Anxious to plant

I have purchased several 17" 9 in 1 raised bed units. I have also purchased one of the same as a house warming gift. I put together a few of the size 5' x 5', and a few in the 2' x 8' which will be for my tomato plants. I wanted to get all the raised beds in this fall, which I succeeded in doing, so come late spring next year I can just plant ! I am very excited !!

Enjoying gardening again

We have 6 total of these beds. Three conformed into 2x8 and 3 are 2.5x9. half have been for our veggie garden, while the other half I've used for a front flower bed. For our wet climate, these have worked great. We can easily get 10+ inches a rain a day at times, and these beds keep our plants from drowning. I use to easily sink ankle deep at times when we had a garden in the ground from too much rain on tilled ground, in contrast, the ground isn't soft when it rains a lot between the beds, plus it easier to lay pavers for a cleaner walk-way. Removing weeds is also way easier in the raised beds as I don't have to bed as far and no longer have grass trying to heavily intrude.

The absolute best for gardening, I’m in love with these raised beds so far after one season. They’re holding up great but time will tell I hope they last as long as everyone suggests they may. Fast shipping and easy to put together with thumb screws. The olive green color is lighter than I thought it would be but still very nice. Each panel comes covered in plastic so the coating does not scratch. I filled each of these with a combination of cardboard (bottom layer), sticks and small logs neatly stacked, then added soil, compost, and soil amendments to fill the space rather than using all soil to cut down on cost. In one of these, I was able to grow 4 tomato plants (3 cherry / 1 Roma), marigolds, and a variety of peppers.

Excellent Product and Excellent Assembly Experience

I bought two 17" beds and used the 3.5x6.5 shape to maximize square footage for my space. The beds came with all the parts necessary to assemble and came with extra bolts. The instructions were very good and I found it very easy to assemble the beds. They were easy to stand inside, pick up, and place them where I wanted them.

We Can Now Say We're Gardeners.

Our side yard was a wasted space. We couldn't really get grass to grow, flowers to stick around and it was simply a mess of untapped space. It gets pretty good sun so my wife and I decided to try our hand at growing vegetables... again. I love to build things and considered making some raised beds from cedar but quickly "squashed" that idea. I did research on kits and ultimately decided on Vego for one, the aesthetics, two, their extensive tutorials for assembling and growing and three, their reviews.

I absolutely LOVE my Vego garden beds! I bought 5 of them and converted an old chicken run into an enclosed garden to keep the deer out of my beds. These are gorgeous! I bought the pretty sage green color and couldn't be happier. They take a while to assemble, as there are 7 bolts every 1.5 feet to put together. It's simple though and I did it myself. I just put on some music and went to work completing one each day. I will say if you aren't very mobile to sit on the floor for long lengths of time, assembly may be challenging for you. The garden beds do not have a bottom, but I installed over garden rock, with a layer of garden cloth underneath. I just filled them with raised bed dirt and set to work planting. They are absolutely perfect!

Love my new gardens

So far I love my raised bed gardens. They were easy to assemble and are very sturdy. I love the olive green color that I chose. I have yet to plant my vegetables because I was waiting for my watering grid to arrive. We made a DIY trellis from a cattle panel for climbing vegetables and flowers. My previous garden was 12"x 4ft x 8ft wood raised bed. We had filled it with straight topsoil because I didn't know it could contain disease and little nutrients. Vegetables did not grow well so I gave up and just had perennials and herbs. This time I purchased bulk raised bed soil and compost and hope for better luck on the vegetable but also plan still grow flowers.

Easy set up; as well as on the eyes and wallet!

Loved how easy the set up is for these beds. We recently moved to a new home that allows me to expand my veg and herb garden size. Due to mobility limitations, I wanted to explore a variety of raised beds heights. This is the first tester box at 17 inches with a very small variety of plants. Love the protected edge and finish color in terracotta! Cannot wait to add more boxes in multiple heights and dimensions to fit my garden needs!

I ordered two of these in a great light green to bookend my garden space. The instructions are super clear and concise and include the different options for configurations that are possible. Everything needed, including a really cool tool, and a high quality edging strip for safety are included. While easily assembled in about 30 minutes, the preparation time will take about the same amount of time because of the shrink wrapping of plastic on both sides of each piece for protection of paint. Glad for it because box was trashed, product perfect! Garden area is looking really nice and the bonus is no hose catching on ground level plants! I also use a hose guide so I dont scratch that paint....

Great quality raised bed!

Love this raised garden bed! I did the 2.5' x 9.5' configuration and it holds a large amount of vegetables (I also ordered the kids bed for herbs and flowers for my toddler daughter!). It was a breeze to put together-- the most time consuming part was removing the protective film from *both* sides of each panel, but after that I was able to put it together very quickly on my own. You can tell it's a very well thought out, quality product that will last a long time, and I am very glad I went with the Vego brand over the others. (My neighbor has a different brand and it has not held up well over the last season). I also love all the add ons that fit perfectly with this garden bed-- I purchased the corresponding Cover System Gen 2 to hopefully keep out the numerous squirrels, rabbits & chipmunks that call our yard home.

Worth the wait...

We've had them for one month and I'm in love. The cream color is beautiful next to our navy blue house and really let's the plants stand out. Took 3 cubic yards to fill them (after lining the bottom with cardboard, grass clippings and some small sticks we lost in a storm). The plants are doing amazing on the south side of our home (Midwest zone 5) and I used the Gardenary method of packing in a variety of plants so we are maximizing the square footage. We invested in the 3'trellis which will grow several peas, green beans, 2 cucumber and 2 cherry tomato plants. I'm also in love with the solar lights, tool box and hose sprayer we added onto our order.

11" Raised Bed Vegetable Garden Beds

I ordered this Vego Raised Garden Bed to replace my existing cedar raised bed garden beds. The cedar beds performed well however over time they have rotted and became infested with termites.

Finally, Successful gardening!!

We live in eastern VA where the soil is compact and clay-based. It is humid and hot in the long summers and near the edge of wetlands. That said these garden beds(we have 12 now!!) are totally an answered prayer! The assembly was easy and parts well-packaged. Plus they are gorgeous! We are able to control the soil composition and easily rotate crops year to year. This will be our third season with them. VegoGarden beds and my new worm composter are making successful gardening a reality! Thank you, VegoGarden!

Great containers, but come with a lot of plastic

The beds are solidly made and went together straightforwardly. It took some time to assemble, but they are holding soil well. A gripe: each panel is lined with plastic on EACH side. I bought these in large part to AVOID plastic, so was very disappointed at all the plastic waste that came with the assembly. These are outdoor containers that will get scratched anyway–why do they need to ship with plastic liners? Please find another way to ship these. For my part, I would have been fine with no separators between panels at all. If you have to have something, could it be thin sheets of paper? Otherwise, the containers are great, but I was very disappointed in this aspect.

Sharp Edges, damaged finish, poor hardware quality

I ordered two 9-1 beds, the surface finish on various panels had damage from manufacturing or shipping despite the plastic that covers the panels. The edges are extremely sharp, that when when assembled if you ran your hand across or down a seam you will get cut on their razor edge. I have purchased other brands of garden bed without this issue. Lastly the hardware package was poorly sorted for quality. I had various fasteners with MISSING thread. I had two if not three different diameter washers as well. I would suggest getting a real engineering team involved to soften the cut edges, it is a real shame that when assembled there is a very dangerous vertical seam along each panel connection that will cut you.

A bit time consuming

I was pleasantly surprised how small the package was but also as surprised as to how heavy it was. It is packaged well needless to say. I found the plastic protective film completely unnecessary, difficult to remove and time consuming; Especially if you have more than one product to assemble. The finish and the metal itself is really nice, I cannot comment yet on the longevity of this garden bed. The screws and nuts all came in one bag which also took time to go through. I feel these should have been separated so that it was easily accounted. Overall it is a nice raised bed that I look forward to using.

Plastic Film Hard to Remove, Impacts Assembly Time

We are getting an early spring and decided to assemble the two raised beds we had ordered in November, the 4 in 1 first. I noted the assembly time of 30 minutes on the box and thought it would be no problem. Wrong! We had considerable difficulty pulling off the protective film that was on the panels. It took both hands and a substantial amount of tugging to pull it off, and constant issues with it tearing and leaving small pieces of the plastic behind, particularly on the edges.

Go big!

I combined 2 4x8' beds and some extension panels to make 4X18' beds. My Husband and I were very impressed by the quality and the thoughtfulness of the design. Having cap nuts on the top joints to prevent scraping knuckles while working in the beds is a thoughtful detail that really stands out. I was also impressed that I can lean a wheelbarrow along the rim without any worry of damaging or lifting the rubber edge guard.

Ordered 1, Loved it, and Ordered 2 More

I watched a non-sponsored YouTube channel order 4 of these kits, then build and fill - and then they ordered more. I decided to order my first kit. The parts were all packed extremely well and did not have any shipping damage. All the hardware was included correctly and some spares fasteners also. I built the kit in my living room floor in 8'x2' configuration and then stood in the middle of it, picked it up and walked it out the back door. The color olive green is exactly as displayed. It is very sturdy and beautiful! I just ordered two more of this kit in pearl white for another location to join together to make a 14'x2', and then I will use the 4 leftover curved pieces to make a 2'x2' round. I can't wait to get this next bed in place!

Modularity Presents Some Challenges

I purchased the 10-in-1 and a 6-in-1 kits, as well as 4 extension kits to extend the length of my beds. I did a lot of research before this purchase, and ultimately decided to make a significant investment in my garden beds with the Vego modular systems. I REALLY wanted to love them but I am honestly underwhelmed with the product and experience for the price.
