Exceeds expectations 2
I purchased this Teton Sports Outfitter Pad XXL along with the Teton Sport Outfitter Cot XXL to have a portable bed for when I travel, because motel / hotel beds suck and they all kill my back, and I am lucky if I get 4 hours of sleep on them! This cot and pad exceeded my expectations and is worth every penny that I spent! I slept better on this cot than I do on my own bed at home! My wife didn't believe me, so she slept on it, and she agrees and now I purchased one for her! I am 6'1" and 210 pounds and I have plenty of room and my wife is 5'4" 130 pounds and she wanted the same size cot XXL as I purchased for myself because she loves the extra room this size cot has, and her cats can sleep with her on it! I love this cot, and it looks like it should last me a lifetime! I would defiantly purchase this again if I had to!
Unsurpassed quality
Teton Sports definitely chooses the highest quality materials, along with real life experience to make great products! Completely satisfied with finish details and flawless XXL Camp Sleeping Pad, it is soft and comfortable, just as advertised. Takes the edge off and should aid with insulation. This currently lays on top of the Rustic Ridge XXL Camp Cot. Read that review as well.
pad review
Overall I am ok with the pad. Cannot roll it up to its original size or even close. Wish the foam was a bit firmer which would add to the difficulty in roll up however. The outer fabric is good, not very noisy and seems pretty durable. Surprised at the amount of dampness on the bottom after a nights use We are using your cots as well so they must not be very air permeable. All in all they are comfortable. The wooden whatever it is in the compartment on the end of the pad broke the first time we used it. Easy to replace but still.
Adventure Sleeping Pad
The delivery process was wonderful. As far as sleeping comfort goes, these sleeping pads are the best. Not only are they perfect for camping they are great for the grandkids sleeping on the floor too. Highly recommended. Thanks for a great product and service.
Not what I expected
We own the XL cots so thought these would be perfect. They do fit our cots well and I like that they can be attached to the cots however…the pads are very thin. When you lie on it it’s easily compressed. If they were half the price I wouldn’t mind as much but they offer little cushion for the price. I can see the compression of the pad occurring from being rolled up. The pad material is not dense enough unfortunately. I’m considering the self inflating pads even though those aren’t a perfect fit for the cot.
All kinds of goodness
I've tried a dozen or more sleeping pads with my XXL cot and Teton XXL -35 degree sleeping bag. No really, that many. Thermarest, Ozark trail, a mish-mash of others. I don't want to even think how much money I've spent, ugh... what a waste..
Brr!
Folks it was Cold out there! 39 degrees Fahrenheit! But when I rolled onto the new mattress, I knew it would be ok. By morning it was 33 degrees and there was frost on my two sleeping bags. But no frost on me instead I was toasty and warm!
Best pad for XXL cot and bag year-round
I'm a Scoutmaster of two scout troops so I camp a lot. After a particularly cold winter camporee, I set out to find the best cot setup I could. I started with the Teton/Cabelas XXL cot, this Teton XXL pad, and a Cabelas Magnum 44 0F bag. I have slept year-round on this setup for over five years including week-long stays at summer camp and it is the best ever. I even use it for guests at my house and they are amazed at how comfortable it is. The pad is thick, it lets no cold through, and the little pocket holds things like ear plugs, mosquito netting, flashlights, or a phone. I can set up the cot, pad, and bag (complete with pillow and hat rolled inside) in less than 5 mins with tear down the same (sometimes I don't even use a tent..). My scouts accuse me of glamping but I just ask "do you want a happy Scoutmaster or a grumpy one?".
Super comfy with my xxl cot and xxl sleeping bag.
I bought this cot and pad for my husband as I have this cot and super comfy pad myself. Side by side its like having one big king size, only his tossing does not wake me. It's quite, no sqeeking. I'm 5'5 so there plenty of room for extra pillows and space...with that said it's also up off the ground a bit. I have to turn over to get up and out of it. Forget sitting up to the side and jumping up... my feet don't touch the ground. But the best nights sleep ever so we have no complaints. And personal gear, clothes and dog beds fit under the cots with room to spare. I bring rugs and set up a nightstand from storage boxes, solar lights, heater and privy.... popup kitchen with hot coffee in the morning....I don't mind tent glamping if it's comfortable.
[Rewarded Review] A bed away from my bed.
The cot is quit comfortable and so easy to set up. The little red bar to assist with the last notch is perfect. It is so effortless to put tension on the cot mat. I was concerned at first about 2 of the end plugs coming out so easy when I take it apart but I figured out they are supposed to come out. It is one end on both the poles and they come out so you can slide them through the fabric without it catching. Put them back in to slide them in the fabric without catching. Side to side it is very stable but top to bottom it wiggles but is to be expected. The supports are for side to side not up and down. I put the Teton cot mat on mine (purchased separately) and it all fits and functions perfectly. Overall I would highly recommend this cot. Oh yeah, I'm 6'6" tall and 200 lbs and I had plenty of room top to bottom and side to side.
Worked great
While this review is for the pad, it begins with the corresponding cot. I purchased the XXL cot earlier this summer, for a camping trip. The cot was very comfy, and I wasn’t sure if I needed the pad. When I was later invited to go with a friend to a cabin with bunk beds, but no bedding, I bought the XXL pad to sleep on. Two days of rain kept us close to the cabin, and there was napping! The pad was thick and dense enough to keep me comfortable throughout the nights and naps. The compression straps allowed me to repack the pad in the box for storage when I returned home. I have a sketchy lower back, and felt fine after waking. The pad gave decent support. Remember, I was sleeping on a sheet of plywood, not the cot I bought earlier this year. I can’t wait to use them together.
5 Stars
I cannot begin to explain how excited I am to have this. First of all, it is very sturdy. You can wiggle from side to side with no movement and from front to bottom with minimal movement. I had no squeaking/creaking from the fabric on the frame. I absolutely love how heavy-duty/sturdy and well stitched the fabric is. Double stitching on the edge stress points. Very spacious for a 5'6" 200lb girl. While side sleeping without a pad might be a tad uncomfortable, honestly it is not bad compared to previous experiences with comparable Ozarks/Coleman cots. When collapsed in the bag, it is an easy carry, I only wished it was zipped to prevent spiders from making it's home inside. It is also the perfect height for me when sitting to have feet planted on the ground. As well as having storage underneath for a standard size utility bin. Combined with the absolutely fantastically made organizer, you will not regret this purchase. Youtube reviews were spot on with how awesome this cot is. I only wish I could afford to buy the camp pads. I would probably give equally glowing review.
Great mat!
Pairs very well with the slumberjack big cot I bought (made of all steel, not like the Teton 50/50.) The memory foam is 2 and1/2 inches thick, just the right ratio of firmness and cushioning. The cover is a zip up heavy duty canvas (for easy removal of memory foam.) There are storage pockets built in to the canvas cover, and a special zip pocket at the head to completely zip up your pillow.

Purchased the XXL cot and this pad specifically for my wife's comfort (she has arthritis). Wifey doesn't tent camp in general ' but I do. Recently visited Acadia NP in Maine for 5 days (2 in tent, 3 at hotel) and had campsite for 1st 2 nights before hotel accommodations in Bar Harbor. Wifey was amazed she was comfy and slept well. She LOVED the XXL cot and pad in our humongous tent during the stay at Blackwood's campground within the NP. The XXL version is def a full size bed and with the mattress a non-camper had her first glamping experience. We have a 6 person tent for the 2 of us, make sure you have the space. Really nice gear especially for those who want/need extra comfort while outdoors. Great product ' very satisfied
