The utility tub perfectly fit the space we had for it. It replaces an identical tub that was 20 years old and had gotten stained with paint splatter inside of it. The new tub makes our laundry room look much nicer and works exactly as designed.

Wall Mounted Wash Tub

This tub is a replacement for an older tub that was damaged beyond repair. The older tub is heavier and was made of a different material than this new tub so I was a bit dubious about the quality of the Mustee Utilatub. The cleat style wall mount is heavily dependent on stud spacing accuracy. If the studs are not properly spaced then the installer will likely have to fabricate and install a plywood wall mounting plate - this is what I had to do to install this tub sink. The bottom plastic mounts hold the tub base against the wall and are flimsy but they work.

Replacement for original tub. Exact match, with just a plastic cleat instead of metal to hang tub from. I reused the old cleat. This brand has been used in every house I lived in, and is an institution. No need to change or evolve, just make a product that can be relied on to work.

The Mustee Utility’s has been a worthwhile addition to our basement utility room. It is great for handwashing as well as paint brush and roller clean-up. The easy to follow instructions made installation a breeze and the 1-1/2” drain allow fast draining. The only drawback back is the 4” on center faucet. It limits faucet choice.
