Since we don't use garbage disposal, it really does a great job keeping food from getting into drain.
You need this, even if you didn't know it.
works well, better than the stopper included with the basket, especially when straining out food particles you would rather not have go down the drain. A plus it when I use it in the other side of the sink, when draining soapy water, the suds don't back up into the sink.
Great quality for the price
Not 5 stars because this is not a 5-star product. It's cheap, but holds well. Works great for the price. Replace it every year and you'll be fine. No complaints.
Inexpensive Drain Protection That Works
Food scraps sometimes inadvertently enter kitchen sink drains, causing clogs. These screens help minimize clogging problems. We haven't had a drain clog since we started using them. They're sometimes a nuisance to clean, but the cleaning task is a small price to pay for preventing plumbing problems.
Spend a couple extra bucks and get a better one.
My product arrived flattened and bent out of shape. Bent back to a usable form and it works just fine except it slides around the sink with the slightest touch. Should have had a rubber ring. Seems kind of cheaply made but then again you get what you pay for.

Handy little Gadget. Use it in the shower less clogs. Doesn't hurt that they're stainless steel too!
Mesh Drain Strainer
I love this little drain strainer. So easy to just drop in, it catches all little bits and pieces of food off of dishes you're washing and when the strainer is full, just lift it, dump it in the trash basket, put it back. So much better than the old style basket strainers.
Excellent!
This is perfect. I love that it is USA made. I highly recommend it. I needed something to catch my hair when I washed it under the kitchen faucet. Also it is great for catching tiny particles of food that come off when I rinse dishes and pans.

This strainer is perfect for the sink as there is not a garbage disposal in place so everything has to be caught before it goes down the drain. Not only did the package come with one, it came with two in case something happens to the first one. So very happy with it.

The strainer construction looks good but its too tall to fit in our kitchen sink. The description doesn't provide the height so couldn't check before buying. And when we put the strainer in the sink, it sits above the edge making it useless. Tried adjusting the mesh but still won't settle.

I bought this because my teenage son is too lazy to walk four more feet to scrape his plate in the garbage. He insists on clogging the kitchen sink. Now as a single mom, I really enjoy coming home from work to a clogged sink. It's way better than drinking a girlie drink sitting by the pool in Mexico, or going out for a trail ride with my horse. It's the best! Needless to say after 3 days without a drain is tiring and gross, but I am stubborn and will not give up. I don't know how many times I took apart the kitchen plumbing fittings. Finally, I climbed the roof and snaked it with my impact driver and voila. I won. Now to avoid the aforementioned problem, don't have children! Or, you can purchase the DANCO 4-1/2 in. Mesh Kitchen Sink Strainer before they can walk.

We tried a different screen and it wasn't ideal. This one is much better. We think it's probably the best purchase we've made this year.
Does Not Fit Standard Drain Well
As the title says, this strainer does not fit the drain well. Kitchen sink drains are fairly standard in specs so it shouldn't be too difficult to make one that is a fairly close fit. This one misses the mark. I have seen others that have a wider top flange that really improves the fit or at least directs material headed to the drain into the strainer. This one wobbles around in the sink drain and will allow particles to bypass it. I cannot find one with a wider top flange but that would solve all of my issues.
Steel Drain Screen—fairly effective
This drain screen fits my sink drain and catches those annoying bits that clog the pipe. It cleans easily, and so far has resisted rust.

Last year be we called a plumber for stopping up kitchen drain. I saw these on the web site. We took the metal strainers that came with the sink out. The closed when you touch them to move it or when you wanted them closed you couldn't get the thing to hold water. I keep these in sink at all times. Surprise at how much food was going down the drain. No wonder had to call plumber. They catch everything. Easy to empty in the garbage. They work great.

Good product. Make sure u but some sort of scrub brush. Food gets stuck in small holes and won’t come out with a tap. You’ll need to brush it to get clean. Maybe even a hard toothbrush. Over all does the job.

Added one of these to our sink with the disposal - it was eating measuring spoons. Wasn't really happy with how it fit - overall diameter was fine but it kept sliding around, didn't stay centered. Finally figured out the secret - deform the screen to fit the disposal. Use your two thumbs to bend the screen to fit the ID of the disposal - turn 20 degrees and repeat. Keep going around - make the screen fit the hole! Like magic - fits fine!

Switched out the strainer that came with my sink drain with this one and I love it. My other strainer would constantly plug the sink even when I'd have it positioned not to (I guess the water stream would turn it). Also, this screens out finer particles of food, so keeping the pipe even clearer.
Great at reducing septic tank pump outs.
I Am on a septic tank and (knock on wood) and it's never needed pumping. I attribute part of that good fortune to the fact I use these in the kitchen sink. I also don't have a dishwasher. These catch a huge amount of stuff. You do have to clean them. I also replace them about every 6 months because they become slightly warped from me tapping the food particles out of them into the trash can. These are shaped well so they get a good seal and trap those particles and the mesh is small enough to catch all of it and water has great flow through. To keep them clean I use an old tooth brush and some cleaner and rinse them. It's worth it to me.
