I love these candles, but ...

After years of happy candles in my windows, two of them do not work this year. I had to decide which two windows would not get candles since I'm feeling a little resentful that I have to buy four candles to replace the two duds, when I was thinking I could just replace the bulbs. Oh well. They are lovely, but I'll be looking elsewhere for replacements. If you don't mind replacing candles instead of bulbs, I would recommend them. Otherwise, no.

The Second set of these candles

We had a set of these candles and decided to order another set so that we don't have to use plug in window candles and so that the lights are the same throughout the house. They are very sturdy, don't need to be taped to the window sill like cheaper candles and batteries last the season.

Owned for 15 years. Please bring back the replacement bulbs!

These candles are low-tech but relatively trouble-free. I agree with another reviewer who wanted the LED replacement bulbs, and white rather than yellow bulbs are vastly better-looking. Some adjustments may be required to the wire battery holder to make certain it contacts the conducting area on the bulb if the candle does not immediately work, but it is an easy fix to just pull it up a bit. These take two, rather than 3, batteries, but are very bright from the outside, esp. in white. These were a great purchase, esp. calculated over 15 years!

I had placed candles in my neighbors windows. They were very dim and I didn’t like them at all. The candles I bought at Wayfair are so much brighter and make me happy when I see them. Very pleased.

I would buy these again with one exception

These work beautifully. You used to sell the replacement bulbs. Why did you quit.

Window candles bulb replacement

As seems to have been the experience of the person reviewing before me, I love the candles and have had them for many years, but it doesn't seem Plow & Hearth seems the replacement bulbs which are needed as the years go on. I sent several communications asking about it but haven't received any response. If they are no longer available I wish the description for the candles would be changed as it is suggested we can buy them. I feel badly as I really love the product, but ai can't see having to buy new candles simply because the replacement bulbs aren't available. So I'd recommend the candles, but be aware getting the replacement bulbs seems the challenge.

I would buy if replacement bulbs were offered

I bought these single candles and the triple candle style a year or so ago when P&H sold replacement bulbs. The candles work great, no problem with the timer on any of them. The bulbs are bright, very easily seen in the windows from a distance. The batteries lasted from December 1st well past January. The only problem I've encountered is bulbs going bad, I've had to replace at least 4 bulbs. I tried the bad bulbs in one of the other candles and the bulb didn't work, so I knew it was the bulb. It was no problem when I could order replacement bulbs, but now that P&H doesn't sell them it seems pointless to buy these candles, which is very disappointing. I recommend the candles, but be willing to throw them out when a bulb stops working.
