Strong and attractive brackets

I wanted a more attractive shelf in an open bedroom closet converted to an office space. These are perfect and exceeds the weight required.

Shelf bracket very solid

Remodeling kitchen. My only beef is that steel edges are sharp...needed to soften them myself.

sturdy bracket

I am adding storage shelves above the toilet in the water closet, and these brackets are strong enough to hold plenty of weight. They also are decorative, and the screws are hidden behind the items on the shelf.

Not great

As others have mentioned when first taking these out of the wrapped plastic the first thing you notice is how rough the edges are. These brackets are built with quick production in mind, the steel is sheared, drilled, bent in a brake and wrapped in plastic. I order 12 of these and at $30 something a piece there is an expectation that you are paying for a product that is ready to be installed. The unfinished edges aren't a huge deal once installed, but all of the brake marks from bending are. If these are installed at or above eye level you will be face to face with the uncaring craftsmanship of these fixtures. These marks could be corrected with some light grinding and blending, but I really am unsure if these are plated and the the last thing I want to do is have some discoloration over time if I try to correct these issues myself. Ekena Millwork needs to do better, people are willing to pay for a well crafted finished product. It would be understandable if there were maybe one, two, or three brackets out of the 12 with blemishes, but all that I have unwrapped (5) are unacceptable. Take pride in your name and implement some quality control.

Substantial

These brackets are heavy duty, with that said, you need to hang them properly, according to the wall you have. Finding the studs would be best. Using them to hang an 8 foot shelf. Exactly what I needed.

Exactly what I was looking for

Looking to install shelves in my kitchen that could handle a lot of weight and these were perfect. Only problem was finding wood shelves that was as heavy and well built as these brackets holding them up.

Sturdy and of good value

These brackets are very sturdy!! The measurements are off a little. I was looking for the inside shelf to fit a 2 x 6 board. I was able to notch out at the bracket to make it work.

These are very sturdy; they weigh almost 2.5 lbs. each! They said they are 12" brackets, so I bought 12" shelves, which were too wide. They are build for 12" dimensional lumber which is more like 11.5" wide. The edges are kind of sharp, but otherwise they are fine.
