Buy it
It does the job
Unit support made easy.
I stallation was pretty easy and quick.
The manufactured home window frame is very thin.
This supports the air conditioner very well.
Purchase it needed
So far, I haven't used it.
Yes, you probably need to buy the bracket
Easy to install, although a little pricey. The AC we purchased was $239 and this mounting bracket was +$40! Still, I thought I should use the bracket recommended, and it worked well.

Nice bracket. Thank you
Nice bracket. Thank you
Works as advertised.
This device is designed for windows that have a proper sill, mine did not, but I managed to install it. It is sturdy, simple design, works great.

Functional with a little alteration
Purchased and installed today April 14, 2023 from Lowes. Expensive for an A/C platform. Used to support a 2021 10K BTU Frigidaire unit. Needed to make some alterations when mounting, not all plastic pieces have to be used, just those you deem necessary. Wedged a piece of wood/ shimmy to prop up the support. The rubber boot slides off the vinyl house siding. Bought some foam stripping which was worthless.
Secure and compact. Not perfect, though.
Good bracket to use. Much better than the "universal" one that is not a permanent mount. I have a couple of the universal ones, but they do not work well. They don't fit my older windows or newer windows. This one does, but I still needed some shim/spacers to properly mount. It is very secure, though.
Instructions are difficult to follow.
I thought I would like the compact, sturdy-looking appearance of this item, but I never got out of the starting gate. Instructions were difficult to follow, provided poor explanations. Unhelpful pictures that seemed to be out of place with the ordered steps. I read instructions through 3 or 4 times and then began measuring and drilling - to include punching a nail hole through aluminum "wrap" that mostly enveloped my window sash. After installing the concave base piece, I found the window frame would not close. This was probably incidental as no promise was made that it would. Still, it would be nice if frame did close and thus allow leaving this part of support apparatus in place year round. After fooling with this contraption for over an hour, darkness began to fall, temps did not dip. I installed my a/c the way I did the previous year, not able to incorporate the support mechanism I had hoped I purchased here. Believe me, this was not the first item I looked at to add necessary support for my a/c vs allowing my window fram e to bear that load alone.
don't trust returned items
I bought two, both boxes had been opened. I took them home, instructions missing, looked them up on internet. The universal support bracket had very large screws in them that I didn't want to use, so I returned both. The woman taking the items back knew there were things missing in the boxes, she taped them up and put them back on the floor.
How hard is it to write a manual that makes sense?
UX Design is about a designer/manufacturer understanding the starting point, and the desired ending point of their end-user or customer. When the actual "product" you are designing is just (2) pieces of metal and some screws (unassembled) - the User Manual should be considered a component or part of that product. The manual should be just as important as the screws holding it all together. Why? because TIME is a valuable thing, and all it would have taken are a few sentences at the beginning of each "assembly step" to give someone a better understanding of how the bracket actually works, instead of relying on interpreting a 1"x"1" ambiguous "window- side view" diagram.
Very flimsy
Not worth the money. This is the 2nd one purchased. The first is of no use for that new a/c. So want to return the 2nd one that I had ordered for 2nd a/c.
