This shoe bench has been a great help for the kids putting their shoes in a more orderly way. Instead of shoes all over the entry they now have a safer place to be stored. Great bench for putting them on also. Have used this bench for years.

My item arrived fast in great condition. Like most put-together-yourself stuff..it had lots of screws and dowels. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. It looks great, just like the picture.

Functional - exactly as expected for price.

This is a cheaply made but totally usable storage bench. I have had it for several years. It's fine. It doesn't look super solid or well made but for the price, it's totally functional. I have kids so I didn't want to put too much $$ into it.

Good place to sit an take shoes off

This product is very sturdy, we use it in our mud room as a place to take our shoes off, and also as a place to store our shoes. For men shoes (I'm a size 11.5), they will take up roughly two bays so keep that in mind with the amount of shoes that can be stored. This took me about 40 minutes to put together; I am relatively handy but I went rogue and tried it without the instructions; the instructions are fairly easy to follow

I’m Happy!

I wasn’t sure if this was going to work for all of our shoes. I was sceptical since my husband has many size 12 shoes and I thought they wouldn’t fit, but fortunately, it looks good and everything fits nicely. I can fit 2 pairs of my toddlers shoes one in front of the other.

Bad seams. Not well built. Does hold shoes.

I can't recommend this. Poorly made. See the photo for the gaps. The holes don't line up creating a really bad gap on one side. I wood glued to to compensate. Note the orientation of the shoes, that's the only way adult shoes will fit in the holes. They must have used baby shoes in some of the photos. It will do the job, but it's another piece of 'throwaway when you move' furniture.

Great purchase

We love this bench and it is perfect. my Hubby got it put together by himself, but it is VERY heavy, so he slid it across the wood floor into the closet. It is very sturdy and it looks wonderful. No one will see it but us, BUT I am thinking about using it at the foot of my bed, it looks so nice. You will not be disappointed. The petitions are not wood so do not be surprised but they are sturdy enough for our needs, not too flimsy at all. There is Plenty of room for my shoes. It was a Great purchase and a good price. I had looked at a number of other places for one and this price beat the rest for the quality. The color is the perfect white and no scrapes, scratches or dents. It arrived very quickly and it was dropped off at our front door.

Easy assembly, looks great!

This was easy to put together. I did it by myself in about 30 minutes. I was worried after reading some of the previous reviews but the directions were clear and everything fit well. It also arrived Undamaged. Im very happy with the finished product!

Shoe storage is they key to a neat entryway

Versatile and useful shoe cubbies. Neatens up the home getting shoes off the ground! Installed in my home's front hallway and have enjoyed 6 years of daily use. Best purchase for our household!

This has been the best purchase for our household. 2 kids and 2 adults and soooo many shoes. This contains them and looks nice. Plus it gives the kids a target to shoot for when putting away their shoes (Yay for me)! We also keep a sock basket for each child in the corners so it is a one-shop-stop on our way out the door. On holidays, we decorate the top of it too to be festive otherwise we use it to sit on to donn/doff our shoes or pop the kids up there to assist with their shoes. And shockingly, it stays white! Easy to clean and vacuum out. Highly recommend!

Invest in a rubber mallet

I will start off by saying that this took me almost two hours to build! There are so many pieces and the instructions are only pictures. Which is fine, but there are really interesting screw parts to this thing that I have never even seen before! So more detailed instructions would have been really helpful! Also you need 4 different tools to set this thing up, and if you don’t have a rubber mallet I suggest you invest in one to help put this together with out damaging the veneer! On the bright side it looks great and holds a ton of shoes!

Love the shoe cubbie! Purchased it in combination with the above head storage cubbies with coat rack and it looks great at our back door! Sturdy and easy to assemble. Company loved having a spot not only to hang their jacket/purse but also a place to neatly leave shoes as we request no shoes throughout the house! Love the organization instead of piles of shoes sitting around. Put a couple of decorative pillows on top and it looks so cute!

I ordered this bench for our mudroom. It arrived and had significant damage to the top of the bench. I was very disappointed and could see how it happened since the packing didn't provide much protection. In addition, the painted dividers were rough on the edges and needed a couple of additional coats of pain. Since this is tucked away in our mud room (and I figured that repackaging and returning it would be a huge hassle), I decided to keep it, but wouldn't recommend it for an area with high visibility. On a positive note, it was VERY easy to assemble.

This item was not as the description stated. It was not wood, but press board. The top and sides were not painted white. It was covered with a thin sheet of white stick on paper! It was peeling up on the corners and at the bottom. There was also a chip on the edge of the top. After being so disappointed in this product I started searching online and found it at two other companies for between $40.00 to $50.00 less. . I have always been very happy with the prices I've paid for products through Houzz. However, in the future I will search prices at different vendors prior to ordering!

This came three days after I ordered it so it was nice and quick! I put it together as soon as it showed up on my door and it only took me about 45 minutes without a drill. It does require some strength at points and the instruction booklet is mainly pictures but it was pretty easy to figure out. I decided to identify each piece and lay it out as if it were already assembled so it was really easy to identify which pieces I needed and where they went since I did all that before actually putting it together. It definitely isn't the most beautiful piece ever but it'll do exactly what I need it to and it looks good for the price. Only complaint so far is that the cubby inserts are not very snug so I had to wedge a tiny piece of folded up paper into the gap but it looks like it won't jiggle anymore. Exactly what I expected for the price. This is one sturdy piece of furniture. The texture is tough and can withstand a lot of pressure and activity. I keep this in the entry way and use it to sit on, place packages, and mail. The surface is hard with a thick coating. However, I was able to create a small scratch when I dragged a 50 pound package with thick staples all around it. The scratch to my surprise was small and barely noticeable. No one sees it but me. Shoes fit well in the cubbies. My finance wears men's 11 and has no problem with regular shoes. High tops typically won't fit unless they're not too high. The cubbies on the very end can fit a pair of shoes side by side in one cubby. For my fiancé, he needs to put all his shoes sideways to fit in one cubby. It's looks great and helps with storage!

Great Shoe storage option

I looked a long time fo find a shoe storage organizer for my closet. I really am happy with this one. The assembly was a little difficult but I am not the best at putting things together. The instructions were clear. I love the look of this. It fit most of my shoes. I had a few that wouldn't fit (my higher heels) but the cubbies are deep so I was able to get two small pair in some of them. (I put less favorite shoes I wear less behind) so I was able to get quite a few pair in. I also love the top that can be used as additional shelving. I would definitely recommend this product. Functional and looks good.

Good except for shipping

This product is well designed, attractive, and easy to assemble with clear, picture-based instructions. All the parts were present on delivery and easy to identify. The final product is sturdy enough and perfectly resembles the provided images on the website. Two changes would earn this product a fifth star: 1) The packing material should include styrofoam, stacked cardboard or similar protection fitted to the corners of the bench top. As packaged, one corner of the bench arrived with a well-smashed corner, which means I'll either need to get that part replaced or cover it up with a cushion. 2) As reported by other reviewers, the cubbies are a bit small for a large pair of adult shoes. Losing a column (so 15 instead of 18 cubbies) would make for a better product and add nothing to cost.

Extremely disappointed

Item came with the huge damage right on the front if the bench top part.... it looks so ugly. I am so disappointed and upset... we noticed it only half way thru the assembly... what do I do now? I can't put it apart anymore..,

I bought this as soon as I saw it because I wanted 18 cubbies for shoes, and the width of 4 feet ...

I bought this as soon as I saw it because I wanted 18 cubbies for shoes, and the width of 4 feet was about perfect. I didn't pay too much attention to the materials used to make this. When it arrived I discovered it was particleboard/MDF, and any surface not easily visible was unfinished (that is, capable of absorbing moisture from the air). I spent six hours priming and painting all unfinished surfaces because this will be kept in the garage. I am hoping that will be sufficient for the temperature and humidity variation that takes place there as opposed to the interior of the house. ( i've had it for about two weeks, and I think it will take over a year to see how it holds up throughout the weather changes). Since the materials are on the low-end of the quality scale, I was tempted to give this only three stars, but I changed it to four because I guess that's what you should expect for this low of a price. 24" high is a bit tall ( especially if you put a cushion on top) for a bench if you want to sit while put your shoes on, but again, the dimensions are completely clear in the description, so this is just my own personal preference.
